The traditional feature extraction method has slow speed and low efficiency and only achieves the boundary feature points. Hence, the point cloud feature regularization is proposed to obtain the boundary lines based on the fast extraction of feature points in this article. First, an improved $k$ - $d$ tree method is used to search the $k$ neighbors of sampling point. Then, the sampling point and its $k$ neighbors are used as the reference points set to fit a microcut plane and project to the plane. The local coordinate system is established on the microcut plane to convert 3-D into 2-D. The boundary feature points are identified by judging criterion of field force and then are sorted and connected according to the vector deflected angle and distance. Finally, the boundary lines are smoothed by the improved cubic B-spline fitting method. Experiments show that the proposed method can extract the boundary feature points quickly and efficiently, and the mean error of boundary lines is 0.0674 mm and the standard deviation is 0.0346 mm, which has high precision. This proposed method was also successfully applied to feature extraction and boundary fitting of Xinyi teaching building of the Wuhan University of Technology. [Termes IGN] trajectoire (véhicule non spatial)Résumé : (auteur) A positioning approach combining satellite measurements with a map representing the ground-truth trajectory is developed with the main objective of improving the availability of solutions for a mobile vehicle. For the positioning model, the Precise Point Positioning (PPP) technique is augmented with an alternative map-matching to find a probable space where the true vehicle or platform position is located. Then, by using a selection criterion based on the precise carrier phase residuals, the best candidate position within the space can be determined. This process provides an accurate initial position to the PPP filter, different from the standard PPP approach that relies on a point position using the less accurate pseudorange observables. A controlled experiment of a mobile receiver navigating over a pre-defined trajectory was conducted. The results show that the approach offers an instantaneous initial convergence, eliminating the re-convergences during two GNSS obstructions of 32 and 17 seconds, while constantly keeping the solution on the correct trajectory, even when tracking 3 to 2 satellites. This approach outperforms the standard PPP and RTK solutions in terms of convergences and re-convergences. These results are corroborated when comparing the average and standard deviation of residuals to the standard PPP model. For the pseudorange residuals, improvements of 17.5 cm and 24.3 cm in the average and standard deviation respectively were achieved. The carrier phase residuals standard deviation of the proposed approach was 3 cm better than that of the standard PPP. [Termes IGN] voisinage (relation topologique)Résumé : (auteur) Building pattern recognition is fundamental to a wide range of downstream applications, such as urban landscape evaluation, social analyses, and map generalization. Although many studies have been conducted, there is still a lack of satisfactory results, due to the imprecision of the relative direction model of any two adjacent buildings and the ineffective extraction methods. This study aims to provide an alternative for quantifying the direction and the spatial continuity of any two buildings on the basis of the Delaunay triangulation for the recognition of linear building patterns. First, constrained Delaunay triangulations (CDTs) are created for all buildings within each block and every two adjacent buildings. Then, the spatial continuity index (SCI), the direction index (DI), and other spatial relations (e.g., distance) of every two adjacent buildings are derived using the CDT. Finally, the building block is modelled as a graph based on derived matrices, and a graph segmentation approach is proposed to extract linear building patterns. In the segmentation process, the edges of the graph are removed first, according to the global thresholds of the SCI and distance, and are subsequently subdivided into subgraphs on direction rules. The proposed method is tested using three datasets. The experimental results suggest that the proposed method can recognize both collinear and curvilinear building patterns, given that the correctness values are all above 92% for the three study areas. The results also demonstrate that the novel SCI can effectively filter many insignificant neighbor relationships in the graph segmentation process. It is noteworthy that the proposed DI is capable of measuring building relative directions accurately and works efficiently in linear building pattern extraction. However, most of the existing representations suffer from high computational cost and structure information loss. This paper presents a novel sequential slice representation with an attention-embedding network, named RSSNet, for 3D point cloud recognition and retrieval in road environments. RSSNet has two main branches. Firstly, a sequential slice module is designed to map disordered 3D point clouds to ordered sequence of shallow feature vectors. A gated recurrent unit (GRU) module is applied to encode the spatial and content information of these sequential vectors. The second branch consists of a key-point based graph convolution network (GCN) with an embedding attention strategy to fuse the sequential and global features to refine the structure discriminability. Three datasets were used to evaluate the proposed method, one acquired by our mobile laser scanning (MLS) system and two public datasets (KITTI and Sydney Urban Objects). Experimental results indicated that the proposed method achieved better performance than recognition and retrieval state-of-the-art methods. RSSNet provided recognition rates of 98.08%, 95.77% and 70.83% for the above three datasets, respectively. For the retrieval task, RSSNet obtained excellent mAP values of 95.56%, 87.16% and 69.99% on three datasets, respectively.
