[Termes IGN] télémétrie laser sur satelliteRésumé : (Auteur) Quality descriptions are parts of the key tasks of geodetic data processing. Systematic errors should be detected and avoided in order to insure the high quality standards required by structural monitoring. In this study, the iterative closest point (ICP) method was invested to detect systematic errors in two overlapping data sets. There are three steps to process the systematic errors: firstly, one of the data sets was transformed to a reference system by the introduction of the Gauss–Helmert (GH) model. Secondly, quadratic form estimation and segmentation methods are proposed to guarantee the overlapping data sets. Thirdly, the ICP method was employed for a finer registration and detecting the systematic errors. A case study was casted in which a dam surface in Germany was scanned by terrestrial laser scanning (TLS) technology. The results indicated that with the conjugation of ICP algorithm the accuracy of the data sets was improved approximately by 1.6 mm. [Termes IGN] système de numérisation mobileRésumé : (Auteur) In this paper, we present a hybrid image/laser multi-sensor mobile mapping system allowing to capture a spatial data infrastructure which is compliant with several applications ranging from multimedia immersive visualisation to 3D metrology across the web. We detail the design of the system, its sensors, its architecture, and its calibration. We also present a web-based service on the acquired data that allows immersive street navigations but also 3D plotting tools that can allow a client to enrich his own databases. We also address some data processing issues related to privacy, i.e. pedestrian and car plate detection and blurring, that are mandatory for the dissemination of data through web-based consumer applications. [Termes IGN] toitRésumé : (Auteur) This paper describes a methodology for the identification of roofs for rain water harvesting, based on the use of laser scanner data and VIS/NIR imagery. Automatic discrimination of areas covered by vegetation and roofs is not an easy task when only information of pixels height is used; the procedure becomes more friendly when the local variation of the height, like the texture, is analyzed. First, the laserscanning image is thresholded according to the height. Mathematical morphology is also used to separate the largest surfaces, more suitable for rainwater harvesting. When the density of the point cloud is too low, the integrated analysis of laser scanning data and aerial photographs proves to allow a better discrimination of vegetation and roofs. The study shows the viability of the use of laser scanning data and aerial photographs for this purpose and proves that the analysis of texture is a powerful tool for discrimination purposes. [Termes IGN] triangulation de DelaunayRésumé : (Auteur) This paper offers a methodology for the semi-automatic extraction of control points for phototriangulation by using laser intensity images. The control points are determined by the intersection of three or more plane features which make up the roof of houses or building or constructions in general. The features under study are selected visually in aerial photos of constructions in which there are three or more sloped roofs presenting concurrent plane features. These constructions are identified in laser intensity image, and the plane features which define their roofs are extracted and individually adjusted from a group of points which result from the survey undertaken with airborne laser scanner. Control points are determined through the intersection of roof planes of each construction previously adjusted. By using this technique, it is possible to use the points obtained from plane feature intersection in a computational routine, thus replacing the ones obtained in the field. The airborne points were processed in a semi-automated way to rebuild the plane features of building roofs. Thus, they were identified in laser intensity image and extracted from Delaunay's triangulation. Finally, the analysis of normal vectors of the generated triangulation is realized. The methodology was tested by phototriangulation with bundle adjustment and supported by the points obtained from laser scanner and by checking points the ones pre-signalized and which where obtained from the field with GPS help. A photogrammetric block formed by six aerial photos obtained by non-metric digital camera was used for tests. The results were analysed and compared, and the methodology used was recommended.
