[Termes IGN] semis de pointsRésumé : (auteur) The data-hungry nature of deep learning and the high cost of annotating point-level labels make it difficult to apply semantic segmentation methods to indoor point cloud scenes. Therefore, exploring how to make point cloud segmentation methods less rely on point-level labels is a promising research topic. In this paper, we introduce a weakly supervised framework for semantic segmentation on indoor point clouds. To reduce the labor cost in data annotation, we use image-level weak labels that only indicate the classes that appeared in the rendered images of point clouds. The experiments validate the effectiveness and scalability of our framework. Our segmentation results on both ScanNet and S3DIS datasets outperform the state-of-the-art method using a similar level of weak supervision. [Termes IGN] vision par ordinateurRésumé : (auteur) Key-frame selection methods were developed in the past years to reduce the complexity of frame processing in visual odometry (VO) and visual simultaneous localization and mapping (VSLAM) algorithms. Key-frames help increasing algorithm's performances by sparsifying frames while maintaining its accuracy and robustness. Unlike current selection methods that rely on many heuristic thresholds to decide which key-frame should be selected, this paper proposes a photogrammetric-based key-frame selection method built upon ORB-SLAM3. The proposed algorithm, named Photogrammetric Key-frame Selection (PKS), replaces static heuristic thresholds with photogrammetric principles, ensuring algorithm’s robustness and better point cloud quality. A key-frame is chosen based on adaptive thresholds and the Equilibrium Of Center Of Gravity (ECOG) criteria as well as Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) observations. To evaluate the proposed PKS method, the European Robotics Challenge (EuRoC) and an in-house datasets are used. Quantitative and qualitative evaluations are made by comparing trajectories, point clouds quality and completeness and Absolute Trajectory Error (ATE) in mono-inertial and stereo-inertial modes. Moreover, for the generated dense point clouds, extensive evaluations, including plane-fitting error, model deformation, model alignment error, and model density and quality, are performed. The results show that the proposed algorithm improves ORB-SLAM3 positioning accuracy by 18% in stereo-inertial mode and 20% in mono-inertial mode without the use of heuristic thresholds, as well as producing a more complete and accurate point cloud up to 50%. [Termes IGN] turbidité des eauxRésumé : (auteur) Our goal is to compare the performance of Classification and Regression Tree, Naive Bayes and Random Forest algorithms, from supervised image classification, and approaches on Pixel-Based Image analysis (PBIA) and Geographic Object-Based Image Analysis (GEOBIA), to classify turbidity in reservoirs. Tod do so, we use Landsat 8 image and bands and spectral indices, as predictive parameters, as well as the classification algorithms based on PBIA and GEOBIA. The Brazilian Itaipu reservoir was adopted, as a case study. Our results show that the RF classifier obtained the highest accuracy in both classification approaches, followed by CART and NB. The KA and OA indices of the GEOBIA classifications were superior to the PBIA classifications in both algorithms. This study contributes with an approach to quickly and accurately delineating turbidity spectral limits in reservoirs. [Termes IGN] semis de pointsRésumé : (auteur) 3D building models are an established instance of geospatial information in the built environment, but their acquisition remains complex and topical. Approaches to reconstruct 3D building models often require existing building information (e.g. their footprints) and data such as point clouds, which are scarce and laborious to acquire, limiting their expansion. In parallel, street view imagery (SVI) has been gaining currency, driven by the rapid expansion in coverage and advances in computer vision (CV), but it has not been used much for generating 3D city models. Traditional approaches that can use SVI for reconstruction require multiple images, while in practice, often only few street-level images provide an unobstructed view of a building. We develop the reconstruction of 3D building models from a single street view image using image-to-mesh reconstruction techniques modified from the CV domain. We regard three scenarios: (1) standalone single-view reconstruction; (2) reconstruction aided by a top view delineating the footprint; and (3) refinement of existing 3D models, i.e. we examine the use of SVI to enhance the level of detail of block (LoD1) models, which are common. The results suggest that trained models supporting (2) and (3) are able to reconstruct the overall geometry of a building, while the first scenario may derive the approximate mass of the building, useful to infer the urban form of cities. We evaluate the results by demonstrating their usefulness for volume estimation, with mean errors of less than 10% for the last two scenarios. As SVI is now available in most countries worldwide, including many regions that do not have existing footprint and/or 3D building data, our method can derive rapidly and cost-effectively the 3D urban form from SVI without requiring any existing building information. Obtaining 3D building models in regions that hitherto did not have any, may enable a number of 3D geospatial analyses locally for the first time. [Termes IGN] transformation en ondelettesRésumé : (auteur) The accurate identification of urban agglomeration spatial area is helpful in understanding the internal spatial relationship under urban expansion and in evaluating the development level of urban agglomeration. Previous studies on the identification of spatial areas often ignore the functional distribution and development of urban agglomerations by only using nighttime light data (NTL). In this study, a new method is firstly proposed to identify the accurate spatial area of urban agglomerations by fusing night light data (NTL) and point of interest data (POI); then an object-oriented method is used by this study to identify the spatial area, finally the identification results obtained by different data are verified. The results show that the accuracy identified by NTL data is 82.90% with the Kappa coefficient of 0.6563, the accuracy identified by POI data is 81.90% with the Kappa coefficient of 0.6441, and the accuracy after data fusion is 90.70%, with the Kappa coefficient of 0.8123. The fusion of these two kinds of data has higher accuracy in identifying the spatial area of urban agglomeration, which can play a more important role in evaluating the development level of urban agglomeration; this study proposes a feasible method and path for urban agglomeration spatial area identification, which is not only helpful to optimize the spatial structure of urban agglomeration, but also to formulate the spatial development policy of urban agglomeration.
