[Termes IGN] variation temporelleRésumé : (Auteur) In this paper, we investigate the hemispheric symmetric and asymmetric characteristics of ionospheric total electron content (TEC) and its dependency on the interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) in the northern and southern polar ionosphere. The changes in amplitude and phase scintillation are also probed through Global Ionospheric Scintillation and TEC monitoring (GISTM) systems recordings at North pole [Himadri station; Geographic 78°55′ N, 11°56′ E] and South pole [Maitri station; Geographic 70°46′ S 11°44′ E]. Observations show the range of %TEC variability being relatively more over Antarctic region (−40 % to 60 %) than Arctic region (−25 % to 25 %), corroborating the role of the dominant solar photoionization production process. Our analysis confirms that TEC variation at polar latitudes is a function of magnetosphere-ionosphere coupling, depending on interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) orientation and magnitude in the X ( Bx), Y ( By), and Z ( Bz) plane. Visible enhancement in TEC is noticed in the northern polar latitude when Bx6nT and Bz>0 whereas the southern polar latitude perceives TEC enhancements with Bx>0, −6nT Numéro de notice : A2021-469 Affiliation des auteurs : non IGN Thématique : POSITIONNEMENT Nature : Article nature-HAL : ArtAvecCL-RevueIntern DOI : 10.1515/jag-2021-0033 Date de publication en ligne : 22/06/2021 En ligne : https://doi.org/10.1515/jag-2021-0033 Format de la ressource électronique : URL Article Permalink : https://documentation.ensg.eu/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=98107

[Termes IGN] télémétrie laserRésumé : (auteur) This study proposes a new geometric calibration method for satellite laser altimeters based on waveform matching to solve the problems of poor initial pointing accuracy and a lack of control data. This non-real-time method obtains ground control points without a fixed calibration field. First, a large area with stepped surfaces is chosen from the laser altimetry coverage. Then, the laser echo waveforms are simulated using digital surface model (DSM) data of the stepped features. The real echo waveform attempts to match the simulated echo waveforms through a waveform matching model using a global constraint. Next, the control points of the laser altimeter are obtained through waveform matching. Finally, a geometric calibration model for laser altimeters is proposed to compensate for laser pointing and ranging errors. Two experiments were conducted to verify the calibration method using ICESat/GLAS data and airborne large-footprint laser data. Experimental results confirm that the method is feasible and results in an improvement in the elevation accuracy for the airborne altimeter from 2 to 0.5 m. [Termes IGN] vitesseRésumé : (auteur) Using the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) differenced total electron content (dTEC) series, the traveling ionosphere disturbances (TIDs) of 22 typhoons registered in Taiwan/Japan between 2013 and 2016 were studied. The horizontal speed of the first TID during a typhoon landing can be estimated by a two-station method with the ionosphere anomaly indicator in total electron count units (TECUs) (|dTEC| ≥ 0.15 TECU). The horizontal speed of the TIDs was from 155 to 210 m/s and with an average speed of 168.70 m/s. The estimated TID speeds of Typhoons Soudelor (205.93 m/s) and Megi (158.47 m/s) are not consistent with each other, even though they had very similar trajectories when cross through Taiwan Island. Moreover, the propagation velocity of the typhoon ionospheric anomaly showed a significant positive correlation ( r=0.78 , α=0.05 ) with the change rate of the typhoon central air pressure and a negative correlation ( r=−0.52 , α=0.05 ) with the central pressure before landing. Gravity waves were generated by land friction, terrain blocking, and strong wind shear transport energy into the atmosphere from the near surface to the mesosphere and thermosphere, which is the main cause of ionosphere disturbances during typhoon landing. [Termes IGN] résolution d'ambiguïtéRésumé : (auteur) Fixing single-satellite GPS carrier phase ambiguity could significantly improve the orbit accuracy of low earth orbit (LEO) satellite. Currently, the CNES/CLS, Wuhan University and CODE have published GPS integer phase clock products applied to single-satellite ambiguity fixing. In this paper, the integer phase clock method is used for single-satellite ambiguity fixing, and it is applied to the precise orbit determination of LEO satellite. Then, the application performances of integer phase clock products provided by different agencies in single-satellite ambiguity fixing and LEO satellite orbit determination are compared and analyzed. For GRACE-FO formation satellites, about 94% ambiguities could be fixed based on different products provided by the three agencies. Orbit solutions generated using the products from the three agencies can achieve an RMS of around 0.9 cm checked by satellite laser ranging data. Compared with ambiguity-float orbit solutions, the accuracy of absolute orbit determination with single-satellite ambiguity fixing is improved by about 30%. After fixing single-satellite ambiguities using the different products provided by CNES/CLS, WHU and CODE, respectively, the RMS of K-band ranging validation residuals for relative orbit solutions are reduced from 5.7, 5.4 and 5.3 mm to 2.1、 2.0 and 1.5 mm, respectively. The results show that the integer phase clock products provided by different agencies have similar performances in the single-satellite ambiguity fixing and orbit determination of GRACE-FO satellite. [Termes IGN] temps de convergenceRésumé : (Auteur) New GNSS signals have significantly augmented positioning service and promoted algorithmic innovations such as rapid PPP convergence. With the emerging of multifrequency signals, it becomes essential to thoroughly explore the contribution of third frequency pseudorange and carrier phase toward PPP. In this study, we research the role of the third frequency observations on accelerating PPP convergence, commencing from both stochastic and functional models. We first constructed the stochastic model depending on the observation noise and then introduced two uncombined functional models with respect to different inter-frequency bias (IFB) estimation strategies. The double-differenced residuals based on a zero baseline were used to evaluate the signal noises, which were 0.09, 0.07, 0.11, 0.01 and 0.09 m for Galileo E1/E5a/E5b/E5/E6 pseudorange and 0.24, 0.31 and 0.05 m for BeiDou B1/B2/B3. Besides, carrier phase observations E5a/E5/E6/B1I/B3I shared a comparable signal noise of 0.002 m, while the signal noises of E1/E5b/B2I were 0.003 m. Both BeiDou-2/Galileo and Galileo-only float PPP were implemented based on the dataset collected from 25 stations, spanning 30 days. Triple-frequency Galileo PPP achieved convergence successfully in 19.9 min if observations were weighted according to observation precision, showing a comparable performance of dual-frequency PPP. Meanwhile, the convergence time of triple-frequency float PPP was further shortened to 19.2 min when satellite pair IFBs were eliminated by estimating a second satellite clock. While the improvement of triple-frequency float PPP was marginal, triple-frequency PPP-AR using signals E1/E5a/E6 shortened the initialization time of the dual-frequency counterpart by 38%. Moreover, the performance of triple-frequency PPP-AR kept almost unchanged after we excluded the third frequency pseudorange observations. We thus suggest that the contribution of the third frequency to PPP mainly rests on ambiguity resolution, favored by the additional carrier phase observations.
