[Termes IGN] quasi-géoïdeRésumé : (auteur) For GPS levelling applications, it is convenient to express the height reference surface in a suitable geodetic reference system. This can be obtained through a set of levelled GPS points. Unfortunately, available data are sparse. A gravimetric geoid is often used to interpolate the height reference surface issued from GPS and levelling. Both surfaces do not coincide exactly with each other. At this point, one must compare two realisations of the geoid, detect outliers, retrieve (if possible) the causes of the discrepancies and finally combine the two kinds of data. The paper presents some practical solutions to these problems.
