[Termes IGN] validité des donnéesRésumé : (auteur) As part of the Copernicus programme of the European Commission (EC), the European Space Agency (ESA) operates the Sentinel-2 mission that acquires high spatial resolution optical imagery. The consistency of the image time series is ensured by some specific performance requirements such as multi-temporal spatial registration and radiometric stability, routinely monitored by the Sentinel-2 Mission Performance Centre (S2MPC). The products also provide a rich set of metadata and auxiliary data to support high-level processing activities. This presentation provides a description of the main level-1 products calibration and validation activities, performed by the S2MPC including several Expert Support Laboratories (ESL). Measured performances and analysed results show the good quality of the mission products both in terms of radiometry and geometry. The current performances for Sentinel-2A and Sentinel-2B are compared to mission product quality requirements. [Termes IGN] traitement de semis de pointsIndex. décimale : PROJET Mémoires : Rapports de projet - stage des ingénieurs de 2e année Résumé : (auteur) Durant le cadre de ce stage de 10,5 semaines, j’ai appris à manipuler les différentes géotechnologies utilisées par le groupe TIDOP dans le cadre de la conservation préventive du patrimoine historique et culturel, en particulier au service du projet sud-européen HeritageCARE. L’objectif était d’aider dans le travail d’acquisition et de traitement le groupe de recherche TIDOP, basé à Avila en Espagne. Il fallait réunir les données traitant des monuments dont le groupe avait la charge. Cela est passé par la réalisation de panoramiques et de nuages de points 3D, tout ceci au service de visites virtuelles permettant de décrire chaque monument. Il a donc fallu apprendre à maîtriser les géotechnologies utilisées, afin d’avoir le savoir-faire nécessaire à construire à partir d’un appareil photo et du logiciel Hugin des panoramiques de qualité associées aux monuments à l’étude. Il a fallu également apprendre à s’adapter à la situation concernant les nombreux logiciels de traitement de nuages de points, leurs atouts et leurs faiblesses. Dans ce rapport, on montrera aussi des tentatives d’optimisation des prises de vue ou de la coloration des nuages de points, ces techniques originales fonctionnant plus ou moins bien. Durant la période du stage, plusieurs monuments ont reçu une visite virtuelle associée, notamment la muraille d’Avila et l’université de Salamanque. Novel objects, forms, processes and approaches have emerged and pose new, pressing questions about the temporality of digital maps and contemporary mapping practices: in spite of its implicit spatiality, digital mapping is strongly grounded in time. This collection brings time back into the map, taking up Doreen Massey's critical concern for 'ongoing stories' in the world; it asks how mapping enrols time into these narratives. Maps often seek to ‘freeze’ and ‘fix’ the world, looking to represent, document or capture dynamic phenomena. This collection examines how these processes are impacted by digital cartographic technologies that, arguably, have disrupted our understanding of time as much as they have provided coherence. The book consists of twelve chapters from experts in the field. Each addresses a different type of digital mapping practice and analyses it in relation to temporality. Cases discussed range from locative art projects, OpenStreetMap mapping parties, sensory mapping, Google Street View, to visual mapping, smart city dashboards and crisis mapping. Authors from different disciplinary positions consider how a temporal lens might focus attention on different aspects of digital mapping. This kaleidoscopic approach demonstrates a rich plethora of ways for understanding the temporal modes of digital mapping and the interdisciplinary background of the authors allows multiple positions to be developed and contrasted." [Termes IGN] trajet (mobilité)Résumé : (Auteur) Trajectory data analysis and mining require distance and similarity measures, and the quality of their results is directly related to those measures. Several similarity measures originally proposed for time-series were adapted to work with trajectory data, but these approaches were developed for well-behaved data that usually do not have the uncertainty and heterogeneity introduced by the sampling process to obtain trajectories. More recently, similarity measures were proposed specifically for trajectory data, but they rely on simplistic movement uncertainty representations, such as linear interpolation. In this article, we propose a new distance function, and a new similarity measure that uses an elliptical representation of trajectories, being more robust to the movement uncertainty caused by the sampling rate and the heterogeneity of this kind of data. Experiments using real data show that our proposal is more accurate and robust than related work. [Termes IGN] précision géométrique (imagerie)Résumé : (Auteur) The potential of large-scale block adjustment (BA) without ground control points (GCPs) has long been a concern among photogrammetric researchers, which is of effective guiding significance for global mapping. However, significant problems with the accuracy and efficiency of this method remain to be solved. In this study, we analyzed the effects of geometric errors on BA, and then developed a step-wise BA method to conduct integrated processing of large-scale ZY-3 satellite images without GCPs. We first pre-processed the BA data, by adopting a geometric calibration (GC) method based on the viewing-angle model to compensate for systematic errors, such that the BA input images were of good initial geometric quality. The second step was integrated BA without GCPs, in which a series of technical methods were used to solve bottleneck problems and ensure accuracy and efficiency. The BA model, based on virtual control points (VCPs), was constructed to address the rank deficiency problem caused by lack of absolute constraints. We then developed a parallel matching strategy to improve the efficiency of tie points (TPs) matching, and adopted a three-array data structure based on sparsity to relieve the storage and calculation burden of the high-order modified equation. Finally, we used the conjugate gradient method to improve the speed of solving the high-order equations. To evaluate the feasibility of the presented large-scale BA method, we conducted three experiments on real data collected by the ZY-3 satellite. The experimental results indicate that the presented method can effectively improve the geometric accuracies of ZY-3 satellite images. This study demonstrates the feasibility of large-scale mapping without GCPs.
