[Termes IGN] système de coordonnéesRésumé : (Auteur) This paper is describing nomenclatures proposal of the new official map sheets of the Republic of Croatia followed by recently establishment of new official projection referent coordinate system of the Republic of Croatia (HTRS96/TM). The new map grids are made for official cartographic map scales. The new nomenclature system is developed for the offi-cial cartographic map scales: 1:250 000, 1:100 000, 1:50 000, 1:25 000, 1:10 000, 1:5 000, 1:2 000, 1:1 000 and 1:500. Nomenclature is represented of unique alphanumeric syntax. Sheet indexing using unique integer is more suitable considering Information and Communications Technologies (ICT). Every map sheet has the nomenclature and the unique integer index. [Termes IGN] web mappingRésumé : (Editeur) Open Source GIS (Geographic Information System) is a growing area with the explosion of applications such as Google Maps, Google Earth, and GPS. The GIS market is growing rapidly and as a Python developer you will find yourself either wanting grounding in GIS or needing to get up to speed to do your job. In today's location-aware world, all commercial Python developers can benefit from an understanding of GIS development gained using this book. Working with geospatial data can get complicated because you are dealing with mathematical models of the Earth's surface. Since Python is a powerful programming language with high-level toolkits, it is well suited to GIS development. This book will familiarize you with the Python tools required for geo-spatial development such as Mapnik, which is used for mapping in Python. It introduces GIS at the basic level with a clear, detailed walkthrough of the key GIS concepts such as location, distance, units, projections, datums, and GIS data formats. We then examine a number of Python libraries and combine these with geo-spatial data to accomplish a variety of tasks. The book provides an in-depth look at the concept of storing spatial data in a database and how you can use spatial databases as tools to solve a variety of geospatial problems. [Termes IGN] projection équivalenteRésumé : (Auteur) We developed a direct partitioning method to construct a seamless discrete global grid system (DGGS) with any resolution based on a two-dimensional projected plane and the earth ellipsoid. This DGGS is composed of congruent square grids over the projected plane and irregular ellipsoidal quadrilaterals on the ellipsoidal surface. A new equal area projection named the parallels plane (PP) projection derived from the expansion of the central meridian and parallels has been employed to perform the transformation between the planar squares and the corresponding ellipsoidal grids. The horizontal sides of the grids are parts of the parallel circles and the vertical sides are complex ellipsoidal curves, which can be obtained by the inverse expression of the PP projection. The partition strategies, transformation equations, geometric characteristics and distortions for this DGGS have been discussed. Our analysis proves that the DGGS is area-preserving while length distortions only occur on the vertical sides off the central meridian. Angular and length distortions positively correlate to the increase in latitudes and the spanning of longitudes away from a chosen central meridian. This direct partition only generates a small number of broken grids that can be treated individually.
