[Termes IGN] vulnérabilitéRésumé : (auteur) Urban flood risk management requires an extensive investigation of the vulnerability characteristics of buildings. Large-scale field surveys usually cost a lot of time and money, while satellite remote sensing and street view images can provide information on the tops and facades of buildings respectively. Thereupon, this paper develops a building vulnerability assessment framework using remote sensing and street view features. Specifically, a UNet-based semantic segmentation model, FSA-UNet (Fusion-Self-Attention-UNet) is proposed to integrate remote sensing and street view features and the vulnerability information contained in the images is fully exploited. And the building vulnerability index is generated to provide the spatial distribution characteristics of urban building vulnerability. The experiment shows that the mIoU of the proposed model can reach 82% for building vulnerability classification in Hefei, China, which is more accurate than the traditional semantic segmentation models. The results indicate that the integration of street view and remote sensing image features can improve the ability of building vulnerability assessment, and the model proposed in this study can better capture the correlation features of multi-angle images through the self-attention mechanism and combines hierarchy features and edge information to improve the classification effect. This study can support for disaster management and urban planning. [Termes IGN] repère de référenceRésumé : (auteur) In 2009, the geoscience community has fixed an objective of 1 mm accuracy and 0.1 mm/yr stability for the terrestrial reference frame (TRF) realization (Global Geodetic Observing System, GGOS, Meeting the Requirements of a Global Society on a Changing Planet in 2020, Plag and Pearlman in Global geodetic observing system: meeting the requirements of a global society on a changing planet in 2020. Springer, Berlin, 2009. https://doi.org/10.1007/978-3-642-02687-4). This accuracy and stability are needed for diversified studies like climate change, tectonic sciences and more generally any geoscience requiring the use of an accurate and precise TRF. Unfortunately, they are still not reached by the last International Terrestrial Reference Frame. To reach this goal, the use of “multi-technique” satellites as “space-ties” has been studied since 2011 and a few proposals have been made in response to different space agency calls: the Geodetic Reference Antenna in Space (GRASP) mission—NASA Earth Venture 2 call, Eratosthenes-GRASP (E-GRASP)—ESA Earth Explorer 9 (EE9) call, MOBILE—ESA EE10 call, MARVEL—CNES Séminaire de Prospective Scientifique 2019). In this article, we present the numerical simulations carried out by the French Groupe de Recherche de Géodésie Spatiale (GRGS) for the E-GRASP proposal in response to the ESA EE-9 call and their improvements carried out afterwards. These simulations aim to answer three different questions:
Is it possible to reach the GGOS requirements for the TRF with the measurements of a GRASP-like satellite like E-GRASP alone?
If it is possible, which level of accuracy for the positioning of the on-board antennas is needed?
What is the minimal lifetime of a E-GRASP mission to reach the GGOS requirements?
The results of these simulations show that a E-GRASP satellite can allow us to reach, after five years, an accuracy close to 1 mm and a stability better than 0.1 mm/yr for the TRF. However, it is necessary to ensure a positioning better than 1 mm for the on-board antennas. We therefore encourage the new ESA GENESIS mission proposal, accepted during the ESA last Ministerial meeting on 23rd November 2022, which takes up the concept of a GRASP-type satellite.Numéro de notice : A2023-227 Affiliation des auteurs : UMR IPGP-Géod+Ext (2020- ) Thématique : POSITIONNEMENT Nature : Article nature-HAL : ArtAvecCL-RevueIntern DOI : 10.1007/s00190-023-01730-4 Date de publication en ligne : 15/05/2023 En ligne : https://doi.org/10.1007/s00190-023-01730-4 Format de la ressource électronique : URL article Permalink : https://documentation.ensg.eu/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=103247

[Termes IGN] rayonnement solaireRésumé : (auteur) The quality of BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS) Geostationary Earth Orbit (GEO) ultra-rapid products is unsatisfactory because GEO satellites are nearly stationary relative to ground stations. To optimize the quality of these ultra-rapid orbit products, we investigated the effects of the fitting arc length, an a priori Solar-Radiation Pressure (SRP) model, and the along-track empirical acceleration on the prediction of BDS GEO satellite orbits. The predicted orbit arcs of 24-h were evaluated through comparisons with the corresponding observed orbit arc and Satellite Laser Ranging (SLR) observations. In both eclipse and non-eclipse seasons, accuracy of the orbit predictions obtained using a 48-h fitting arc length were better than those obtained using 24-h and 72-h fitting arc lengths. Although the overlapping precision of predicted orbits exhibited no obvious improvement when an a priori SRP model was employed, the systematic bias in the SLR residuals was significantly reduced. Specifically, the mean value of SLR residuals decreased from −0.248 m to −0.024 m during non-eclipse seasons and from −0.333 m to −0.041 m during eclipse seasons, respectively. In addition, when an empirical acceleration in the along-track direction was introduced, the three-Dimensional Root-Mean-Square (3D RMS) of overlapping orbits during eclipse seasons decreased from 2.964 to 1.080 m, which is comparable to that during non-eclipse seasons. Furthermore, the Standard Deviation (STD) of SLR residuals decreased from 0.419 to 0.221 m during eclipse seasons. The analysis of SRP estimates shows that the stability of SRP parameters was significantly enhanced after the introduction of along-track empirical acceleration in eclipse seasons. The optimal BDS GEO ultra-rapid orbit prediction products were yielded by using a 48-h fitting arc length, an a priori SRP model and an along-track empirical acceleration. [Termes IGN] trajet multipleRésumé : (auteur) This paper presents methods for the precise orbit determination (POD) of a satellite in the CYGNSS constellation based on available single-frequency GPS code and carrier measurements. The contributions include the development and evaluation of procedures for single-frequency POD with GipsyX, improvement of CYGNSS orbit knowledge, and an assessment of its final accuracy. Ionospheric effects are mitigated using the GRAPHIC processing method, and spacecraft multipath effects are calibrated with an azimuth/elevation-dependent antenna calibration map. The method is demonstrated using comparable data from the GRACE mission, from which we infer the expected accuracy of the CYGNSS results. Processing more than 170 days of data from each mission, a 1σ CYGNSS orbit accuracy of 2.8 cm radial, 2.4 cm cross-track, and 6 cm in-track is demonstrated. We expect that achieving this level of performance will expand the set of future scientific investigations that can be undertaken using satellites equipped with single-frequency GNSS.
