[Termes IGN] série temporelleRésumé : (auteur) We consider the detection of changes in the mean of a set of time series. The breakpoints are allowed to be series specific, and the series are assumed to be correlated. The correlation between the series is supposed to be constant along time but is allowed to take an arbitrary form. We show that such a dependence structure can be encoded in a factor model. Thanks to this representation, the inference of the breakpoints can be achieved via dynamic programming, which remains one the most efficient algorithms. We propose a model selection procedure to determine both the number of breakpoints and the number of factors. This proposed method is implemented in the FASeg R package, which is available on the CRAN. We demonstrate the performances of our procedure through simulation experiments and present an application to geodesic data. [Termes IGN] système de gestion de bases de données relationnellesRésumé : (Auteur) Biomasses are materials of organic origin that can be used for the production of energy. Among the renewable energy sources, a prominent role is played by woody biomass, which can be retrieved from existing forests or plantations governed in short or middle rotation coppice, the so-called Short and Medium Rotation Forestry. The main environmental benefit resulting from the use of wood biomass consists in the fact that the amount of carbon dioxide released during their combustion process is the same as that absorbed during the development phase. Here, we propose a procedure to manage the traceability of short biomass chains and to schedule the activities for mobile forest construction sites using free and open-source GIS technologies. Firstly, we created a spatial DB to manage the areas where the cutting and logging activities are performed. Then, we overlapped the boundaries of areas with the cadastral sheets to ensure the biomass comes from short chain, i.e., within the range of 70 km from the position of the central. To plan the number of working days required and make an estimation of the production, the total area of the lots, the land clearing, and the net area were calculated. Finally, depending on the characteristics of wooded areas, the type of system to be used for the business of cutting and logging was evaluated. This work demonstrates how GIS allows a fast traceability of short biomass chains and an estimation of the production by improving the efficiency and effectiveness of biomass resource assessment. [Vedettes matières IGN] GéovisualisationRésumé : (Auteur) Creating appropriate colour schemes is challenging for both novice and experienced cartographers. This paper introduces an artificial bee colony (ABC) algorithm to automatically create various colour schemes. Colour scheme creation is treated as a constrained search problem in a continuous colour space. We considered the gamut of the target device and a series of cartographic rules, such as convention, discrimination, contrast, perceptual uniformity and brightness mirror, in the ABC algorithm and presented detailed initialization, fitness definition, local exploration, and global exploration methods for creating qualitative, sequential and diverging colour schemes. The proposed method is evaluated with a case study, and the results indicate that compared with the brute force search method, the proposed method can create satisfying colour schemes of similar quality but significantly improved efficiency. [Termes IGN] semis de pointsRésumé : (Auteur) We present a novel method for reconstructing parametric, volumetric, multi-story building models from unstructured, unfiltered indoor point clouds with oriented normals by means of solving an integer linear optimization problem. Our approach overcomes limitations of previous methods in several ways: First, we drop assumptions about the input data such as the availability of separate scans as an initial room segmentation. Instead, a fully automatic room segmentation and outlier removal is performed on the unstructured point clouds. Second, restricting the solution space of our optimization approach to arrangements of volumetric wall entities representing the structure of a building enforces a consistent model of volumetric, interconnected walls fitted to the observed data instead of unconnected, paper-thin surfaces. Third, we formulate the optimization as an integer linear programming problem which allows for an exact solution instead of the approximations achieved with most previous techniques. Lastly, our optimization approach is designed to incorporate hard constraints which were difficult or even impossible to integrate before. We evaluate and demonstrate the capabilities of our proposed approach on a variety of complex real-world point clouds.
