[Termes IGN] visualisation de donnéesRésumé : (Auteur) Hyperspectral images have been proved to be effective for a wide range of applications; however, the large volume and redundant information also bring a lot of inconvenience at the same time. To cope with this problem, hyperspectral band selection is a pertinent technique, which takes advantage of removing redundant components without compromising the original contents from the raw image cubes. Because of its usefulness, hyperspectral band selection has been successfully applied to many practical applications of hyperspectral remote sensing, such as land cover map generation and color visualization. This paper focuses on groupwise band selection and proposes a new framework, including the following contributions: 1) a smart yet intrinsic descriptor for efficient band representation; 2) an evolutionary strategy to handle the high computational burden associated with groupwise-selection-based methods; and 3) a novel MTSP-based criterion to evaluate the performance of each candidate band combination. To verify the superiority of the proposed framework, experiments have been conducted on both hyperspectral classification and color visualization. Experimental results on three real-world hyperspectral images demonstrate that the proposed framework can lead to a significant advancement in these two applications compared with other competitors. [Termes IGN] séismeRésumé : (auteur) Image correlation is one of the most efficient techniques to determine horizontal ground displacements due to earthquakes, landslides, ice flows or sand dune migrations. Analyzing these deformations allows a better understanding of the causes and mechanisms of the events. By using sub-pixel correlation on before- and after-event ortho-images obtained from high resolution satellite images it is possible to compute the displacement field with high planimetric resolution. In this paper, we focus on measuring the ground displacements due to seismotectonic events. The three sub-pixel correlators used are: COSI-Corr – developed by Caltech, a free, closed-source correlator, dependent on commercial software (ENVI) and widely used by the geoscience community for measuring ground displacement; Medicis – developed by CNES, also a closed-source correlator capable of measuring this type of deformation; and MicMac – developed by IGN, the free open-source correlator we study and tune for measuring fine ground displacements. We measured horizontal ground deformation using these three correlators on SPOT images in three study cases: the 2001 Kokoxili earthquake, the 2005 dyke intrusion in the Afar depression and the 2008 Yutian earthquake. [Termes IGN] photogrammétrie terrestreRésumé : (auteur) Thanks to the high resolution of modern SAR satellites many persistent scatterers (PS) appear at single buildings. Approximately half of them represent building facades. These groups of points often show regular patterns in SAR images that can be related to repeating structure elements on the facades. Hence, individual buildings can now be monitored over time, either based on amplitude (for change detection) or phase information (using interferometric methods). However, patterns of point signatures are often disrupted or disappear when the imaging geometry is slightly changed. In addition, the localization accuracy of estimated and geocoded natural PS is not known, yet. The investigation at hand provides a detailed analysis of PS patterns based on reference data obtained from a photogrammetric survey and terrestrial measurements. The processing of the optical images allows creating a detailed 3D model of the respective facade, which represents the geometrical object information for SAR simulation. The terrestrial measurements allow relating the 3D model to its true position in a world coordinate system like UTM (Universal Transverse Mercator), which is necessary for assessing the localization accuracy of the signatures. From the simulation results the appearance of the point patterns of natural PS in high resolution SAR data can be better understood. Moreover, the localization accuracy and the precision for these points can be derived for the first time. The approach and findings for two case studies in Munich are described in detail in this paper. [Termes IGN] image hyperspectraleRésumé : (Auteur) Given a spectral library, sparse unmixing aims at finding the optimal subset of endmembers from it to model each pixel in the hyperspectral scene. However, sparse unmixing still remains a challenging task due to the usually high mutual coherence of the spectral library. In this paper, we exploit the spectral a priori information in the hyperspectral image to alleviate this difficulty. It assumes that some materials in the spectral library are known to exist in the scene. Such information can be obtained via field investigation or hyperspectral data analysis. Then, we propose a novel model to incorporate the spectral a priori information into sparse unmixing. Based on the alternating direction method of multipliers, we present a new algorithm, which is termed sparse unmixing using spectral a priori information (SUnSPI), to solve the model. Experimental results on both synthetic and real data demonstrate that the spectral a priori information is beneficial to sparse unmixing and that SUnSPI can exploit this information effectively to improve the abundance estimation.
