To verify the potential of this method, it was applied to the documentation of a specific case: the towers and roofs of the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Spain, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The design and development of a mechanism for coping with the elevation, based on telescopic masts, was essential. Models, orthophotos and plans have been obtained to determine and rigorously measure the geometry involved. Thereby it was possible to accurately record the materials and decorative elements based on the restitution of the granite stones. Furthermore, close range photogrammetry made the analysis and quantification of the inclination of the south tower possible. [Termes IGN] venteRésumé : (Auteur) Simulating the dynamics and processes within a spatially influenced retail market, such as the retail gasoline market, is a highly challenging research area. Current approaches are limited through their inability to model the impact of supplier or consumer behavior over both time and space. Agent-based models (ABMs) provide an alternative approach that overcomes these problems. We demonstrate how knowledge of retail pricing is extended by using a ‘hybrid’ model approach: an agent model for retailers and a spatial interaction model for consumers. This allows the issue of spatial competition between individual retailers to be examined in a way only accessible to agent-based models, allowing each model retailer autonomous control over optimizing their price. The hybrid model is shown to be successful at recreating spatial pricing dynamics at a national scale, simulating the effects of a rise in crude oil prices as well as accurately predicting which retailers were most susceptible to closure over a 10-year period. [Termes IGN] coûtRésumé : (Auteur) Geospatial data analysis techniques are widely used to find optimal routes from specified starting points to specified destinations. Optimality is defined in terms of minimizing some impedance value over the length of the route – the value to be minimized might be distance, travel time, financial cost, or any other metric. Conventional analysis procedures assume that impedance values of all possible travel routes are known a priori, and when this assumption holds, efficient solution strategies exist that allow truly optimal solutions to be found for even very large problems. When impedance values are not known with certainty a priori, exact solution strategies do not exist and heuristics must be employed. This study evaluated how the quality of the solutions generated by one such heuristic were impacted by the nature of the uncertainty in the cost database, the nature of the costs themselves, and the parameters used in the heuristic algorithm. It was found that all of these factors influenced the qualities of the solutions produced by the heuristic, but encouragingly, an easily controlled parameter of the heuristic algorithm itself played the most important role in controlling solution quality. [Termes IGN] SIG 3DRésumé : (Auteur) The development of a Geographic Information System (GIS) needs to import 3D solid elements created in three dimensions. The acquisition of these data is done, in most cases, by using a LIDAR (Light Detection and Ranging). Another possibility is the use of mobile mapping, integrated GNSS and inertial system (IMU). Subsequently, we conducted a thorough editing job. Certainly, if the scale of the project is larger, the amount of detail is greater and hence the cost and time of acquisition will be higher. Thus, the development of a GIS project for 3D applications, such as for the area of power distribution is still impractical for use in Brazil due to the high cost of 3D acquisition. Thus, to make the use of these tools in 3D GIS environment feasible an alternative methodology for cost reduction was developed. The alternative presented here was the use of an existing collection of photos, in this case refering to coverage on the scale 1:8000. Additionally, it used the 1: 2000 base map and a high resolution image from the QuickBird satellite (used as a backdrop and applied as texture in digital terrain model). On developing the project, we used the Opensource software, complete VTP (Virtual Terrain Project), including the libraries OGR, GDAL and vtdata vtlib compatible with MFC (Microsoft Foundation Class), GDI + (Graphics Device Interface Plus), and the database PostgreSQL (free database). 3D data modeling was done in order to reduce costs for an application to electricity distribution. Finally, we performed an analysis of the relative positional quality, and obtained satisfactory quantitative results, as presented in the text below.
