[Termes IGN] température au solRésumé : (Auteur) Prediction of spatial attributes has attracted significant research interest in recent years. It is challenging especially when spatial data contain errors and missing values. Geostatistical estimators are used to predict the missing attribute values from the observed values of known surrounding data points, a general form of which is referred as kriging in the field of geographic information system and remote sensing. The proposed semantic kriging (SemK) tries to blend the semantics of spatial features (of surrounding data points) with ordinary kriging (OK) method for prediction of the attribute. Experimentation has been carried out with land surface temperature data of four major metropolitan cities in India. It shows that SemK outperforms the OK and most of the existing spatial interpolation methods. Regular monitoring of a large number of Himalayan glaciers is important for improving our knowledge of glacier response to climate change. In the present study, Survey of India topographical maps (1966) and Landsat datasets as ETM+ (2000, 2006) and TM (2011) have been used to study glacier fluctuations in Tirungkhad basin. A deglaciation of 26.1% (29.1 km2) in terms of area from 1966 to 2011 was observed. [Termes IGN] zone à risqueRésumé : (Auteur) The Likelihood Ratio (LR) Model has been applied as an improvement upon the Frequency Ratio (FR) that computes the ratio of the percentage of the landslide pixels to the percentage of the non-landslide pixels instead of the total number of pixels used in the denominator as in case of the FR. The comparative assessment of the two techniques is made through spatial modelling of GIS vector data using the ArcGIS software. Two different Landslide Information Values were computed for each polygon element of the study area employing the two FR techniques that categorized the study area into five classes of vulnerability using natural breaks (Jenks) technique. Subsequently, vulnerability zonation maps were prepared showing the different levels of landslide vulnerability. The LR technique yielded significantly higher vulnerability assessment accuracy (77%) as compared to the standard FR (71%). [Termes IGN] utilisation du solRésumé : (Auteur) An attempt has been made to explore and evaluate the Cellular Automata (CA) Markov modelling to monitor and predict the future land use and land cover (LULC) scenario in a part of Brahmaputra River basin using LULC maps derived from multi-temporal satellite images. CA Markov is a combined cellular automata/Markov chain/multi-criteria/multi-objective land allocation (MOLA) LULC prediction procedure that adds an element of spatial contiguity as well as knowledge base of the likely spatial distribution of transitions to Markov chain analysis. Evidence likelihood map was used for as knowledge base of the likely spatial procedure in CA Markov model. The predicting quantity and predicting location change have been analysed and statistically evaluated. The validation statistics indicated how well the comparison map agreed and disagreed with the reference map. Predicted results accuracy is slightly higher when compare to others studies of LULC change using CA Markov approaches. [Termes IGN] méthode des moindres carrésRésumé : (Auteur) This paper presents an approach to automated identification of slum area change patterns in Hyderabad, India, using multi-year and multi-sensor very high resolution satellite imagery. It relies upon a lacunarity-based slum detection algorithm, combined with Canny- and LSD-based imagery pre-processing routines. This method outputs plausible and spatially explicit slum locations for the whole urban agglomeration of Hyderabad in years 2003 and 2010. The results indicate a considerable growth of area occupied by slums between these years and allow identification of trends in slum development in this urban agglomeration.
