[Termes IGN] zone urbaineRésumé : (auteur) The use of digital models and tools to support a more sober, sustainable and human-centred spatial planning is constantly expanding. Among those, digital models of buildings and territories are considered useful by scientists and practitioners and used for a wide range of purposes. Several labels are currently used to characterise those digital tools and models, partly reflecting on technological developments: 3D city models, Planning support systems, Smart Cities, urbanism 3.0., City Information Model (CIM), Digital Twins (DT), etc. First used in industry, the label DT is now both used by practitioners and researchers, in relation to the development of innovative city models. Nevertheless, this label remains fuzzily defined and designates heterogeneous models from a technical standpoint. In this paper, we propose an exploration of the definitions and technical contents of DT at the city scale and a comparison with CIM approaches, as CIM is also used to label similar city models. Our analysis is based on a literature review of both DT and CIM definitions and applications to the urban context, an exploratory survey conducted with 13 practitioners about their views on DT and its potential regarding urban planning and management and a comparison of a few real-world projects either labelled CIM or DT by practitioners. Our analysis leads us to pinpoint several of the remaining challenges for a DT approach to be developed at the city scale. We also shed light on potential shortcomings of future research, if based on too narrow DT definitions. [Termes IGN] TurquieRésumé : (auteur) The aim of the study is to compare four recent gradient boosting algorithms named as Gradient Boosting Machine (GBM), Categorical Boosting (CatBoost), Extreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost), and Light Gradient Boosting Machine (LightGBM) for modelling landslide susceptibility (LS). In the first step of the study, the geodatabase including landslide inventory map and landslide conditioning factors was constructed. In the second step, chi-square (CHI) statistic-based feature selection (FS) technique was utilized to compute the importance of the landslide causative factors. In the third step, tree-based ensemble learning algorithms were applied to predict the potential distribution of landslide susceptibility. Also, the prediction performance of ensemble methods was compared to that of Random Forest (RF) ensemble method. Finally, the prediction capabilities of the methods were assessed using overall accuracy (Acc), area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC), kappa index, root mean square error (RMSE), and F score measures. In order to further evaluation, the McNemar's test was utilized to assess statistical significance in the differences between the four gradient boosting models. The accuracy results indicated that the CatBoost model had the highest prediction capability (Acc= 0.8503 and AUC= 0.8975), followed by the XGBoost (Acc= 0.8336 and AUC= 0.8860), the LightGBM (Acc= 0.8244 and AUC= 0.8796) and the GBM (Acc= 0.8080 and AUC= 0.8685). On the other hand, the estimated accuracy measures considered in this study showed that the RF method had the lowest prediction capability of compared the others. Although the individual performances of the methods were found to be acceptable level, the CatBoost method showed the superior performance compared to others with respect to the AUC and Acc values estimated in this study. The results of the study confirmed that the relatively new ensemble learning techniques were efficient and robust for producing LS maps and furthermore, it is probably that these algorithms will be preferred more often in the future studies due to their robustness. [Termes IGN] régressionRésumé : (auteur) This study aims to develop three novel GIS-based models combining Genetic Algorithm (GA), Biogeography-Based Optimization (BBO) and Simulated Annealing (SA) with Support Vector Regression (SVR) for groundwater potential (GP) mapping in the governorate of Tafillah, Jordan. Twelve topographical, hydrological and geological factors were considered. The mapping process was done with and without feature selection (FS) conducted by integration of SVR model with GA, BBO and SA algorithms. The accuracy of these models was evaluated using the area under receiver operating characteristic (AUROC) curve. Comparisons among the models uncovered that the SVR-RBF-GA and SVR-RBF-BBO models performed better than the SVR-RBF-SA. The AUROC for two mentioned models were 0.964 and 0.996 in training and testing runs, respectively, while this metric was 0.953 and 0.986 for SVR-RBF-SA model in training and testing runs, respectively. The results showed that after FS, the models are more accurate in test data than train data. Few studies concentrate on positioning performance of IGS stations using different GNSS receivers under different geomagnetic storm conditions. This paper for the first time presents IF and UC PPP positioning performance of stations with different receivers during the quiet, moderate, intense, and super storms period. Firstly, a comprehensive investigation of geomagnetic storms effects on the occurrence of GPS cycle-slip and PPP positioning performance have been presented. Secondly, the influences of geomagnetic storms on the occurrence of cycle-slip and IF PPP positioning performance for stations using receivers provided by ‘JAVAD’, ‘LEICA’, and ‘TRIMBLE’ manufacturers have been comprehensively studied. [Termes IGN] filtre de GaussRésumé : (auteur) This contribution provides a comparison between the Gaussian and decorrelation filters as derived from GRACE products (RL05) estimated by the official GRACE Science Data System centres (GFZ, CSR and JPL) as well as the ITSG-GRACE2016 solutions over Egypt. The outcome of this study will help in finding out which of these centres provides improved temporal gravity solutions as well as the most promising GRACE time series over Egypt. The obtained results regarding Gaussian filters show that the GFZ centre provides the most promising solutions w.r.t. CSR and JPL. Whereas the ITSG-GRACE2016 products provide improvements, especially at Gaussian radius 200 km, of about 56%, 68% and 60% w.r.t. CSR, JPL and GFZ solutions, respectively. Regarding the decorrelation filtering, the ITSG-GRACE2016 provides the least Std. w.r.t. CSR, JPL and GFZ solutions showing for the DDK8 improvement of about 48%, 64% and 68% w.r.t. the three centres GFZ, JPL and CSR, respectively.
