[Termes IGN] surface de la merRésumé : (auteur) The geodetic Corsica site was set up in 1998 in order to perform altimeter calibration of the TOPEX/Poseidon (T/P) mission and subsequently, Jason-1, OSTM/Jason-2, Jason-3 and more recently Sentinel-6 Michael Freilich (launched on November, 21 2020). The aim of the present study held in June 2015 is to validate a recently developed GNSS-based sea level instrument (called CalNaGeo) that is designed with the intention to map Sea Surface Heights (SSH) over large areas. This has been undertaken using the well-defined geodetic infrastructure deployed at Senetosa Cape, and involved the estimation of the stability of the waterline (and thus the instantaneous separation of a GNSS antenna from water level) as a function of the velocity at which the instrument is towed. The results show a largely linear relationship which is approximately 1 mm/(m/s) up to a maximum practical towing speed of ∼10 knots (∼5 m/s). By comparing to the existing “geoid” map, it is also demonstrated that CalNaGeo can measure a sea surface slope with a precision better than 1 mm/km (∼2.5% of the physical slope). Different processing techniques are used and compared including GNSS Precise Point Positioning (PPP, where the goal is to extend SSH mapping far from coastal GNSS reference stations) showing an agreement at the 1-2 cm level. [Termes IGN] niveau de la merRésumé : (auteur) Time-variable gravity measurements from the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) and GRACE Follow-On (GRACE-FO) missions have opened up a new avenue of opportunities for studying large-scale mass redistribution and transport in the Earth system. Over the past 19 years, GRACE/GRACE-FO time-variable gravity measurements have been widely used to study mass variations in diferent components of the Earth system, including the hydrosphere, ocean, cryosphere, and solid Earth, and signifcantly improved our understanding of long-term variability of the climate system. We carry out a comprehensive review of GRACE/GRACE-FO satellite gravimetry, time-variable gravity felds, data processing methods, and major applications in several diferent felds, includingterrestrial water storage change, global ocean mass variation, ice sheets and glaciers mass balance, and deformation of the solid Earth. We discuss in detail several major challenges we need to face when using GRACE/GRACE-FO time-variable gravity measurements to study mass changes, and how we should address them. We also discuss the potential of satellite gravimetry in detecting gravitational changes that are believed to originate from the deep Earth. The extended record of GRACE/GRACE-FO gravity series, with expected continuous improvements in the coming years, will lead to a broader range of applications and improve our understanding of both climate change and the Earth system. Note de contenu : 1 Introduction

[Termes IGN] vapeur d'eauRésumé : (auteur) Previous studies on short-term rainfall forecast using precipitable water vapor (PWV) and meteorological parameters mainly focus on rain occurrence, while the rainfall forecast is rarely investigated. Therefore, an hourly rainfall forecast (HRF) model based on a supervised learning algorithm is proposed in this study to predict rainfall with high accuracy and time resolution. Hourly PWV derived from Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) and temperature data are used as input parameters of the HRF model, and a support vector machine is introduced to train the proposed model. In addition, this model also considers the time autocorrelation of rainfall in the previous epoch. Hourly PWV data of 21 GNSS stations and collocated meteorological parameters (temperature and rainfall) for five years in Taiwan Province are selected to validate the proposed model. Internal and external validation experiments have been performed under the cases of slight, moderate, and heavy rainfall. Average root-mean-square error (RMSE) and relative RMSE of the proposed HRF model are 1.36/1.39 mm/h and 1.00/0.67, respectively. In addition, the proposed HRF model is compared with the similar works in previous studies. Compared results reveal the satisfactory performance and superiority of the proposed HRF model in terms of time resolution and forecast accuracy. [Termes IGN] trajet multipleRésumé : (auteur) For a few years now, GNSS multi-frequency quadrifilar helix antennas (QHA) are available to be used for precise GNSS applications. We performed test measurements with two types of multi-frequency QHA and compared them with a geodetic patch antenna. Although code and carrier phase noise and high-frequent multipath was determined to be larger as compared to the geodetic antenna, the fast-static horizontal coordinate accuracies are on the same level and demonstrate cm-accuracy capability. One of the QHA types exhibited an increased susceptibility to near-field multipath effects which resulted in a degraded accuracy of the vertical coordinate component.
