[Termes IGN] teneur en eau de la végétationRésumé : (auteur) Water deficit in crops induces a stress that may ultimately result in low production. Identification of response of genotypes towards water deficit stress is very crucial for plant phenotyping. The study was carried out with the objective to identify the response of different rice genotypes to water deficit stress. Ten rice genotypes were grown each under water deficit stress and well watered or nonstress conditions. Thermal images coupled with visible images were recorded to quantify the stress and response of genotypes towards stress, and relative water content (RWC) synchronized with image acquisition was also measured in the lab for rice leaves. Synced with thermal imaging, Canopy reflectance spectra from same genotype fields were also recorded. For quantification of water deficit stress, Crop Water Stress Index (CWSI) was computed and its mode values were extracted from processed thermal imageries. It was ascertained from observations that APO and Pusa Sugandha-5 genotypes exhibited the highest resistance to the water deficit stress or drought whereas CR-143, MTU-1010, and Pusa Basmati-1 genotypes ascertained the highest sensitiveness to the drought. The study reveals that there is an effectual relationship (R2 = 0.63) between RWC and CWSI. The relationship between canopy reflectance spectra and CWSI was also established through partial least square regression technique. A very efficient relationship (calibration R2 = 0.94 and cross-validation R2 = 0.71) was ascertained and 10 most optimal wavebands related to water deficit stress were evoked from hyperspectral data resampled at 5 nm wavelength gap. The identified ten most optimum wavebands can contribute in the quick detection of water deficit stress in crops. This study positively contributes towards the identification of drought tolerant and drought resistant genotypes of rice and may provide valuable input for the development of drought-tolerant rice genotypes in future. [Vedettes matières IGN] CartologieRésumé : (auteur) The See Color is a color coding system based on Braille writing to communicate colors to people with visual impairments. This study assessed the perception of the theme Temperature by blind people, by using the See Color code on two isarithmic tactile maps and the perception of subjects with normal color vision. An average temperature map of Australia had 10 classes, but these intervals were regrouped into four classes on Corel Draw software. The new map was duplicated in the digital project in A4 size, both included the See Color code in two color schemes obtained from the Color Brewer website. Subsequently, they were laser-printed on swell paper to produce the tactile relief. The chromatic perception was observed, as well as the thermal sensations that the colors could represent for blind participants (06), normally sighted participants in basic education (23), and normally sighted participants in higher education (20). In this research, the See Color code showed the potential to provide spatial knowledge as a graphic language through colors in color maps for adventitiously blind and for normally sighted participants based on their perception of colors and tactile color codes. [Termes IGN] télédétection spatialeRésumé : (Auteur) Since the beginning of the twenty-first century, several countries have made great efforts to develop space remote sensing for building a high-resolution earth observation system. Under the great attention of the government and the guidance of the major scientific and technological project of the high-resolution earth observation system, China has made continuous breakthroughs and progress in high-resolution remote sensing imaging technology. The development of domestic high-resolution remote sensing satellites shows a vigorous trend, and consequently, a relatively stable and perfect high-resolution earth observation system has been formed. The development of high-resolution remote sensing satellites has greatly promoted and enriched modern mapping technologies and methods. In this paper, the de velopment status, along with mapping modes and applications of China’s high-resolution remote sensing satellites are reviewed, and the development trend in high-resolution earth observation system for global and ground control-free mapping is discussed, providing a reference for the subsequent development of high-resolution remote sensing satellites in China. [Termes IGN] système d'information géographiqueRésumé : (auteur) Rainwater harvesting (RWH), which is the collection and storage of rainwater for multiple purposes, is gaining recognition in water supply issues. Selection of harvesting sites is the most critical factor in RWH projects. The objective of this study is to develop a suitability map of RWH sites for a basin in Saudi Arabia. The method used, constitute the identification and assigning weights to criteria, and generation of suitability map using Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Eight appropriate criteria were considered. Results showed that excellent and good sites covered about 40.6% of the total available sites. Sensitivity analysis showed that the curve number (CN), slope, rainfall and soil were the most influential criteria. The maximum increase in the percentage area of excellent sites was 92% while good and moderate classes decreased by 43 and 53%, respectively. The developed suitability maps provide useful information to the decision maker for use in water management.
