[Termes IGN] ville intelligenteRésumé : (auteur) Geographic information system (GIS) data provide geospatial data on cities and spatial analysis functions that are essential for urban design. Building information modeling (BIM) includes a digital entity of construction, a passive presentation of micro-digital information on real entities, and an active application of models in the entire life cycle realization of the architecture, engineering, and construction industries. A combination of these technologies could provide a core technology for the urban digital twin to support sustainable smart city design. Through an insightful literature review, this paper summarizes the different disciplinary classifications of GIS and BIM functional integration, distills the value of data, and discusses the ontology-based data integration approach that GIS and BIM should take in the future to conduct research on integration applications in smart cities. To verify this view, keyword analysis, co-country analysis, and co-citation and coupling analyses are conducted using CiteSpace. GIS and BIM integration has attracted much attention. However, a professional disconnect and fragmented composition pose challenges in the field of GIS and BIM integration. Future research should focus on smart city planning, updating, management; ontology-based GIS and BIM data integration platform; and operation; and the collaborative management of urban rail transportation engineering. L.) estimated by the SEBAL model and the FAO-56 method, throughout the phenological cycle of the plant on eight fields located in the upper area of the Rio das Mortes basin, State of Mato Grosso—Brazil. Images from the Landsat 8 satellite were used under the Geographic Information Systems environment through the capabilities of the QGIS 3.6.2 and GRASS 7.6.1 software. The reference evapotranspiration was determined by the FAO Penman–Monteith method implementing the Ref-ET software and data from the Campo Verde meteorological station of INMET—Brazil. The R software was applied to the statistical analyses of correlation and regression. The dataset of the available stages of the cotton phenological cycle shows a strong positive correlation, with approximately 68% of the evapotranspiration variation of the SEBAL model related to the estimates of the FAO-56 method. As a case study, the integrated model was tested on 1097 daily traffic collisions data of Karaj-Qazvin freeway from 2009 to 2013 and the results were compared with the conventional ANN prediction model. In this method, initially, the raw collision data were analyzed, normalized, and classified via Geographical Information System (GIS). Partial Autocorrelation Function (PACF) was also utilized to evaluate the temporal autocorrelation for consecutive existing daily data. The results of this study showed that the proposed integrated DWT-ANN method provided higher predictive accuracy in daily traffic collision than ANN model by increasing coefficient of determination (R2) from 0.66 to 0.82. [Termes IGN] texture d'imageRésumé : (auteur) We present a new method to create spatial data using a generative adversarial network (GAN). Our contribution uses coarse and widely available geospatial data to create maps of less available features at the finer scale in the built environment, bypassing their traditional acquisition techniques (e.g. satellite imagery or land surveying). In the work, we employ land use data and road networks as input to generate building footprints and conduct experiments in 9 cities around the world. The method, which we implement in a tool we release openly, enables the translation of one geospatial dataset to another with high fidelity and morphological accuracy. It may be especially useful in locations missing detailed and high-resolution data and those that are mapped with uncertain or heterogeneous quality, such as much of OpenStreetMap. The quality of the results is influenced by the urban form and scale. In most cases, the experiments suggest promising performance as the method tends to truthfully indicate the locations, amount, and shape of buildings. The work has the potential to support several applications, such as energy, climate, and urban morphology studies in areas previously lacking required data or inpainting geospatial data in regions with incomplete data. [Termes IGN] ZambieRésumé : (auteur) Protected forest areas are fraught with severe threats from mining, agriculture and settlement expansion, and unsustainable use of forest resources. Due to funding and technical challenges, the inadequate monitoring and lack of information limits the conservation efforts in Zambia in general and Solwezi district in particular. Field-based methods in monitoring forest quality and suitability are time consuming and inefficient especially in inaccessible areas. However, with the advent of technology, Geographical Information System (GIS) and remote sensing, important data for forest quality can easily be accessed. This study aimed at assessing the state of protected forest areas in Zambia’s Solwezi Copper mining district, prone to forest fragmentation. Furthermore, this study identifies suitable areas for conservation, based on standardized criteria that combine Multi Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) and GIS approach. A suitability model was developed for the selection of the suitable areas, and elimination of the unsuitable ones, using GIS and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Five suitability criteria and two restriction criteria were used in this model. The results show different ranked levels of suitability which include 15.4% restricted, 18.1% lowly suitable, 14.9% moderately suitable, 21.2% highly suitable and 30.4% extremely suitable. Our approach informs conservationists, and other stakeholders about the status of protected forest areas and avails novel opportunities for creating new ones. This study’s modelling approach can be a prerequisite to sustainable forest management by policy makers and practitioners, and an essential input into forest monitoring.
