This seminar was jointly organized by the subcommissions 'Marine Geodesy' and 'Core Spatial Data' of the Netherlands Geodetic Commission (part of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences) and the SIM (Spatial Information Management) commission of the OGh (Oracle Gebruikersclub Holland). The theme of the seminar was about the challenges caused by the ever increasing amount of data that is generated by modern sensor systems, both in the wet and dry sectors. To reach a broader audience, both marine (multi-beam echo) and land (LiDAR) data was included. Note de contenu : - Management of massive point cloud data: wet and dry. [Termes IGN] étalonnage de capteur (imagerie)Résumé : (Auteur) This paper presents a method to calibrate a camera from panoramas. Camera calibration using panoramas has two main advantages: on the one hand it requires neither ground control points or calibration patterns and on the other hand the estimation of intrinsic and distortion parameters is of higher quality due to the loop constraint and to a decorrelation of tied parameters due to the fixed perspective center.
The paper is organised as follow. The first part presents the acquisition process and our mathematical estimation framework. The second part explores with simulated data sets the impact of noisy measures, of geometry of acquisition and of unmodelled parallaxes on the calibration results. A comparison with a traditional calibration method (i.e by using a 3D target network) is then studied. The final section presents results in a real case and compares the results obtained with our panorama approach against the classical calibration. The results are very promising.Numéro de notice : C2010-001 Affiliation des auteurs : MATIS (1993-2011) Thématique : IMAGERIE Nature : Communication nature-HAL : ComAvecCL&ActesPubliésIntl DOI : sans En ligne : https://www.isprs.org/proceedings/XXXVIII/part3/a/pdf/73_XXXVIII-part3A.pdf Format de la ressource électronique : URL article Permalink : https://documentation.ensg.eu/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=65056 Photogrammetric computer vision and image analysis, ISPRS Commission 3 symposium, Saint-Mandé, 1-3 septembre 2010, volume 1. [Termes IGN] télémètre laser terrestreRésumé : (Auteur) Terrestrial Linear Array CCD-based panoramic cameras have been used for purely imaging purposes, but they also have a high potential for use in high accuracy measurement applications. The imaging geometry and the high information content of those images make them suitable candidates for quantitative image analysis. For that a particular sensor model has to be established and the inherent accuracy potential has to be investigated. We developed a sensor model for terrestrial Linear Array-based panoramic cameras by means of a modified bundle adjustment with additional parameters, which models substantial deviations of a real camera from the ideal one. We used 3D straight-line information in addition to tie points to conduct a full calibration and orientation without control point information. Due to the similarity of the operation of laser scanners to panoramic cameras the sensor model of the panoramic cameras was extended for the self-calibration of laser scanners. We present the joint sensor model for panoramic cameras and laser scanners and the results of self-calibration, which indicate a subpixel accuracy level for such highly dynamic systems. Finally we demonstrate the systems’ accuracy of two typical panoramic cameras in 3D point positioning, using both a minimal number of control points and a free network adjustment. With these new panoramic imaging devices we have additional powerful sensors for image recording and efficient 3D object modeling.
