[Termes IGN] récepteur GPSRésumé : (auteur) GNSS integrity assessment has always been linked to the need for reliable positional information. Initially used in aviation, positional information gained even more relevance in terrestrial applications with the popularity of GNSS. However, the terrestrial environment has many influences over GNSS signals, which reduces the positional quality of tracking objects. Advances have been achieved in the use of integrity monitoring algorithms, but there are limitations to their use, especially those concerning positional accuracy in urban environments with low-cost devices. This paper aims to discuss a comparative method using two low-cost GNSS receivers designed for transportation applications and to verify whether this method can evaluate positional quality in pre-established locations, as well as the possibilities of using these devices for transportation applications, considering the positional error. Results show that, in the static experiment, the receiver assembled with a GPS antenna active embedded was more accurate than the receiver assembled with an external antenna, presenting better values in 5 out of 10 evaluated sites, while the external antenna performed better in only 2 sites. However, in a kinematic evaluation, the receiver assembled with an external antenna provided better results when considering positional error as assessment criterion, resulting in values less than or equal to 8 meters in 99.7% of the route evaluated, while the embedded antenna had 95.3%. [Termes IGN] précision du positionnementRésumé : (auteur) The search procedure, as a part of the Modified Ambiguity Function Approach (MAFA), is conducted in the coordinate space. The main advantage of searching for a fixed solution in the coordinate domain, instead of in the ambiguity domain, is the constant search space dimension, which amounts to three. In contrast, an ambiguity space dimension can presently achieve over twenty when the positioning is based on multi-system data. Thus, in the MAFA method, the computational complexity is independent of the number of satellites. We propose a new method of estimating the length of the search step. In this method, the actual satellite configuration determines the size of the search step. Therefore, the data-driven search step is always optimal, regardless of the current satellite configuration. The mathematical model of the new approach is provided together with a detailed algorithm. The numerical experiment follows the description of the search procedure. [Termes IGN] surface de la merRésumé : (auteur) The geodetic Corsica site was set up in 1998 in order to perform altimeter calibration of the TOPEX/Poseidon (T/P) mission and subsequently, Jason-1, OSTM/Jason-2, Jason-3 and more recently Sentinel-6 Michael Freilich (launched on November, 21 2020). The aim of the present study held in June 2015 is to validate a recently developed GNSS-based sea level instrument (called CalNaGeo) that is designed with the intention to map Sea Surface Heights (SSH) over large areas. This has been undertaken using the well-defined geodetic infrastructure deployed at Senetosa Cape, and involved the estimation of the stability of the waterline (and thus the instantaneous separation of a GNSS antenna from water level) as a function of the velocity at which the instrument is towed. The results show a largely linear relationship which is approximately 1 mm/(m/s) up to a maximum practical towing speed of ∼10 knots (∼5 m/s). By comparing to the existing “geoid” map, it is also demonstrated that CalNaGeo can measure a sea surface slope with a precision better than 1 mm/km (∼2.5% of the physical slope). Different processing techniques are used and compared including GNSS Precise Point Positioning (PPP, where the goal is to extend SSH mapping far from coastal GNSS reference stations) showing an agreement at the 1-2 cm level. [Termes IGN] vapeur d'eauRésumé : (auteur) GNSS meteorology is today one of the most growing technologies to monitor severe weather events. In this paper, we present the usage of 160 GPS reference stations over the period of 14 days to monitor and track Hurricane Harvey, which struck Texas in August 2017. We estimate the Zenith Wet Delay (ZWD) and the tropospheric gradients with 30 s interval using TOMION v2 software and carry out the processing in Precise Point Positioning (PPP) mode. We study the relationship of these parameters with atmospheric variables extracted from Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission (TRMM) satellite mission and climate reanalysis model ERA5. This research finds that the ZWD shows patterns related to the rainfall rate and to the location of the hurricane. We also find that the tropospheric gradients are correlated with water vapor gradients before and after the hurricane, and with the wind and the pressure gradients only after the hurricane. This study also shows a new finding regarding the spectral distribution of the gradients, with a clear diurnal period present, which is also found on the ZWD itself. This kind of study approaches the GNSS meteorology to the increasing requirements of meteorologist in terms of monitoring severe weather events. [Termes IGN] vision par ordinateurRésumé : (auteur) High-precision localization through multi-sensor fusion has become a popular research direction in unmanned driving. However, most previous studies have performed optimally only in open-sky conditions; therefore, high-precision localization in complex urban environments required an urgent solution. The complex urban environments employed in this study include dynamic environments, which result in limited visual localization performance, and highly occluded environments, which yield limited global navigation satellite system (GNSS) performance. In order to provide high-precision localization in these environments, we propose a vision-aided GNSS positioning method using semantic information by integrating stereo cameras and GNSS into a loosely coupled navigation system. To suppress the effect of dynamic objects on visual positioning accuracy, we propose a dynamic-simultaneous localization and mapping (Dynamic-SLAM) algorithm to extract semantic information from images using a deep learning framework. For the GPS-challenged environment, we propose a semantic-based dynamic adaptive Kalman filtering fusion (S-AKF) algorithm to develop vision aided GNSS and achieve stable and high-precision positioning. Experiments were carried out in GNSS-challenged environments using the open-source KITTI dataset to evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm. The results indicate that the dynamic-SLAM algorithm improved the performance of the visual localization algorithm and effectively suppressed the error spread of the visual localization algorithm. Additionally, after vision was integrated, the loosely-coupled navigation system achieved continuous high-accuracy positioning in GNSS-challenged environments.
