[Termes IGN] traitement du langage naturelRésumé : (Auteur) Considerable amounts of geographical data are still collected not in form of GIS data but just as natural language texts. This paper proposes an approach for the automatic geocoding of itineraries described in natural language. This approach needs as an input a text annotated with part-of-speech and geo-semantic tags. The proposed method is divided into three main steps. First, we build a complete graph where vertices represent locations, and all vertices are connected to each other by undirected edges. We assign a weight to all the edges of the complete graph using a multi-criteria analysis approach. Then we compute a minimum spanning tree to obtain an undirected acyclic graph connecting all vertices. And finally, we transform this graph into a partially directed acyclic graph in order to identify the sequence of waypoints and build an approximation of a plausible footprint of the itinerary described. Additionally, the rationale of the proposed approach has been verified with a set of experiments on a corpus of hiking descriptions. [Termes IGN] semis de pointsRésumé : (auteur) In many geodetic engineering applications it is necessary to solve the problem of describing a measured data point cloud, measured, e. g. by laser scanner, by means of free-form curves or surfaces, e. g., with B-Splines as basis functions. The state of the art approaches to determine B-Splines yields results which are seriously manipulated by the occurrence of data gaps and outliers.
Optimal and robust B-Spline fitting depend, however, on optimal selection of the knot vector. Hence we combine in our approach Monte-Carlo methods and the location and curvature of the measured data in order to determine the knot vector of the B-Spline in such a way that no oscillating effects at the edges of data gaps occur. We introduce an optimized approach based on computed weights by means of resampling techniques. In order to minimize the effect of outliers, we apply robust M-estimators for the estimation of control points.

In addition the author proposes parameters of approximating function by assuming an existence of periodic, annually repeatable trend. [Termes IGN] résiduRésumé : (Auteur) A generalized likelihood ratio test (GLRT) statistic for spectral change detection based on the linear chromodynamics model is extended to accommodate unknown residual misregistration between imagery described by a prior probability density function for the spatial misregistration. Using a normal prior distribution leads to a fourth-order polynomial that can be numerically minimized over the unknown misregistration parameters. A more computationally efficient closed-form solution is developed based on a quadratic approximation and provides comparable results to the numerical minimization for the investigated test cases while running 30 times faster. The results applying the method to hyperspectral imagery indicate up to an order of magnitude reduction in false alarms at the same detection rate relative to baseline change detection methods for synthetically misregistered test data particularly in image regions containing edges and fine spatial features. Sensitivity to model parameters is assessed, and the method is compared with a previously published misregistration compensation approach yielding comparable results. Although the GLRT approach appears to exhibit comparable change detection performance, it offers the possibility of tailoring the algorithm to a priori knowledge of expected misregistration errors or to compensate structured misregistration as would occur due to parallax errors due to perspective variations (e.g., image parallax).
