[Termes IGN] web mappingRésumé : (Auteur) The selection of map projections is difficult and confusing for many. This article introduces Projection Wizard, an online map projection selection tool available at projectionwizard.org that helps mapmakers select projections. The user selects the desired distortion property, and the area to be mapped on an interactive web map. Projection Wizard then proposes a projection, along with projection parameters (such as standard parallels). The tool also creates a preview map with the proposed projection, and provides the corresponding projection code in PROJ.4 format, if applicable. The automated selection process is based on John P. Snyder's selection guideline with a few adjustments. This article discusses the automated selection process, and the map projections suggested. Projection Wizard solves the problem of map projection selection for many applications and helps cartographers and GIS users choose appropriate map projections. [Termes IGN] système de projectionRésumé : (auteur) This article presents three new methods (M5, M6, M7) for the estimation of an unknown map projection and its parameters. Such an analysis is beneficial and interesting for historic, old, or current maps without information about the map projection; it could improve their georeference. The location similarity approach takes into account the residuals on the corresponding features; the minimum is found using the non-linear least squares. For the shape similarity approach, the minimized objective function ϕ takes into account the spatial distribution of the features, together with the shapes of the meridians, parallels and other 0D-2D elements. Due to the non-convexity and discontinuity, its global minimum is determined using the global optimization, represented by the differential evolution. The constant values of projection φ k , λ k , φ 1, λ 0, and map constants R,ΔX,ΔY, α (in relation to which the methods are invariant) are estimated. All methods are compared and the results are presented for the synthetic data as well as for 8 early maps from the Map Collection of the Charles University and the David Rumsay Map Collection. The proposed algorithms have been implemented in the new version of the detectproj software. [Termes IGN] système d'information géographiqueRésumé : (auteur) Bien qu'élevée en France au rang de cause nationale depuis longtemps, et en dépit d'avancées conséquentes, la problématique de la sécurité routière résiste encore aux politiques publiques. Cette recherche pose l'hypothèse que le territoire exerce un effet de structure commandant les formes, intensités et déroulement de la circulation, jusqu'à produire et inscrire spatialement des situations à risque récurrentes. Pour appréhender le problème dans sa complexité territoriale, il est nécessaire de mobiliser autant les approches empiriques des experts de terrain que celles hypothético-déductives des chercheurs. Cet article présente une approche combinée chercheurs/experts, concrétisée par un outil participatif d'information spatiale, destiné à faire évoluer les connaissances des situations globales à risques à différentes échelles à travers un enrichissement et une validation mutuels. Une application portant sur la recherche de zonages prioritaires pertinents pour une action ciblant les usagers vulnérables (piétons, cyclistes) sur le territoire de Lille LMCU est présentée en détail.
