[Termes IGN] temps réelRésumé : (Auteur) Until recently, the real-time IGS precise orbit and clock corrections were only available for the predicted part of the ultra-rapid solution. Whereas the accuracy of the ultra-rapid orbit is about 5 cm, the root mean square (RMS) of the respective satellite clock corrections is, unfortunately, about 3 ns (0.9 m). Hence, high accuracy Precise Point Positioning (PPP) applications can be achieved only in post-processing rather than in realtime. With the availability of the IGS real-time service (RTS), it becomes possible to obtain precise satellite orbit and satellite clock corrections in realtime with accuracy better than those of the ultra-rapid products. Recent research has shown that GPS IGS RTS products availability is at least 95 %, which makes it possible to perform real-time PPP with high accuracy. We study the performance of IGS RTS products in PPP by introducing a detailed description and analysis of IGS RTS products, describing the broadcasting of the IGS RTS orbit and clock corrections and their implementation as corrections to the broadcast ephemerides, and analyzing IGS RTS in PPP using several, randomly selected globally distributed IGS stations. It is shown that using IGS RTS products in real-time PPP can improve the solution RMS by about 50 % compared with the solution obtained from the predicted part of the IGS ultra-rapid products. [Termes IGN] résolution d'ambiguïtéRésumé : (auteur) Stochastic models are important in global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) estimation problems. One can achieve reliable ambiguity resolution and precise positioning only by use of a suitable stochastic model. The BeiDou system has received increased research focus, but based only on empirical stochastic models from the knowledge of GPS. In this paper, we will systematically study the estimation, assessment and impacts of a triple-frequency BeiDou stochastic model. In our estimation problem, a single-difference, geometry-free functional model is used to extract pure random noise. A very sophisticated structure of unknown variance matrix is designed to allow the estimation of satellite-specific variances, cross correlations between two arbitrary frequencies, as well as the time correlations for phase and code observations per frequency. In assessing the stochastic models, six data sets with four brands of BeiDou receivers on short and zero-length baselines are processed, and the results are compared. In impact analysis of stochastic model, the performance of integer ambiguity resolution and positioning are numerically demonstrated using a realistic stochastic model. The results from ultrashort (shorter than 10 m) and zero-length baselines indicate that BeiDou stochastic models are affected by both observation and receiver brands. The observation variances have been modeled by an elevation-dependent function, but the modeling errors for geostationary earth orbit (GEO) satellites are larger than for inclined geosynchronous satellite orbit (IGSO) and medium earth orbit (MEO) satellites. The stochastic model is governed by both the internal errors of the receiver and external errors at the site. Different receivers have different capabilities for resisting external errors. A realistic stochastic model is very important for achieving ambiguity resolution with a high success rate and small false alarm and for determining realistic variances for position estimates. To the best of our knowledge, this paper is the first comprehensive study on such stochastic models used specifically with BeiDou data. [Termes IGN] positionnement par GPSRésumé : (auteur) On 17 April 2011, all analysis centers (ACs) of the International GNSS Service (IGS) adopted the reference frame realization IGS08 and the corresponding absolute antenna phase center model igs08.atx for their routine analyses. The latter consists of an updated set of receiver and satellite antenna phase center offsets and variations (PCOs and PCVs). An update of the model was necessary due to the difference of about 1 ppb in the terrestrial scale between two consecutive realizations of the International Terrestrial Reference Frame (ITRF2008 vs. ITRF2005), as that parameter is highly correlated with the GNSS satellite antenna PCO components in the radial direction. For the receiver antennas, more individual calibrations could be considered and GLONASS-specific correction values were added. For the satellite antennas, all correction values except for the GPS PCVs were newly estimated considering more data than for the former model. Satellite-specific PCOs for all GPS satellites active since 1994 could be derived from reprocessed solutions of five ACs generated within the scope of the first IGS reprocessing campaign. Two ACs separately derived a full set of corrections for all GLONASS satellites active since 2003. Ignoring scale-related biases, the accuracy of the satellite antenna PCOs is on the level of a few cm. With the new phase center model, orbit discontinuities at day boundaries can be reduced, and the consistency between GPS and GLONASS results is improved. To support the analysis of low Earth orbiter (LEO) data, igs08.atx was extended with LEO-derived PCV estimates for big nadir angles in June 2013. [Termes IGN] rotation de la TerreRésumé : (Auteur) The International GNSS Service (IGS) issues four sets of so-called ultra-rapid products per day, which are based on the contributions of the IGS Analysis Centers. The traditional (“old”) ultra-rapid orbit and earth rotation parameters (ERP) solution of the Center for Orbit Determination in Europe (CODE) was based on the output of three consecutive 3-day long-arc rapid solutions. Information from the IERS Bulletin A was required to generate the predicted part of the old CODE ultra-rapid product. The current (“new”) product, activated in November 2013, is based on the output of exactly one multi-day solution. A priori information from the IERS Bulletin A is no longer required for generating and predicting the orbits and ERPs. This article discusses the transition from the old to the new CODE ultra-rapid orbit and ERP products and the associated improvement in reliability and performance. All solutions used in this article were generated with the development version of the Bernese GNSS Software. The package was slightly extended to meet the needs of the new CODE ultra-rapid generation. [Termes IGN] largeur de bandeRésumé : (Auteur) Sentinel-1 (S-1) has an unparalleled mapping capacity. In interferometric wide swath (IW) mode, three subswaths imaged in the novel Terrain Observation by Progressive Scans (TOPS) SAR mode result in a total swath width of 250 km. S-1 has become the European workhorse for large area mapping and interferometric monitoring at medium resolution. The interferometric processing of TOPS data however requires special consideration of the signal properties, resulting from the ScanSAR-type burst imaging and the antenna beam steering in azimuth. The high Doppler rate in azimuth sets very stringent coregistration requirements, making the use of enhanced spectral diversity (ESD) necessary to obtain the required fine azimuth coregistration accuracy. Other unique aspects of processing IW data, such as azimuth spectral filtering, image resampling, and data deramping and reramping, are reviewed, giving a recipe-like description that enables the user community to use S-1 IW mode repeat-pass SAR data. Interferometric results from S-1A are provided, demonstrating the mapping capacity of the S-1 system and its interferometric suitability for geophysical applications. An interferometric evaluation of a coherent interferometric pair over Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia, is provided, where several aspects related to coregistration, deramping, and synchronization are analyzed. Additionally, a spatiotemporal evaluation of the along-track shifts, which are directly related to the orbital/instrument timing error, measured from the SAR data is shown, which justifies the necessity to refine the azimuth shifts with ESD. The spatial evaluation indicates high stability of the azimuth shifts for several slices of a datatake.
