[Vedettes matières IGN] GénéralisationRésumé : (auteur) Collapse is a common cartographic generalization operation in multi-scale representation and cascade updating of vector spatial data. During transformation from large- to small-scale, the dual-line river shows progressive collapse from narrow river segment to line. The demand for vector spatial data with various scales is increasing; however, research on the progressive collapse of dual-line rivers is lacking. Therefore, we proposed a progressive collapse method based on vector spatial data. First, based on the skeleton graph of the dual-line river, the narrow and normal river segments are preliminarily segmented by calculating the width of the river. Second, combined with the rules of cartographic generalization, the collapse and exaggeration priority strategies are formulated to determine the handling mode of the river segment. Finally, based on the two strategies, progressive collapse of dual-line rivers is realized by collapse and exaggeration of the river segment. Experimental results demonstrated that the progressive collapse results of the proposed method were scale-driven, and the collapse part had no burr and topology problems, whereas the remaining part was clearly visible. The proposed method can be better applied to progressive collapse of the dual-line river through qualitative and quantitative evaluation with another progressive collapse method. [Termes IGN] semis de pointsRésumé : (auteur) While three-dimensional (3D) building models play an increasingly pivotal role in many real-world applications, obtaining a compact representation of buildings remains an open problem. In this paper, we present a novel framework for reconstructing compact, watertight, polygonal building models from point clouds. Our framework comprises three components: (a) a cell complex is generated via adaptive space partitioning that provides a polyhedral embedding as the candidate set; (b) an implicit field is learned by a deep neural network that facilitates building occupancy estimation; (c) a Markov random field is formulated to extract the outer surface of a building via combinatorial optimization. We evaluate and compare our method with state-of-the-art methods in generic reconstruction, model-based reconstruction, geometry simplification, and primitive assembly. Experiments on both synthetic and real-world point clouds have demonstrated that, with our neural-guided strategy, high-quality building models can be obtained with significant advantages in fidelity, compactness, and computational efficiency. Our method also shows robustness to noise and insufficient measurements, and it can directly generalize from synthetic scans to real-world measurements. VGI exchange, reuse, and integration are serious challenges due to the subjective contribution process, lack of organization, and redundancy. This study aims to enhance the quality of VGI semantic data by presenting a new approach to integrating and formalizing the VGI semantic knowledge using formal concept analysis. The proposed approach is assessed using the building tags in OpenStreetMap (OSM) and CityGML. The alignment process discovers the conceptual overlap between the categories of Amenity (Others), Office, and Man-Made in Map Features (OSM) and Business and Trade, Recreation, Sport, and Industry in AbstractBuilding (CityGML). The k-means clustering of the results illustrated that class, usage/function, address, wheelchair, and website/wikidata/wikipedia are significant attributes to describe building categories. Moreover, results showed that the analysis of frequent itemsets and cluster characteristics provides significant information about custom tags in OSM's editing tools. However, the complexity of urban context and its indirect interaction with traffic flow deepen the difficulty of exploring their relationship. This study proposes a geo-semantic framework first to generate semantic representations of multi-hierarchical urban context and street-level traffic flow, and then investigate their mutual correlation and predictability using a novel semantic matching method. The results demonstrate that each street is associated with its multi-hierarchical spatial signatures of urban context and street-level temporal signatures of traffic flow. The correlation between urban context and traffic flow displays higher values after semantic matching than those in multi-hierarchies. Moreover, we found that utilizing traffic flow to predict urban context results in better accuracy than the reversed prediction. The results of signature analysis and relationship exploration can contribute to a deeper understanding of context-aware transportation research.
