[Termes IGN] superpixelRésumé : (auteur) Existing superpixel-based detection algorithms for ship targets in synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images are often derived from the local contrast of intensities (i.e., the local contrast of the first-order information of superpixels) leading to deteriorating performance in low signal-to-clutter ratio (SCR) cases due to the low contrast between the intensities of targets and the clutter. In this article, we propose a new superpixel-based detector to improve the performance of ship target detection in SAR images via the local contrast of fisher vectors (LCFVs). The new LCFV-based detector exploits multiorder features of the superpixels based on the Gaussian mixture model (GMM) and accordingly improves the discrimination capability between the ship targets and the sea clutter, especially in low SCR cases. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed LCFV-based detection algorithm provides better detection performance than the commonly used detection algorithms. [Termes IGN] transmission de donnéesRésumé : (auteur) This paper addresses the problem of semi-supervised transfer learning with limited cross-modality data in remote sensing. A large amount of multi-modal earth observation images, such as multispectral imagery (MSI) or synthetic aperture radar (SAR) data, are openly available on a global scale, enabling parsing global urban scenes through remote sensing imagery. However, their ability in identifying materials (pixel-wise classification) remains limited, due to the noisy collection environment and poor discriminative information as well as limited number of well-annotated training images. To this end, we propose a novel cross-modal deep-learning framework, called X-ModalNet, with three well-designed modules: self-adversarial module, interactive learning module, and label propagation module, by learning to transfer more discriminative information from a small-scale hyperspectral image (HSI) into the classification task using a large-scale MSI or SAR data. Significantly, X-ModalNet generalizes well, owing to propagating labels on an updatable graph constructed by high-level features on the top of the network, yielding semi-supervised cross-modality learning. We evaluate X-ModalNet on two multi-modal remote sensing datasets (HSI-MSI and HSI-SAR) and achieve a significant improvement in comparison with several state-of-the-art methods. With the use of the sea surface echo (SSE) data obtained from the spaceborne PRs, this article aims to estimate the radar parameters of pulsewidth and beamwidth and to evaluate the bias in the NRCS estimates caused by the discrete range sampling. Since the SSE shape is closely related to the received pulsewidth and the two-way cross-track beamwidth, those parameters are individually estimated from the SSE shapes. The SSE shapes are also used to evaluate the impact of the discrete range sampling on the NRCS statistics. The pulsewidth and beamwidth estimated from the SSEs compare well with the level-1 values and accurately reflect changes in the configuration of the radars. The NRCS statistics in GPM version 06 show that the calibration consistency between GPM KuPR and TRMM PR is evaluated within the range of −0.39 to +0.03 dB (−0.48 to +0.11 dB) with (without) the peak correction. [Termes IGN] TaïwanRésumé : (auteur) Applications of low-cost single-frequency continuous GPS receivers for monitoring volcano and landslide activities as well as to complement dual-frequency receivers have been demonstrated to produce stable and accurate positioning. In studies of crustal deformation, the relative distance between monitoring stations may vary from several kilometers to tens of kilometers, hence the differential single-frequency observations cannot model the ionospheric delay or other distance dependent errors. The 55 low-cost single-frequency continuous stations have been deployed together with 52 continuous dual-frequency stations in southeastern Taiwan since 2008. All of the single-frequency stations have applied corrections using dual-frequency stations to eliminate the distance dependent errors. Comparing velocity estimates from 8 co-located, the differences in horizontal and vertical components are less than 3 mm/yr and 6 mm/yr, respectively. Our study shows that the combination of single- and dual-frequency GPS data can provide robust results to study the fault slip behavior on the Longitudinal Valley fault. [Termes IGN] traitement de données GNSSRésumé : (auteur) GipsyX/RTGx is the Jet Propulsion Laboratory’s (JPL) next generation software package for positioning, navigation, timing, and Earth science using measurements from three geodetic techniques: Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), Satellite Laser Ranging (SLR), and Doppler Orbitography and Radiopositioning Integrated by Satellite (DORIS); with Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI) under development. The software facilitates combined estimation of geodetic and geophysical parameters using a Kalman filter approach on real or simulated data in both post-processing and in real-time. The estimated parameters include station coordinates and velocities, satellite orbits and clocks, Earth orientation, ionospheric and tropospheric delays. The software is also capable of full realization of a dynamic terrestrial reference through analysis and combination of time series of ground station coordinates.
Applying lessons learned from its predecessors, GIPSY-OASIS and Real Time GIPSY (RTG), GipsyX/RTGx was re-designed from the ground up to offer improved precision, accuracy, usability, and operational flexibility. We present some key aspects of its new architecture, and describe some of its major applications, including Real-time orbit determination and ephemeris predictions in the U.S. Air Force Next Generation GPS Operational Control Segment (OCX), as well as in JPL’s Global Differential GPS (GDGPS) System, supporting User Range Error (URE) of
5 cm RMS; precision post-processing GNSS orbit determination, including JPL’s contributions to the International GNSS Service (IGS) with URE in the 2 cm RMS range; Precise point positioning (PPP) with ambiguity resolution, both statically and kinematically, for geodetic applications with 2 mm horizontal, and 6.5 mm vertical repeatability for static positioning; Operational orbit and clock determination for Low Earth Orbiting (LEO) satellites, such as NASA’s Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) mission with GRACE relative clock alignment at the 20 ps level; calibration of radio occultation data from LEO satellites for weather forecasting and climate studies; Satellite Laser Ranging (SLR) to GNSS and LEO satellites, DORIS-based and multi-technique orbit determination for LEO; production of terrestrial reference frames and Earth rotation parameters in support of JPL’s contribution to the International Terrestrial Reference Frame (ITRF).Numéro de notice : A2020-575 Affiliation des auteurs : UMR IPGP-Géod+Ext (2020- ) Thématique : INFORMATIQUE/POSITIONNEMENT Nature : Article nature-HAL : ArtAvecCL-RevueIntern DOI : 10.1016/j.asr.2020.04.015 Date de publication en ligne : 22/04/2020 En ligne : https://doi.org/10.1016/j.asr.2020.04.015 Format de la ressource électronique : URL article Permalink : https://documentation.ensg.eu/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=96369
