[Termes IGN] théorie de Dempster-ShaferRésumé : (auteur) Lidar technology has been widely used in both robotics and geomatics for environment perception and mapping. Moving object detection is important in both fields as it is a fundamental step for collision avoidance, static background extraction, moving pattern analysis, etc. A simple method involves checking directly the distance between nearest points from the compared datasets. However, large distances may be obtained when two datasets have different coverages. The use of occupancy grids is a popular approach to overcome this problem. There are two common theories employed to model occupancy and to interpret the measurements, DempsterShafer theory and probability. This paper presents a comparative study of these two theories for occupancy modelling with the aim of moving object detection from lidar point clouds. Occupancy is modelled using both approaches and their implementations are explained and compared in details. Two lidar datasets are tested to illustrate the moving object detection results Numéro de notice : A2017-913 Affiliation des auteurs : LASTIG MATIS+Ext (2012-2019) Thématique : IMAGERIE Nature : Article nature-HAL : ArtAvecCL-RevueIntern DOI : 10.5194/isprs-annals-IV-2-W4-171-2017 En ligne : https://doi.org/10.5194/isprs-annals-IV-2-W4-171-2017 Format de la ressource électronique : URL article Permalink : https://documentation.ensg.eu/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=102874

[Termes IGN] zone d'intérêtRésumé : (Auteur) Space-time prisms envelop all spatio-temporal locations that moving objects may have visited between two of their known spatio-temporal locations, given a bound on their travel speed. In this context, the known locations are often the result of observations or measurements, and they are called ‘anchor points’. The classic space-time prism, in isotropic two-dimensional space, as well as in transportation networks, assumes that the measurements of these anchor points are exact. Whereas, in many applications, we can assume that time can be measured fairly precisely, this assumption is unrealistic for the spatial components of measured locations (we think of Global Positioning System (GPS) errors, for instance). In this paper, we extend the classical prism from anchor points to circular ‘anchor regions’ that capture the uncertainty or error on their measurement. We define the notion of a space-time prism with uncertain anchor points, called uncertain prism, for short. We study the geometry of uncertain prisms in an arbitrary metric space to make this concept as widely applicable as possible. We also focus on the rims of uncertain space-time prisms, which demarcate the area that a moving object can have visited between two anchor regions (given some local speed limitations). [Termes IGN] transport routierRésumé : (Auteur) Lately, the amount of mobility data recorded by GPS-enabled (and other) devices has increased drastically, entailing the necessity of efficient processing and analysis methods. In many cases, not only the geographic position, but also additional time-dependent information are traced and/or generated, according to the purpose of the evaluation. For example, in the field of animal behavior research, besides the position of the monitored animal, biologists are interested in further data like the altitude or the temperature at every measuring point. Other application domains comprise the names of streets, places of interest, or transportation modes that can be recorded along with the geographic position of a person. In this paper, we present in detail a framework for analyzing datasets with arbitrarily many time-dependent attributes. This can be considered as a major extension of our previous work, a comprehensive framework for pattern matching on symbolic trajectories with index support. For an efficient processing of different data types, a variable number of indexes of four different types that correspond to the data types of the attributes are applied. We demonstrate the expressiveness and efficiency of our approach by querying a real dataset representing taxi trips in Rome and, particularly, with a broad series of experiments using trajectories generated by BerlinMOD combined with geological raster data.
