[Termes IGN] théorème de BayesRésumé : (auteur) The Himalayan region and hilly areas face severe challenges due to landslide occurrences during the rainy seasons in India, and the study area, i.e., the Rudraprayag district, is no exception. However, the landslide related database and research are still inadequate in these landslide-prone areas. The main purpose of this study is: (1) to prepare the multi-temporal landslide inventory map using geospatial platforms in the data-scarce environment; (2) to evaluate the landslide susceptibility map using weights of evidence (WoE) method in the Geographical Information System (GIS) environment at the district level; and (3) to provide a comprehensive understanding of recent developments, gaps, and future directions related to landslide inventory, susceptibility mapping, and risk assessment in the Indian context. Firstly, 293 landslides polygon were manually digitized using the BHUVAN (Indian earth observation visualization) and Google Earth® from 2011 to 2013. Secondly, a total of 14 landslide causative factors viz. geology, geomorphology, soil type, soil depth, slope angle, slope aspect, relative relief, distance to faults, distance to thrusts, distance to lineaments, distance to streams, distance to roads, land use/cover, and altitude zones were selected based on the previous study. Then, the WoE method was applied to assign the weights for each class of causative factors to obtain a landslide susceptibility map. Afterward, the final landslide susceptibility map was divided into five susceptibility classes (very high, high, medium, low, and very low classes). Later, the validation of the landslide susceptibility map was checked against randomly selected landslides using IDRISI SELVA 17.0 software. Our study results show that medium to very high landslide susceptibilities had occurred in the non-forest areas, mainly scrubland, pastureland, and barren land. The results show that medium to very high landslide susceptibilities areas are in the upper catchment areas of the Mandakini river and adjacent to the National Highways (107 and 07). The results also show that landslide susceptibility is high in high relative relief areas and shallow soil, near thrusts and faults, and on southeast, south, and west-facing steep slopes. The WoE method achieved a prediction accuracy of 85.7%, indicating good accuracy of the model. Thus, this landslide susceptibility map could help the local governments in landslide hazard mitigation, land use planning, and landscape protection. The network extends throughout the North Atlantic, from the Caribbeans to Morocco through Greenland. This paper presents the methodology used for GNSS data processing, screening, and conversion of Zenith Tropospheric Delay (ZTD) estimates to Integrated Water Vapor content (IWV) using surface parameters from reanalysis. The retrieved IWV are used to evaluate the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) reanalyses ERAI and ERA5. ERA5 shows an overall improvement over ERAI in representing the spatial and temporal variability of IWV over the study area. The mean bias is decreased from 0.31±0.63 to 0.19±0.56 kg m−2 (mean ±1σ over all stations) and the standard deviation reduced from 2.17±0.67 to 1.64±0.53 kg m−2 combined with a slight improvement in correlation coefficient from 0.95 to 0.97. At regional scale, both reanalyses show a general wet bias at mid and northern latitudes but a dry bias in the Caribbeans. We hypothesize this results from the different nature of data being assimilated over the tropical oceans. This GNSS IWV data set is intended to be used for a better description of the high impact weather events that occurred during the NAWDEX experiment. [Termes IGN] TurquieRésumé : (Auteur) Protected areas (PAs) are essential for ensuring the sustainability of biodiversity and protecting human lives. Efficient and sustainable protection require cooperation of all stakeholders and anticipate the coherence of conservation aims and human use. PAs can limit the human activities and land use alternatives significantly. Participatory planning and monitoring can help to achieve the protection goals and 3D GIS can serve as the base platform for planning. This study investigates the potential of 3D GIS with high-resolution datasets for accurate definition of PA boundaries and demonstrates a case study in Cesme Peninsula, Turkey. The PA boundaries have been examined with respect to the property ownership boundaries and buildings using the 3D city model of Cesme. A conceptual approach for the determination of PA boundaries is proposed. The results show that 3D GIS can support the ecosystem conservation efforts while observing the interests of all stakeholders at the same time. [Termes IGN] traitement de données localiséesRésumé : (auteur) The availability of 3D Geospatial information is a key issue for many expanding sectors such as autonomous vehicles, business intelligence and urban planning. Its production is now possible thanks to the abundance of available data (Earth observation satellite constellations, insitu data, …) but manual interventions are still needed to guarantee a high level of quality, which prevents mass production. New artificial intelligence and big data technologies adapted to 3D imagery can help to remove these obstacles. The AI4GEO project aims at developing an automatic solution for producing 3D geospatial information and new added-value services. This paper will first introduce AI4GEO initiative, context and overall objectives. It will then present the current status of the project and in particular it will focus on the innovative platform put in place to handle big 3D datasets for analytics needs and it will present the first results of 3D semantic segmentations and associated perspectives. [Vedettes matières IGN] GénéralisationRésumé : (auteur) L’Alpe d’Huez is a ski resort in the French Alps, and it is also famous among cyclists for the number of bends in the road to the ski resort. It is a good location to evaluate the capabilities of map generalisation tools, as the surroundings contain urban, rural and mountainous areas, and it was chosen 15 years ago as one of the four datasets to benchmark map generalisation software (Stoter et al., 2009). The EuroSDR benchmark used data from IGN France, the French National Mapping Agency (NMA). At that time, open science policies were not popular in NMAs, but now they release their dataset with open licenses, so it is a good opportunity to create an open benchmark for topographic map generalisation.
