[Termes IGN] UMLRésumé : (auteur) This study aims to improve the interoperability between the application domains of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) by linking and harmonizing core information concepts. Many studies have investigated the integration of application schemas and data instances according to the BIM model IFC and the GIS model CityGML. This study investigates integration between core abstract concepts from IFC and ISO/TC 211 standards for GIS—independent of specific application schemas. A pattern was developed for conversion from IFC EXPRESS schemas to Unified Modelling Language (UML) models according to ISO/TC 211 standards. Core concepts from the two application domains were linked in the UML model, and conversions to implementation schemas for the Geography Markup Language (GML) and EXPRESS were tested. The results showed that the IFC model could be described as an ISO/TC 211 compliant UML model and that abstract concepts from ISO/TC 211 standards could be linked to core IFC concepts. Implementation schemas for BIM and GIS formats could be derived from the UML model, enabling implementation in applications from both domains without conversion of concepts. Future work should include refined linking and harmonization of core abstract concepts from the two application domains. [Termes IGN] zone urbaineRésumé : (auteur) Electric vehicles arouse interest since they not only contribute economies of countries in the context of dependency to oil but also support to more livable and sustainable urban areas. The location selection of electric vehicle charging stations is one of the most vital topics in order to enhance the use of electric vehicles. In this sense, the aim of this paper is to propose an approach that integrates Geographic Information System (GIS) techniques and Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) methods for finding suitable locations of the electric vehicle charging stations. In this regard, the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) methods are used to calculate the weights of criteria. While the two different weights for each criterion are obtained by means of AHP in terms of environmental impact and accessibility, another weight for each criterion is obtained as a means of applying the FAHP. The intersection of three different suitability indexes is determined so as to achieve a holistic, credible result. The Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method is used to rank the alternative locations. The results show that the proposed approach offers a notable solution to be selected suitable charging station locations. Moreover, policymakers and administrators could benefit from these results in order to make efficient decisions for forward planning and strategies. [Termes IGN] télédétectionRésumé : (auteur) Automated feature extraction from drone-based image point clouds (DIPC) is of paramount importance in precision agriculture (PA). PA is blessed with mechanized row seedlings to attain maximum yield and best management practices. Therefore, automated plantation rows extraction is essential in crop harvesting, pest management, and plant grow-rate predictions. Most of the existing research is consists on red, green, and blue (RGB) image-based solutions to extract plantation rows with the minimal background noise of test study sites. DIPC-based DSM row extraction solutions have not been tested frequently. In this research work, an automated method is designed to extract plantation row from DIPC-based DSM. The chosen plantation compartments have three different levels of background noise in UAVs images, therefore, methodology was tested under different background noises. The extraction results were quantified in terms of completeness, correctness, quality, and F1-score values. The case study revealed the potential of DIPC-based solution to extraction the plantation rows with an F1-score value of 0.94 for a plantation compartment with minimal background noises, 0.91 value for a highly noised compartment, and 0.85 for a compartment where DIPC was compromised. The evaluation suggests that DSM-based solutions are robust as compared to RGB image-based solutions to extract plantation-rows. Additionally, DSM-based solutions can be further extended to assess the plantation rows surface deformation caused by humans and machines and state-of-the-art is redefined. Meanwhile, road network structure has been analyzed from a network science perspective that focuses on nodes and relational links and aims to predictive models. However, limited empirical studies have explored the relationship between road network structure and ride-sharing accessibility through such perspective. This paper utilizes the spatial Durbin model to understand the relationship between road network structure and ride-sharing accessibility, proxied by Uber accessibility, through classical network measures of degree, closeness, and betweenness centrality. Taking the city of Atlanta as a case study, we have found in addition to population density and road network density, larger values of degree centrality and smaller values of closeness centrality of the road network are associated with better accessibility of Uber services. However, the effects of betweenness centrality are not significant. Furthermore, we have revealed heterogeneous effects of degree centrality and closeness centrality on the accessibility of Uber services, as the magnitudes of their effects vary by different time windows (i.e., weekday vs. weekend, rush hour in the morning vs. evening). Network science provides us both conceptual and methodological measures to understand the association between road network structure and ride-sharing accessibility. In this study, we constructed road network structure measures with OpenStreetMap, which is reproducible, replicable, and scalable because of its global coverage and public availability. The study resonates with the notion of cities as the set of interactions across networks, as we have observed time-sensitive heterogeneous effects of road network structure on ride-sharing accessibility. [Termes IGN] utilisation du solRésumé : (auteur) Land use and land cover change (LULCC) has directly played an important role in the observed climate change. In this paper, we considered Dujiangyan City and its environs (DCEN) to study the future scenario in the years 2025, 2030, and 2040 based on the 2018 simulation results from 2007 and 2018 LULC maps. This study evaluates the spatial and temporal variations of future LULCC, including the future potential landscape risk (FPLR) area of the 2008 great (8.0 Mw) earthquake of south-west China. The Cellular automata–Markov chain (CA-Markov) model and multicriteria based analytical hierarchy process (MC-AHP) approach have been considered using the integration of remote sensing and GIS techniques. The analysis shows future LULC scenario in the years 2025, 2030, and 2040 along with the FPLR pattern. Based on the results of the future LULCC and FPLR scenarios, we have provided suggestions for the development in the close proximity of the fault lines for the future strong magnitude earthquakes. Our results suggest a better and safe planning approach in the Belt and Road Corridor (BRC) of China to control future Silk-Road Disaster, which will also be useful to urban planners for urban development in a safe and sustainable manner.
