[Termes IGN] surface cultivéeRésumé : (auteur) Global urbanization changes land cover patterns and affects the living environment of humans. However, urbanization and its evolution process, i.e., conversions among diverse land covers, are hard to measure, as existing land cover maps usually have low temporal resolutions; conversely, long-term and temporally dense land cover maps, such as vegetation-impervious-soil decomposition maps base on MODIS, ignore the important land cover of cropland in urban evolution process (UEP). To resolve the issue, this study suggests a novel model named time-extended non-crop vegetation-impervious-cropland (Time V-I-C) to represent and quantify different stages of UEP; then, a normalized multi-objective T-ConvLSTM (NMT) method is proposed to unmix cropland, non-crop vegetation, and impervious based on the intra-annual remotely-sensed time series, and obtain their fractions in each pixel for generating UEP maps. Consequently, UEP maps from 2001 to 2018 are generated for two Chinese urban agglomerations, i.e., Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and Yangtze River Delta urban agglomerations. The mapping results have high accuracies with a small standard error of regression (SER) of 13.1%, small root mean square error (RMSE) of 12.6%, and small mean absolute error (MAE) of 8.4%, and the maps reveal the different UEP in the two urban agglomerations. Therefore, this study provides a new idea for expressing UEP and contributes to a wide range of urbanization studies and sustainable city development. [Termes IGN] Wuhan (Chine)Résumé : (auteur) Points-of-interest (POIs) geographic information system data are increasingly important for supporting map generation and navigation services, although updating their semantic and location information still largely depends on manual labor. In this study, we propose a novel method to automatically detect the changes in POIs from Chinese text and check-in position data provided by the Chinese social media platform, Weibo. The proposed method includes three steps: (1) POI name recognition; (2) location confirmation; (3) and change detection. First, we propose recognizing a POI's name from Weibo text using the improved conditional random field algorithm. Then, we detect the location of each named POI by integrating the text address with the check-in position. The changes in the detected POIs are recognized by extracting the status words from Weibo text and a three-level status word database. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed method, we examine Wuhan as a case and detect the changes in the commercial POI using real-world Weibo data collected from January to September 2020. Based on the validation of three common map platforms, the data provided and the manual field investigation of 55 random samples, the identification accuracies for newly added POIs, the unchanged POIs, and expired POIs are approximately 100, 95.8, and 91.7%, respectively. [Termes IGN] tenseurRésumé : (auteur) On May 21, 2021, a Mw 7.4 earthquake struck the Maduo County in Qinghai province of China. The earthquake was well recorded by the surrounding high-rate Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) stations. In addition to GPS, GLONASS and BDS2 observations, these stations also recorded the latest BDS3 and Galileo observations. The performance of high-rate single-GNSS and fusion of multi-GNSS on warning magnitude calculation, rapid centroid moment tensor inversion and static fault slip inversion are well investigated in this study. The results demonstrate that within a short period of time (5 min), Precise Point Positioning (PPP) displacements of BDS3 alone are better than those of BDS2 alone, while the individual displacement accuracies of BDS3, GPS and Galileo are comparable. When BDS3 and BDS2 data are combined, the combined BDS accuracy is slightly better than that of GPS or Galileo alone. Compared with the single-GNSS displacements, the fusion of GPS + GLONASS + Galileo + BDS3/2 (GREC) can achieve the highest accuracy with standard deviation values of 0.25 cm, 0.22 cm and 0.53 cm in north, east and up components, respectively. For the warning magnitude estimation, BDS3 alone, BDS2 alone, combined BDS3/2, combined GPS + BDS3/2, Galileo alone and GREC all show comparable performance. The results of centroid moment tensor inversion and static fault slip inversion are related to the station distribution. When the same stations are used, the inverted centroid moment tensors and static fault slips of a single GNSS are very similar to the multi-GNSS inversion results, but the multi-GNSS centroid moment tensor series and fault slips appear to be more stable when the observation quality of a single GNSS such as GLONASS, is relatively low. The results obtained in this study imply that GPS, BDS3, Galileo and combined multi-GNSS have the potential to be used for the earthquake early warning and rapid earthquake source modeling. [Termes IGN] surveillance géologiqueRésumé : (auteur) On 8th August 2017, a catastrophic Ms. 7.0 earthquake with a focal depth of 20 km struck the Jiuzhaigou County in Sichuan Province, China. It exerted a strong influence on the slope stability within the surrounding areas and triggered numerous secondary geohazards including rockfalls and other co-seismic landslides, which incurred drastic surface changes, and thus can be easily identified from cloud-free high-resolution optical imagery. Most of such landslides became stabilized shortly after the earthquake while others moving very slowly for years. In contrast, some slopes were destabilized without significant surface change into slow-moving landslides, which may pose long-term potential threats to people's life and property. Therefore, it is crucial to accurately identify these slow-moving landslides and regularly monitor their post-seismic activity. In this study, we employed the synthetic aperture radar interferometry (InSAR) techniques to detect and monitor slow-moving landslides after the earthquake in the Jiuzhaigou area, and analyzed the impacts of the earthquake on these landslides through integration of multi-source data (InSAR, Lidar, optical image, and field survey). As a result, 16 slow-moving landslides were detected by InSAR in the Jiuzhaigou area, including several historical landslides. The results of time-series InSAR analyses enabled identification of three kinds of landslide evolution modes affected by the earthquake, i.e. acceleration of deformation of pre-existing landslides, reactivation of dormant landslide, and remobilization of earthquake-triggered landslide. Each mode is supported by detailed analyses of multi-source data. The results demonstrated that satellite InSAR combined with high-resolution Lidar and optical data can provide a cost-effective approach of post-earthquake geohazards detection and monitoring. [Termes IGN] optimisation par essaim de particulesRésumé : (auteur) Single-wavelength bathymetric light detection and ranging (LiDAR) (532 nm) can provide seamless meter- and submeter-scale digital elevation model (DEMs) of both the terrestrial surface and seafloor. However, mixed terrestrial and bathymetric surfaces obtained by this sensor are challenging for full-waveform (FW) signal detection. This study addresses the issues in two FW mixed surfaces: accurate classification of terrestrial and nonterrestrial waveforms from the original waveforms without auxiliary information and flexible detection of peaks based on a new FW theoretical model. A novel FW signal detection model (FWSD) for single-wavelength bathymetric LiDAR is proposed without complex feature extraction and iterative procedure through waveform classification and segmentation. The raw FWs are divided into five categories for subsequent signal detection using a convolutional neural network that merges local descriptors with contextual information. The signal detection task is then split into FW segment recognition and peak extraction using a new FW model, which integrates a leapfrog sliding window FW segmentation, an improved extreme learning machine (ELM) algorithm for FW segment recognition, and a flexible signal detection framework. To search for the optimal initial parameters for ELM, a self-annealing particle swarm optimization (SAPSO) algorithm is introduced, and the output weight is adjusted by online sequence to improve its generalization. When combined with the Richardson–Lucy deconvolution (RLD) algorithm, FWSD can be adapted to deal with shallow water waveforms. Finally, a test demonstration with an airborne dataset shows that FWSD has higher detection efficiency and higher accuracy than Levenberg–Marquardt algorithm optimized generalized Gaussian model (LM-GGM) and RLD algorithm.
