[Termes IGN] polarimétrie radarRésumé : (auteur) Until recently the coarse resolution of topographic mapping acted as a break on understanding the forces and processes that shape the Earth's surface. However, active surface deformation is an important indicator for the earth crustal dynamics since it is directly linked to earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and landslides. Both airborne laser scanning systems (LiDAR) and spaceborne interferometric synthetic aperture radars (InSAR) have provided valuable information for many case studies requiring highresolution characterization of ground movement in relatively large areas to assess the threat and impact of natural hazards especially for volcanic eruptions. The Piton de la Fournaise volcano (Reunion Island, France) is one of the most active basaltic shield volcanoes in the world. It has reached an anomalous activity level in the past years with a major eruption occurring in April 2007. In this paper, we explore the statistical, spatial and temporal behavior of the L-Band backscattering coefficient at both HH and HV polarizations over different type of terrains in the Fournaise lava field as a function of the LiDAR intensity data. The correlation will be used in setting empirical models to correct for the L-Band phase distortion on ash and rough surfaces in volcanic terrains. [Vedettes matières IGN] GéovisualisationRésumé : (auteur) This article presents a visual variable proposed to help users navigate in a virtual 3D world. This overlay is presented as a disc composed of independent sectors. Each sector conveys information about aggregated data carried from points of interest (POIs). The different parameters of the sectors express different information in a 3D view: the angle the direction of POIs’ group, the color value the density of POIs in this direction and the width of the border their density. This information is quantified the POIs configuration and is updated with users’ navigation. [Termes IGN] transformation de HoughRésumé : (auteur) This paper presents an approach for extracting 3D outlined planar clusters of street facades. Terrestrial laser data are acquired using a Mobile Mapping System (MMS). Mapping of street facades is of great interest in various digital mapping and robotic research topics. After a filtering step of the 3D point cloud, the dominant hypothetical facade planes are detected using an adapted Progressive Probabilistic Hough Transform (PPHT). The corresponding planar clusters are extracted using a priori geometric knowledge of street. The clusters are horizontally and vertically delimited using heuristic approaches. The adapted PPHT allows the automatic extraction of georeferenced planar clusters of facades with a fine detection of dominant facade lines and a low computation time. The adopted approach has been tested on a set of point cloud acquired in the city of Paris under real conditions. Examples and experimental results show the efficiency and the potential of the proposed approach.
