[Termes IGN] zone urbaineRésumé : (auteur) In this article, a new feature detection approach based on integration of LiDAR data and visible images in the form of a semi-automatic method has been proposed. In this approach, a two-step method for feature detection was developed using object-based analysis in order to increase the level of automation and level of accuracy in the detection process. The first step is providing a method for integration of two data sources for detection process by maintaining independency between image data and LiDAR altimetric data. In this step, the feature detection process is started based on image data and for detecting areas that detection properly is not done, LiDAR altimetric data is used. In the second step, a new method for detection of vegetation is implemented. Of the characteristics of this method is that there is no need to use the infrared band in the image data and also there is no need for LiDAR intensity data. The implemented method in the recent step is based on the new indices developed for detection of vegetation using three visible bands (red, green, and blue). The results of applying the method on two sample data sets show that the proposed approach and developed indices have the lowest dependency on the type and region of imaging and about each input image data includes visible bands (red, green, and blue) along with LiDAR data (that both data have a high spatial resolution), feature detection process is done with acceptable accuracy. Only thresholds depend on image data and change about different images. The changes are very small. Therefore, using the mean of these thresholds, despite may not be optimal for all image data, but generally is useful and for different images is efficient. In the case of many accessible images from Iran, the thresholds determined optimally by the trial-and-error method, the changes were very small. About the image data of Toronto and Iran which great changes were expected in the thresholds, the optimal thresholds showed very small changes. The results of this research demonstrated that the proposed method can successfully detect urban features (include vegetation, road, and building) with different shapes. Evaluation process showed that the overall accuracy, kappa coefficient, producer’s accuracy, and user’s accuracy of the proposed method about vegetation are 97%, 92%, 96%, and 94%, respectively. Also, the producer’s accuracy, user’s accuracy, and kappa coefficient about the building class are 94%, 95%, and 91%, respectively. About the road class these parameters are 95%, 89%, and 91%. [Termes IGN] utilisation du solRésumé : (auteur) Sensing urban spaces from multisource geospatial data is vital to understanding the transportation system in the urban context. However, the complexity of urban context and its indirect interaction with traffic flow deepen the difficulty of exploring their relationship. This study proposes a geo-semantic framework first to generate semantic representations of multi-hierarchical urban context and street-level traffic flow, and then investigate their mutual correlation and predictability using a novel semantic matching method. The results demonstrate that each street is associated with its multi-hierarchical spatial signatures of urban context and street-level temporal signatures of traffic flow. The correlation between urban context and traffic flow displays higher values after semantic matching than those in multi-hierarchies. Moreover, we found that utilizing traffic flow to predict urban context results in better accuracy than the reversed prediction. The results of signature analysis and relationship exploration can contribute to a deeper understanding of context-aware transportation research. [Vedettes matières IGN] Végétation et changement climatiqueRésumé : (auteur) We investigate the flux balance of managed and protected forests and the effects of using wood. Flux parameters of CO2 uptake and respiration do not differ between managed and protected forests. Accounting of harvest as immediate emission by IPCC guidelines results in a bias of forest climate mitigation towards storage and neglects the avoidance of fossil-fuel use by wood use. [Termes IGN] température au solRésumé : (auteur) Over the last two decades, urban growth has become a major issue in Lahore, accelerating land surface temperature (LST) rise. The present study focused on estimating the current situation and simulating the future LST patterns in Lahore using remote sensing data and machine learning models. The semi-automated classification model was applied for the estimation of LST from 2000 to 2020. Then, the cellular automata-artificial neural networks (CA-ANN) module was implemented to predict future LST patterns for 2030 and 2040, respectively. Our research findings revealed that an average of 2.8 °C of land surface temperature has increased, with a mean LST value from 37.25 °C to 40.10 °C in Lahore during the last two decades from 2000 to 2020. Moreover, keeping CA-ANN simulations for land surface temperature, an increase of 2.2 °C is projected through 2040, and mean LST values will be increased from 40.1 °C to 42.31 °C by 2040. The CA-ANN model was validated for future LST simulation with an overall Kappa value of 0.82 and 86.2% of correctness for the years 2030 and 2040 using modules for land-use change evaluation. The study also indicates that land surface temperature is an important factor in environmental changes. Therefore, it is suggested that future urban planning should focus on urban rooftop plantations and vegetation conservation to minimize land surface temperature increases in Lahore. [Termes IGN] zone urbaineRésumé : (auteur) Dynamics of ecosystem service value (ESV) of various wetlands has been assessed by researchers globally. But the impact of spatio-temporal variation of landscape metrics on ESV in the lower Gangetic plains has not been examined, fully. The present work has established linkages between landscape metrics and ESV in Kolkata urban agglomeration using support vector machine and multivariate regression analysis. Result indicates that wetland area has been reduced by 5.26%, 13.67% and 9.03% during the periods 1990–2000, 2000–2010 and 2010–2020, respectively and the ESV contributed by wetlands has been decreased by $131428, $323674 and $184649, respectively during the same period at an annual rate of 0.85%. Number of patches, mean patch area and edge density are the main determinants of wetland fragmentation and decreased by 44.12%, 10.23% and 8.65%, respectively during the last three decades. A wetland restoration strategy based on dynamic restoration, reactive restoration and wetland creation for the study area has been formulated, which can guide for sustainable management of wetland resources in Kolkata urban agglomeration.
