The objective of this research is to develop an effective methodology for urban LULC classification using image-based reflectance calibration methods: especially Vegetation-Impervious-Soil classes (VIS), using hyperspectral data. We used EO-1 Hyperion image of Pune City, India and assessed the suitability of different land covers as reflectance calibration surfaces. Furthermore, we performed LULC classification using different reflectance calibration methods such as Internal Area Relative Reflectance, Flat Field Relative Reflectance, and 6S for comparative analysis. Urban VIS signatures extracted from Hyperion image show distinct spectral curves at broader level. Flat Field Relative Reflectance method provides above 90 percent average overall accuracy. An advanced physics-based method such as 6S does not provide any added advantage over image-based calibration methods. [Termes IGN] traitement du signalRésumé : (auteur) Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) have become a powerful tool use in surveying and mapping, air and maritime navigation, ionospheric/space weather research and other applications. However, in some cases, its maximum efficiency could not be attained due to some uncorrelated errors associated with the system measurements, which is caused mainly by the dispersive nature of the ionosphere. Ionosphere has been represented using the total number of electrons along the signal path at a particular height known as Total Electron Content (TEC). However, there are many methods to estimate TEC but the outputs are not uniform, which could be due to the peculiarity in characterizing the biases inside the observables (measurements), and sometimes could be associated to the influence of mapping function. The errors in TEC estimation could lead to wrong conclusion and this could be more critical in case of safety-of-life application. This work investigated the performance of Ciraolo’s and Gopi’s GNSS-TEC calibration techniques, during 5 geomagnetic quiet and disturbed conditions in the month of October 2013, at the grid points located in low and middle latitudes. The data used are obtained from the GNSS ground-based receivers located at Borriana in Spain (40∘N, 0∘E; mid latitude) and Accra in Ghana (5.50∘N, −0.20∘E; low latitude). The results of the calibrated TEC are compared with the TEC obtained from European Geostationary Navigation Overlay System Processing Set (EGNOS PS) TEC algorithm, which is considered as a reference data. The TEC derived from Global Ionospheric Maps (GIM) through International GNSS service (IGS) was also examined at the same grid points. The results obtained in this work showed that Ciraolo’s calibration technique (a calibration technique based on carrier-phase measurements only) estimates TEC better at middle latitude in comparison to Gopi’s technique (a calibration technique based on code and carrier-phase measurements). At the same time, Gopi’s calibration was also found more reliable in low latitude than Ciraolo’s technique. In addition, the TEC derived from IGS GIM seems to be much reliable in middle-latitude than in low-latitude region. [Vedettes matières IGN] GéovisualisationRésumé : (Auteur) Whether it is sunrise, the weekend, or Christmas, some form of temporal structure or periodic pattern governs our daily activities. Understanding them is essential to making sense of human activity, because they frame normality and allow us to identify abnormalities. However, cultural heterogeneity and scale greatly complicate our ability to uncover and understand human activity at a given time within a region. Current research in the field of visual analytics and geography provide methods of addressing spatiotemporal periodicity, but they fall short in providing access to multiple spatial and temporal scales via a relevant calendar. In response to these shortcomings, we developed PerSE (periodicity in spatiotemporal events), a coordinated-view Web application designed to aid users in the detection and analysis of calendar-related periodicity in spatiotemporal event data sets. Given the complexity of such a visualization tool, this paper focuses on the usability and learnability of PerSE. We evaluated the tool through a 20-participant study that consisted of training, a multiple-choice test, and the System Usability Scale. Our analysis of the results shows that the complex combination of visual tools and multi-scale, multi-calendar capability used within PerSE is effective, but still in need of usability improvements. Airborne photogrammetry has found place in these applications as a modeling and a measuring tool. Vinci-Construction-Terrassement is a private company of public building and works sector that integrates drones and photogrammetry as a mapping solution and metrology investigation on its sites. This tool is very efficient for the calculation of stock volumes for instance, or for time tracking of specific areas with risk of landslides. The aim of the present work is to do direct georeferencing of images acquired by the camera leaning on an embedded GPS receiver. The UAS used needs to be low cost and therefore data processing is adapted to this constraint. Note de contenu : 1- Introduction - version française
