[Termes IGN] zone urbaineRésumé : (auteur) Crowdsourcing is one of the spatial data sources, but due to its unstructured form, the quality of noisy crowd judgments is a challenge. In this study, we address the problem of detecting and removing crowdsourced data bias as a prerequisite for better-quality open-data output. This study aims to find the most robust data quality assurance system (QAs). To achieve this goal, we design logic-based QAs variants and test them on the air quality crowdsourcing database. By extending the paradigm of urban air pollution monitoring from particulate matter concentration levels to air-quality-related health symptom load, the study also builds a new perspective for citizen science (CS) air quality monitoring. The method includes the geospatial web (GeoWeb) platform as well as a QAs based on conditional statements. A four-month crowdsourcing campaign resulted in 1823 outdoor reports, with a rejection rate of up to 28%, depending on the applied. The focus of this study was not on digital sensors’ validation but on eliminating logically inconsistent surveys and technologically incorrect objects. As the QAs effectiveness may depend on the location and society structure, that opens up new cross-border opportunities for replication of the research in other geographical conditions. [Vedettes matières IGN] Traitement de données GNSSRésumé : (auteur) The cycle slip detection and repair are crucial steps in the preprocessing of GNSS carrier phase observation. Currently, however, there are few cycle slip detection and repair methods that can meet the data processing needs for diverse situations. To solve this problem, a highly adaptable cycle slip detection and repair method is proposed. First, a cycle slip detection equation is established using the pseudo-range and carrier double-differenced (DD) observations; the state equation is developed based on the satellite-ground distance. Then, a Kalman filter estimation model is established by joining the two equations. Subsequently, the cycle slip can be detected and repaired. Finally, the state parameters are refined in accordance with the conditional distribution. According to the results of the example, all the simulated cycle slips are detected and repaired by the method proposed. It shows that the method can meet the data processing needs for multiple situations. [Termes IGN] teneur intégrée en vapeur d'eauRésumé : (auteur) A ground-based network of more than 1200 Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) Continuously Operating Reference Stations (CORS) was analysed using GIPSY-OASIS II software package for the documentation of time and space variations of water vapor in atmosphere during the North Atlantic Waveguide and Downstream impact EXperiment (NAWDEX) during fall 2016. The network extends throughout the North Atlantic, from the Caribbeans to Morocco through Greenland. This paper presents the methodology used for GNSS data processing, screening, and conversion of Zenith Tropospheric Delay (ZTD) estimates to Integrated Water Vapor content (IWV) using surface parameters from reanalysis. The retrieved IWV are used to evaluate the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) reanalyses ERAI and ERA5. ERA5 shows an overall improvement over ERAI in representing the spatial and temporal variability of IWV over the study area. The mean bias is decreased from 0.31±0.63 to 0.19±0.56 kg m−2 (mean ±1σ over all stations) and the standard deviation reduced from 2.17±0.67 to 1.64±0.53 kg m−2 combined with a slight improvement in correlation coefficient from 0.95 to 0.97. At regional scale, both reanalyses show a general wet bias at mid and northern latitudes but a dry bias in the Caribbeans. We hypothesize this results from the different nature of data being assimilated over the tropical oceans. This GNSS IWV data set is intended to be used for a better description of the high impact weather events that occurred during the NAWDEX experiment. [Termes IGN] série temporelleRésumé : (auteur) This article investigates the presence of a new interferometric signal in multilooked synthetic aperture radar (SAR) interferograms that cannot be attributed to the atmospheric or Earth-surface topography changes. The observed signal is short-lived and decays with the temporal baseline; however, it is distinct from the stochastic noise attributed to temporal decorrelation. The presence of such a fading signal introduces a systematic phase component, particularly in short temporal baseline interferograms. If unattended, it biases the estimation of Earth surface deformation from SAR time series. Here, the contribution of the mentioned phase component is quantitatively assessed. The biasing impact on the deformation-signal retrieval is further evaluated. A quality measure is introduced to allow the prediction of the associated error with the fading signals. Moreover, a practical solution for the mitigation of this physical signal is discussed; special attention is paid to the efficient processing of Big Data from modern SAR missions such as Sentinel-1 and NISAR. Adopting the proposed solution, the deformation bias is shown to decrease significantly. Based on these analyses, we put forward our recommendations for efficient and accurate deformation-signal retrieval from large stacks of multilooked interferograms.
