[Termes IGN] programmation non linéaireRésumé : (Auteur) Within the framework of this thesis adjustment is investigated according to the least squares method in a nonlinear Gauss-Markoff model. The minimization of the least squares criterion regularly results in a solution of an optimization problem. The necessary condition for a local minimum (optimality of the first order) leads to the system of nonlinear normal equations. The sufficient condition for a local minimum (optimality of the second order) provides information about the admissibility of the least squares method. By means of the geometrical analysis of the minimum problem it is possible to successfully present a clear interpretation of the optimality criteria.
Methods for the determination of the total solution set of a nonlinear algebraic system of normal equations are elucidated. Subsequently there follows the geometrical discussion of the Gaufi-Newton Method as well as the Newton-Raphson Method, two methods of different order of differentiation for the iterative refinement of an initial approximation value.
Using the example of the resection problem (with distances) the results of the theoretical conside--rations are confirmed. Special emphasis is thereby placed on the determination of the total solution set of the system of normal equations as well as on the admissible solutions of the minimum pro-blem. Two methods are put forward for the computation of suitable initial values in the case of the iterative solution of the system of normal equations.
The final part of the work consists of a discussion regarding the geodetic resection and intersection problems with respect to the model choice and to the nonlinear normal equations.Numéro de notice : 28059 Affiliation des auteurs : non IGN Thématique : MATHEMATIQUE Nature : Thèse étrangère Permalink : https://documentation.ensg.eu/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=63406 Réservation

The time difference between the arrival of the signals at two different observing stations is the prime VLBI-observable.
When several radio telescopes are linked to a network and have observed different sources for a time interval of normally 24 hours, we speak of a VLBI experiment. The sequence of the sources to be monitored is deter-mined by the observing schedule.
In order to obtain the best quality of determination of the target parameters, the variance/covariance matrix of the parameters should have an optimal design. This optimal design depends on the geometric configuration of the observations. Until now, the observations are selected interactively in a time-consuming process and without a precise knowledge of the quality of determination. In this thesis an algorithm is developed which allows the automatic creation of optimized VLBI observing schedules.
The analogies between the optimization of geodetic networks and the problem under consideration are dis-cussed and then the problem is presented as a 1 .order design problem where the observing stations must be linked optimally by time delay observations. It is a problem of sequentiel decisions, which can be solved on the basis of the process of dynamic optimization. The problem is analysed and a simplified numerical method of
solution suited for implementation in a computer program is derived.
i
Furthermore, simulated observing schedules from the international observing program IRIS are presented. Some of those schedules have been used in real measurement campaigns. The observing positions have a tendency to accumulate in certain regions of the observable sky. The improvements of the accuracies range between 15% to 20% in comparison to the 'hand-made' schedules.
The significance of the new method is given on the one hand by the various possibilities of application while designing new networks and schedules and on the other hand by the much more efficient way of creating obser-ving schedules.Numéro de notice : 28077 Affiliation des auteurs : non IGN Thématique : POSITIONNEMENT Nature : Thèse étrangère Permalink : https://documentation.ensg.eu/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=63424 Réservation

[Termes IGN] stéréoscopieRésumé : (auteur) We present an approach for the detection of building in aerial images using binocular and monocular information. A cooperative method is developed in which both stereo matching and perceptual grouping techniques are used to ensure a reliable detection of building structures in a contour map. Indeed, when one uses geometric grouping alone, one has to resolve a hard combinatorial search problem. So, we propose to use the disparity map obtained by stereo matching to filter irrelevant contours. This approach allows us to reduce the search space for the geometric grouping process, which uses the remaining contours to detect buildings according to the principle of perceptual organization. In this work, we only consider the class of buildings which can be modeled as a combination of rectangular structures. The detected buildings are then fed back to the stereo process to generate a new disparity map in which building forms are better preserved. In our stereo matching algorithm, we use a dynamic programming technique to estimate the disparity at each point before computing it using both parametric and non-parametric correlation. This strategy allows us to speed up the correlation process and reduce the risk of false matching.
