[Termes IGN] reconstruction d'objetRésumé : (auteur) Due to medium scattering, absorption, and complex light interactions, capturing objects from the underwater environment has always been a difficult task. Single-pixel imaging (SPI) is an efficient imaging approach that can obtain spatial object information under low-light conditions. In this paper, we propose a single-pixel object inspection system for the underwater environment based on compressive sensing super-resolution convolutional neural network (CS-SRCNN). With the CS-SRCNN algorithm, image reconstruction can be achieved with 30% of the total pixels in the image. We also investigate the impact of compression ratios on underwater object SPI reconstruction performance. In addition, we analyzed the effect of peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR) and structural similarity index (SSIM) to determine the image quality of the reconstructed image. Our work is compared to the SPI system and SRCNN method to demonstrate its efficiency in capturing object results from an underwater environment. The PSNR and SSIM of the proposed method have increased to 35.44% and 73.07%, respectively. This work provides new insight into SPI applications and creates a better alternative for underwater optical object imaging to achieve good quality. [Termes IGN] sol nuRésumé : (Auteur) Le levé LiDAR présenté dans cet article a été effectué dans le cadre d’une mission d’évaluation de la chaîne de traitement mdInfinity, appliquée à des données acquises par un système drone LiDAR Microdrones. Les différents outils qui constituent cette chaîne de traitement ont été développés et intégrés sur la plateforme de traitement mdInfinity dans une version particulièrement adaptée au système de levé utilisé pour cette mission. Le site utilisé pour cette évaluation est le barrage de Labrioulette (Haute-Garonne), infrastructure située sur la Garonne et exploitée par EDF. Cette zone contient de nombreux éléments sur lesquels la précision et l’exactitude des données LiDAR est primordiale afin d’obtenir un nuage de point exploitable ; notamment la complexité structurelle du barrage (figure 1), les zones sous couvert végétal dense, l’aire de transformation électrique, etc. Pour cette raison, en plus de confirmer la bonne interopérabilité des systèmes LiDAR Microdrones avec les outils de traitement mdInfinity, nous avons tiré profit de cette acquisition pour évaluer les performances de nos algorithmes. [Termes IGN] signalRésumé : (auteur) Accurate ranging and wideband tracking are treated as two independent and separate processes in traditional radar systems. As a result, limited by low data rate due to nonsequential processing, accurate ranging usually performs low efficiency in practical application. Similarly, without applying accurate ranging, the data after thresholding and clustering are used in wideband tracking, leading to a significant decrease in tracking accuracy. In this article, an integrated Kalman filter of accurate ranging and tracking is proposed using methods of phase-derived-ranging and Bayesian inference in wideband radar. Besides the motion state, in this integrated Kalman filter, the complex-valued high-resolution range profile (HRRP) is also introduced as a reference signal by coherent integration in a sliding window, which incorporates target’s scattering distribution and phase characteristics. Corresponding kinetic equations are derived to predict the motion state and the reference signal in the next moment. A ranging process is constructed based on the received signal and the predicted reference signal in order to estimate innovation using methods of phase-derived-ranging and Bayesian inference, and a sequential update for motion state can be accomplished with the Kalman filter as well. In every recursion, the complex-valued reference signal is also updated by coherently integrating the latest pulses. The integrated Kalman filter takes full use of high range resolution and phase information, improving both efficiency and precision compared with conventional approaches of ranging and wideband tracking. Implemented in a sequential manner, the integrated Kalman filter can be applied in a real-time application, realizing simultaneous ranging with high precision and wideband tracking. Finally, simulated and real-measured experiments confirm the remarkable performance. Public transport is playing an increasingly important role in urban mobility with a need to move people and goods efficiently around the city. With such pressures on existing public transportation systems, this paper investigates the opportunities to use social media to more effectively engage with citizens and customers using such services. This research forms a case study of the use of passively collected forms of big data in cities – focusing on Sydney, Australia. Firstly, it examines social media data (Tweets) related to public transport performance. Secondly, it joins this to longitudinal big data – delay information continuously broadcast by the network over a year, thus forming hundreds of millions of data artifacts. Topics, tones, and sentiment are modeled using machine learning and Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques. These resulting data, and models, are compared to opinions derived from a citizen survey among users. The validity of such data and models versus the intentions of users, in the context of systems that monitor and improve transport performance, are discussed. As such, key recommendations for developing Smart Cities were formed in an applied research context based on these data and techniques.
