[Termes IGN] système d'information géographiqueRésumé : (Auteur) Recent advances in positioning and communication technologies have made it possible to collect trajectories of moving objects, and thus, corresponding applications that handle trajectories come into sight, e.g. applying vehicle trajectories to traffic studies, where various queries about trajectories are necessary. However, due to their special spatio-temporal query conditions, trajectory queries are different from existing GIS queries, and there is still a lack of efficient data-access methods to support queries about trajectories. In view of this, we develop a data-access method, named a Topology-based Mixed Index Structure (TMIS), to index network-constrained trajectories for connectivity-based queries. The TMIS indeed is not a novel index structure but a novel combination of simple and classical index structures linked by the topology of a network. The TMIS can support more query types through different combinations of simple and classical index structures and can be applied to a large network. Existing database management systems can be employed to implement the TMIS. In this paper, we first define network-constrained trajectories and connectivity-based queries, and then introduce the principles, architecture, algorithms, and query processing of the TMIS. Finally, we implement the TMIS and validate it through a series of analyses and experiments. [Termes IGN] Triangulated Irregular NetworkRésumé : (Auteur) Sensor networks are unattended deeply distributed systems whose database schema can be conceptualized using the relational model. Aggregation queries on the data sampled at each sensor node are the main means to extract the abstract characteristics of the surrounding environment. However, the non-uniform distribution of the sensor nodes in the environment leads to inaccurate results generated by the aggregation queries. In this paper, we introduce "spatial aggregations" that take into consideration the spatial location of each measurement generated by the sensor nodes. We propose the use of spatial interpolation methods derived from the fields of spatial statistics and computational geometry to answer spatial aggregations. In particular, we study Spatial Moving Average (SMA), Voronoi Diagram and Triangulated Irregular Network (TIN). Investigating these methods for answering spatial average queries, we show that the average value on the data samples weighted by the area of the Voronoi cell of the corresponding sensor node, provides the best precision. Consequently, we introduce an algorithm to compute and maintain the accurate Voronoi cell at each sensor node while the location of the others arrive on data stream. We also propose AVC-SW, a novel algorithm to approximate this Voronoi cell over a sliding window that supports dynamism in the sensor network. To demonstrate the performance of in-network implementation of our aggregation operators, we have developed prototypes of two different approaches to distributed spatial aggregate processing. Note de contenu : Introduction - S. SERVIGNE, Th. LIBOUREL.

It explores a new way of representing the topological relationships among 3D geographical features such as buildings and their internal partitions or subunits. The 3D topological data model is called the combinatorial data model (CDM). It is a logical data model that simplifies and abstracts the complex topological relationships among 3D features through a hierarchical network structure called the node-relation structure (NRS). This logical network structure is abstracted by using the property of Poincaré duality. It is modelled and presented in the paper using graph-theoretic formalisms. The model was implemented with real data for evaluating its effectiveness for performing 3D spatial queries and visualization.
