[Termes IGN] SlovénieRésumé : (auteur) The paper presents a method for mapping fluvial gravel bars based on Sentinel-2 and Landsat imagery. The proposed method therefore uses spectral signal mixture analysis (SSMA) because its results allow the development of land cover fraction maps for surface water, gravel, and vegetation. The method is validated on a spatially heterogeneous mountainous area in the upper Soča river basin in north-west Slovenia, Central Europe. Unmixing results in highly accurate fraction maps with MAE of around 0.1. Gravel fractions are mapped the most accurately, indicating that the approach can be used successfully for fluvial gravel bar mapping. Endmember sets selected automatically perform slightly worse (MAE higher by at most 0.05) than sets selected manually based on high resolution reference data. Both Sentinel-2 and Landsat imagery can be used for accurate mapping with differences between the two remote sensing systems within 0.05 MAE. For the study area, the SSMA-based soft classification method is more accurate for land cover mapping than a Spectral Angle Mapping-based hard classification. The method is promising for an effective use in other cases where highly accurate subpixel information is needed, because it is able to detect small-scale changes that could go unnoticed with hard classification mapping. In an ideal scenario, the user has the feeling that real and virtual objects coexist in the same space and is unable to differentiate the types of objects from each other. To achieve this goal, research on rendering techniques have been conducted in recent years. In this paper, we present a Systematic Literature Review aiming to identify the main characteristics concerning photorealism in Mixed and Augmented Reality systems to find research opportunities that can be further exploited or optimized. The objective is to verify if exists a definition of photorealism in Mixed and Augmented Reality. We present a theoreticalfundamental over the most used methods concerning realism in Computer Graphics. [Termes IGN] surface imperméableRésumé : (Auteur) Urban spectral indices have made promising improvements in the last two decades in urban land use land cover studies through mapping, estimation, change detection, time-series analyzing, urban dynamics, monitoring, modeling, and so on. Remote sensing spectral indices are unsupervised, unbiased, rapid, scalable, and quantitative in information extraction. Hence, we aimed to summarize the most relevant urban spectral indices by focusing on multispectral, thermal, and nighttime lights indices. We use the search terms "urban index", "built-up index", "normalized difference built-up area (NDBI )", "impervious surface index", and "spectral urban index" to collect relevant literature from the "Web of Science Core Collection" database. We found that all urban spectral indices developed since 2003, except NDBI. This review will help understand the applications of urban spectral indices, the selection of indices based on available spectral bands, and their merits and demerits. [Termes IGN] rapport signal sur bruitRésumé : (auteur) Wealthy spectral information provided by hyperspectral image (HSI) offers great benefits for many applications in hyperspectral data exploitation. However, processing such high-dimensional data volumes that may result in redundant bands due to its high interband correlation will be a challenge. For target detection and classification, this is particularly true since there may only need a relatively small number of bands that respond one particular target of interest well, while most of other bands do not. Band selection (BS) is a major dimensionality reduction technique to remove the redundant bands and selects a few bands to represent the entire image. However, how to eliminate the effect of uninteresting targets with similar spectra on detection of interesting targets is a severe issue arising in target detection for BS. This article develops a new approach called target-constrained interference-minimized BS (TCIMBS) which can be used to select band subset for specific target detection, while annihilating targets of no interest and suppressing interferers and background. Its idea is derived from target-constrained interference-minimized filter (TCIMF). By taking advantage of TCIMF, two band prioritization (BP) criteria called forward minimum variance BP (FMinV-BP) and backward maximum variance BP (BMaxV-BP) along with their three band search-based BS counterparts called sequential forward TCIMBS (SF-TCIMBS), sequential backward TCIMBS (SB-TCIMBS), and improved SB-TCIMBS (SB-TCIMBS*) are derived. The experimental results suggest that TCIMBS can improve the detection accuracy and also achieve better performance in comparison with several state-of-the-art methods. [Termes IGN] vapeur d'eauRésumé : (auteur) Precipitable water vapor (PWV) can be assimilated into a numerical weather model (NWM) to improve the prediction accuracy of numerical weather prediction. In this study, taking GNSS data for the Beijing Fangshan station (BJFS) as an example, based on the method of Pearson correlation coefficient combined with quantitative analysis, GNSS datasets are used to study the relationships between GNSS-derived PWV (GNSS PWV_Met) and its influencing factors, including the internal influencing factors zenith troposphere delay (ZTD), zenith hydrostatic delay (ZHD), zenith wet delay (ZWD), and surface temperature (Ts), and the external influencing factor haze (mainly PM2.5). Firstly, based on the strong correlation between PWV_Met and ZTD hourly sequences from the International GNSS Service Network’s BJFS station for DOYS 182–212, 2015, the results of experiment prove that the reliability of GNSS ZTD is used to forecast PWV_Met in short-term forecasting. Secondly, based on hourly data of BJFS in 2016, the correlation between PWV_Met and ZTD, ZWD, ZHD, pressure (P) and Ts is analyzed, and then, with the rate of ZTD variation as the main factor, ZTD variation as auxiliary factor, the prediction success rate is 88.24% from hourly data of precipitation event for DOYs 183–213 in Beijing. The experiment indicates that ZTD can help forecast short-term precipitation. Thirdly, based on data from three hazy periods with relatively stable weather conditions, no heavy rainfall, and relatively continuous data in the past three years, the correlation between GNSS PWV_Met/ZTD and PM2.5 hourly series is analyzed. The results of the experiments suggests that GNSS ZTD should be considered to assist in haze monitoring. So in the absence of radiosonde stations and meteorological elements, ZTDs on retrieval of GNSS stations have more application value in short-term forecast.
