[Termes IGN] SlovaquieRésumé : (auteur) One of the biggest problems in the Slovak cadastre is the quality of maps. Approximately half of them require a new mapping. The quality of the other half is also not high, and they include local shifts. The paper deals with a proposal for a new way of their renewal—Cadastral Operate Renewal by Correction (RbC). This process is based on a transformation of the part of the map with local shifts using a new GNSS measurement. The process has three main stages—homogeneity analysis, transformation, and final control. The result of the RbC process is a renewed cadastral map without any local shifts. Another goal of this paper is to test this process in a chosen cadastral unit and to analyse the results. If the testing is successful, this process could be a fast and cheap alternative to a new mapping in case of these cadastral maps with local shifts. [Termes IGN] utilisation du solRésumé : (auteur) Landslide susceptibility is an important topic mainly because its geo-spatial analysis provides a useful tool for planning, disaster management and hazard mitigation. In this study, the aim is to identify and analyze landslide susceptibility at a local spatial scale, which is represented by the town of Handlová, using the multi-criteria evaluation (i.e., the analytical hierarchy process technique – AHP) and geographic information systems (GIS). The following landslide conditioning factors were selected representing the local terrain predispositions: slope angle, geology, slope aspect, elevation, distance from rivers, distance from faults and land use. The raster-based analysis was performed using the spatial resolution of 10 × 10 m. The weights for each factor were determined by the AHP technique where slope angle had the highest relative importance. Based on the resulting susceptibility map, 51.98% out of the total study area is characterized by high and very high susceptibility class. The Atlas of Slope Stability of the Slovak Republic, which contains past landslides until 2006, was used for verification of the results. The verification confirmed a moderate accuracy between the landslide susceptibility map and landslide inventory from the atlas since 60.8% of all landslide areas from the atlas corresponded with high and very high susceptibility class. [Termes IGN] tour (bâtiment)Résumé : (Auteur) The current trend of the construction of high-rise buildings is based on construction of a reinforced concrete frame and on subsequent mounting of a light curtain wall. Parts of facades of buildings are also additional elements like balcony railings. The correct functionality, safety and also the aesthetic look of the facades depend on accurate fitting of these elements to the concrete frame. The facade elements are mounted (fixed) using anchor blocks, which are built in the concrete frame. The paper presents the procedure of as-built documentation of anchor blocks of the building complex Panorama City in Bratislava (Slovakia). The complex consists of two high-rise buildings with height of 110 m and a connecting part with height of 15 m. The as-built documentation was created for the facades of the high-rise buildings, on which more than 2500 anchor blocks are situated. Each anchor block consists of four threaded rods of type M20. The position of the anchors can be described by 4 points, defined by intersection of the rod’s main axis and a plane representing the part of the concrete frame. For determination of the position of anchor blocks, the threaded rods and the planes were modelled from TLS point clouds. The measurement procedure, data processing and results are described. Part of the paper is devoted to accuracy analysis and the analysis of limitations of TLS usage, also. [Termes IGN] sylvicultureRésumé : (Auteur) Remote sensing is a key information source for improving the spatiotemporal understanding of forest ecosystem dynamics. Yet, the mapping and attribution of forest change remains challenging, particularly in areas where a number of interacting disturbance agents simultaneously affect forest development. The forest ecosystems of Central Europe are coupled human and natural systems, with natural and human disturbances affecting forests both individually and in combination. To better understand the complex forest disturbance dynamics in such systems, we utilize 32-year Landsat time series to map forest disturbances in five sites across Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, Poland, and Slovakia. All sites consisted of a National Park and the surrounding forests, reflecting three management zones of different levels of human influence (managed, protected, strictly protected). This allowed for a comparison of spectral, temporal, and spatial disturbance patterns across a gradient from natural to coupled human and natural disturbances. Disturbance maps achieved overall accuracies ranging from 81% to 93%. Disturbance patches were generally small, with 95% of the disturbances being smaller than 10 ha. Disturbance rates ranged from 0.29% yr−1 to 0.95% yr−1, and differed substantially among management zones and study sites. Natural disturbances in strictly protected areas were longer in duration (median of 8 years) and slightly less variable in magnitude compared to human-dominated disturbances in managed forests (median duration of 1 year). However, temporal dynamics between natural and human-dominated disturbances showed strong synchrony, suggesting that disturbance peaks are driven by natural events affecting managed and unmanaged areas simultaneously. Our study demonstrates the potential of remote sensing for mapping forest disturbances in coupled human and natural systems, such as the forests of Central Europe. Yet, we also highlight the complexity of such systems in terms of agent attribution, as many natural disturbances are modified by management responding to them outside protected areas. [Termes IGN] sous-boisRésumé : (auteur) Ecological functions of a black alder riparian forest (Aegopodio-Alnetum glutinosae) as capacities for the provision of ecosystem services were analysed and indicated by an inductive (bottom-up) approach. In July 2015, species richness and diversity of the forest stand were analysed in Hlboká valley, near Husárka water reservoir, Tríbeč Mountains, western Slovakia, by phytocoenological relevé, aboveground biomass of the herb layer and litter mass were estimated by a harvest method. The quantitative data obtained for the forest vegetation were used for estimation of capacities (potentials) of the floodplain forest to provide non-market ecosystem services. The forage, melliferous and therapeutic potential were estimated and calculated by Jurko’s methods of ecological and socio-economic evaluations of vegetation. Aboveground biomass (production potential) of the forest understorey community was relatively high (seasonal maximum standing crop 59.03 g·m–2 in dry mass). The result of evaluation of the forage potential of the alder forest was higher than 50%, it means medium forage quality community. The melliferous potential was evaluated close to 190% (= high potential). The share of medicinal plants in the studied plant community was higher than 30%, referred to as extremely rich therapeutic potential. The analyses confirmed that the forest community represents high potentials for providing production ecosystem services.
