[Termes IGN] récepteur GPSRésumé : (Auteur) [Introduction] The rapid growth of the wireless telecommunication sector and, consequently, the high demand of spectrum assigned to the new services make the frequency spectrum very crowded and quite saturated. With the weak received signal power of GNSS signals, spurious harmonics from other systems can cause unintentional interference and, therefore, a serious problem to the reliable estimation of user position, velocity and time (PVT). Besides unintentional interference, more virulent intentionally radiated signals, called jammers, may knock out the GNSS receiver; this is especially the case when a jammer with high time-frequency dynamics (such as a chirp-like jammer) affects the GNSS signal spectrum. Whether unintentional or intentional, interference represents a serious threat to GNSS in applications ranging from safety-of-life to critical sectors like law enforcement, transportation, communication and finance. In such critical applications, it is important that the GNSS receiver provides a minimum level of reliability and robustness, even at the cost of increased price and complexity. To meet this need, some manufacturers and research institutions have been developing GNSS receivers equipped with anti-jamming capabilities. [Termes IGN] zone urbaineRésumé : (auteur) In urban areas, material maps, i.e. knowledge concerning the roofing materials or the different kinds of ground areas, are necessary for several city modeling or monitoring applications. Airborne remote sensing techniques appear to be convenient for providing them at a large scale but require an enhanced imagery spectral resolution. A superspectral sensor with a limited number of bands dedicated to urban materials classification could be a solution. Within this context, this study focused on the optimization of this band subset from hyperspectral data, considering both the position of the bands and their width. The used approach first builds a hierarchy of groups of adjacent bands, according to a relevance criterion to decide which adjacent bands must be merged. Then, band selection is performed at the different levels of this hierarchy. Several band configurations are thus explored within this hierarchy. This method was applied to a data set consisting of spectra generated from reflectance spectral signatures of 9 common urban materials collected from 7 spectral libraries. At the end, the potential of a superspectral sensor with wider bands was confirmed. En effet, lorsque des satellites comme le Global Precipitation Measurement (GPM) effectuent des observations des nuages et précipitations, les mesures sont aussi influencées par la réponse de la surface terrestre. Pour aider à séparer la contribution de la surface et de l’atmosphère dans les mesures du satellite en micro-ondes, notre étude va analyser les réponses micro-ondes des surfaces en mode actif et passif (radar et radiomètre). L’étude suivante va chercher à donner une estimation de l’émissivité et du coefficient de rétro-diffusion à différentes fréquences pour chaque type de surface terrestre. La première étape réalisée est l’analyse d’une base de données d’émissivité (mode passif) et de coefficient de rétro-diffusion (mode actif) disponible sur une année entière et pour toutes les surfaces continentales en fonction de la végétation et de la neige. Ensuite deux classifications différentes ont été réalisées grâce aux méthodes de classification de Kohonen, aussi appelée cartes auto-adaptatives. Premièrement une classification ne prenant pas en compte les zones enneigées et deuxièmement une classification des zones enneigées. Ces classifications seront fournies à la NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) pour leur permettre de faciliter l’estimation des précipitations en leur donnant une estimation de la réponse de la surface terrestre dans les différentes bandes passives et actives étudiées. [Termes IGN] variabilitéIndex. décimale : THESE Thèses et HDR Résumé : (auteur) Acquired in hundreds of contiguous spectral bands, hyperspectral (HS) images have received an increasing interest due to the significant spectral information they convey about the materials present in a given scene. However, the limited spatial resolution of hyperspectral sensors implies that the observations are mixtures of multiple signatures corresponding to distinct materials. Hyperspectral unmixing is aimed at identifying the reference spectral signatures composing the data – referred to as endmembers – and their relative proportion in each pixel according to a predefined mixture model. In this context, a given material is commonly assumed to be represented by a single spectral signature. This assumption shows a first limitation, since endmembers may vary locally within a single image, or from an image to another due to varying acquisition conditions, such as declivity and possibly complex interactions between the incident light and the observed materials. Unless properly accounted for, spectral variability can have a significant impact on the shape
and the amplitude of the acquired signatures, thus inducing possibly significant estimation errors during the unmixing process. A second limitation results from the significant size of HS data, which may preclude the use of batch estimation procedures commonly used in the literature, i.e., techniques exploiting all the available data at once. Such computational considerations notably become prominent to characterize endmember variability in multi-temporal HS (MTHS) images, i.e., sequences of HS images acquired over the same area at different time instants. The main objective of this thesis consists in introducing new models and unmixing procedures to account for spatial and temporal endmember variability. Endmember variability is addressed by considering an explicit variability model reminiscent of the total least squares problem, and later extended to account for time-varying signatures. The variability is first estimated using an unsupervised deterministic optimization procedure based on the Alternating Direction Method of Multipliers (ADMM). Given the sensitivity of this approach to abrupt spectral variations, a robust model formulated within a Bayesian framework is introduced. This formulation enables smooth spectral variations to be described in terms of spectral variability, and abrupt changes in terms of outliers. Finally, the computational restrictions induced by the size of the data is tackled by an online estimation algorithm. This work further investigates an asynchronous distributed estimation procedure to estimate the parameters of the proposed models.Note de contenu : Introduction
