[Termes IGN] TurquieRésumé : (Auteur) If the usability of orthophotos of aerial images and high-resolution satellite images in cadastre renewal works is ensured, the state cadastre can be maintained and constantly updated. For this purpose, three pilot fields in Konya, Adana and Şanlıurfa were selected. In these fields, land surveys were made with a CORS method by using GPS. The coordinates were obtained by using orthophotos in Konya (1/2000 scale) and in Adana (1/5000 scale) and orthophotos with 1/5000 scale obtained from WorldView-2 high-resolution satellite images in Şanlıurfa. One aim was to establish the positional accuracy of the data obtained from digital orthophotos and area accuracy in comparison with cadastral areas by presuming that the land surveys were accurate. In light of the discovered results, comments on the usability of orthophotos obtained from aerial images and high-resolution satellite images in renewal cadastre were made. [Termes IGN] système d'information foncièreRésumé : (Auteur) The main aim of this paper is to document the gradual evolution of cadastral maps and associated land books in the area of today’s Austria as well as the more dramatic development of the cadastral system in Galicia (Poland). The continuous development of the Austrian system is compared to the more gradual evolution of the Polish system, the development of which was more complex because of the historical and political developments in this country’s turbulent past. However both systems have common roots with the Franciscan Cadastre. The investigation is based on development of the legal instruments, the institutional settings, the technical procedures, and the final products of the respected countries. The comparison of the development in the two countries and the results of the investigated quality assessment of cadastral maps clearly document that the smooth development of a cadastre requires a stable political situation. The Austrian cadastre had already almost finished the period of consolidation, harmonization, and completion in 1938. This allowed a new area of further development to evolve after 1945. In Poland, the unfinished tasks of homogenization and harmonization in 1939 and the significant changes in the political system in 1945 delayed consolidation, harmonization, and completion of the cadastral system and impeded the continuous development of the system for the next decades. [Termes IGN] système de gestion de bases de données relationnellesRésumé : (Auteur) Biomasses are materials of organic origin that can be used for the production of energy. Among the renewable energy sources, a prominent role is played by woody biomass, which can be retrieved from existing forests or plantations governed in short or middle rotation coppice, the so-called Short and Medium Rotation Forestry. The main environmental benefit resulting from the use of wood biomass consists in the fact that the amount of carbon dioxide released during their combustion process is the same as that absorbed during the development phase. Here, we propose a procedure to manage the traceability of short biomass chains and to schedule the activities for mobile forest construction sites using free and open-source GIS technologies. Firstly, we created a spatial DB to manage the areas where the cutting and logging activities are performed. Then, we overlapped the boundaries of areas with the cadastral sheets to ensure the biomass comes from short chain, i.e., within the range of 70 km from the position of the central. To plan the number of working days required and make an estimation of the production, the total area of the lots, the land clearing, and the net area were calculated. Finally, depending on the characteristics of wooded areas, the type of system to be used for the business of cutting and logging was evaluated. This work demonstrates how GIS allows a fast traceability of short biomass chains and an estimation of the production by improving the efficiency and effectiveness of biomass resource assessment.
