[Termes IGN] urbanismeRésumé : (Auteur) In a developing city, urban green space (UGS) plays an increasingly significant role in improving the urban environment and beautifying the urban landscape. In the meantime, UGS has been substantially and frequently interfered with by human activities. Taking Shenzhen city (a great metropolis of China) as an example, this study investigated the spatio-temporal dynamics of UGS and its influence on the urban thermal environment with Landsat images. From 1978 to 2018, all croplands and more than 50% of water bodies disappeared, while the built-up area increased more than 6 times. The rapid expansion of impervious surface and loss of UGS led to the spread of a surface urban heat island. The study shows that UGS has a significantly mitigating impact on urban land surface temperature, with cold islands mainly located at city parks. The results will be of great significance for improving UGS management, alleviating the urban heat island effect, and establishing a sustainable eco-environment. [Termes IGN] surveillance géologiqueRésumé : (Auteur) Reclaimed airports usually have fragile geological structures and are susceptible to the uneven ground settlements caused by filling-material consolidation, underground construction, and dynamic loading from takeoff and landing of aircrafts. Therefore, deformation monitoring is of great significance to the safe operation of reclaimed airports. This study adopts an improved permanent-scatterer interferometric synthetic-aperture radar strategy to map the spatiotemporal deformation of Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport in China using ascending and descending Envisat/ASAR data acquired from 2007 to 2010 and Sentinel-1 data from 2015 to 2019. The results show that uneven settlements of the airport concentrate in the new reclaimed land. Then we explore the settlement characteristics of each functional area. Furthermore, we separate out the dynamic-load settlement of runway No. 2 and confirm the settlements caused by dynamic load. This study provides new ideas for studying deformation in similar fields, and technical references for the future construction of Shenzhen Airport. [Termes IGN] vulnérabilitéRésumé : (auteur) Many countries promote urban agglomeration to enhance economic competitiveness, but the impacts of this strategy on local climate adaptation remain poorly understood. Here, we use variation in greenspaces to test the effectiveness of climate adaptation policy across climate impacts and vulnerability dimensions. Using satellite imagery and logistic regression, we analyze spatiotemporal correlation between greenspace and climate vulnerability in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, an area comprising ~ 70 million people and 11 cities, making it a useful natural experiment for our study. We find that while greenspace increases proportionally with climate exposure and sensitivity, many cities exhibit discrepancies between greenspace variation and climate vulnerability. Green adaptation funnels into wealthier, less vulnerable areas while bypassing more vulnerable ones, increasing their climate vulnerability and undermining the benefits of urban agglomeration. The results suggest that centrally-planned climate adaptation policy must accommodate local heterogeneity to improve urban sustainability. By neglecting local heterogeneity, urban agglomeration policy risks exacerbating spatial inequalities in climate adaptation. Specifically, the taxi is an important part of urban transportation, and taxi trips reflect human behaviors and mobility patterns, allowing us to identify the spatial variety of such patterns. Although taxi trips are generated in the form of network flows, previous works have rarely considered network flow patterns in the analysis of taxi mobility data; Instead, most works focused on point patterns or trip patterns, which may provide an incomplete snapshot. In this work, we propose a novel approach to explore the spatial-temporal patterns of taxi travel by considering point, trip and network flow patterns in a simultaneous fashion. Within this approach, an improved network kernel density estimation (imNKDE) method is first developed to estimate the density of taxi trip pick-up and drop-off points (ODs). Next, the correlation between taxi service activities (i.e., ODs) and land-use is examined. Then, the trip patterns of taxi trips and its corresponding routes are analyzed to reveal the correlation between trips and road structure. Finally, network flow analysis for taxi trip among areas of varying land-use types at different times are performed to discover spatial and temporal taxi trip ODs from a new perspective. A case study in the city of Shenzhen, China, is thoroughly presented and discussed for illustrative purposes. Furthermore, although multi models have been applied to population spatialization based on night-time light imagery (NLT) and census data, their accuracy needs to be further improved. Selected the Pearl River Delta (PRD), China as the study area, this work aimed to solve the aforementioned problems by constructing the residential extent extraction index (REEI) and employing the population growth theory and ‘DN density–population density’ model. Results indicated that the proposed approaches were feasible to optimize NTL products and simulate populations in both census (2000, 2010) and non-census (2005) years. Population evolution in the PRD presented distinct differences from space and over time, and mainly driven by socioeconomic development.
