[Termes IGN] station de travail de photogrammétrie numériqueRésumé : (auteur) The development of applied geodetic techniques for mapping and documentation of historical structures, buildings and sites is an important and vital purpose for contribution of any recording of cultural heritage for any country such as Egypt. This is done to preserve and restore any valuable architectural or other cultural monument, as a support to architectural, archaeological and other art-historical research throughout the ages. The purpose of this paper is to use close range photogrammetry technique (CRP) to reconstruct 3D model of architectural and historical mosque facade and comparing the accuracy of using digital commercial non-metric cameras with different resolutions and metric camera with flatbed scanner and photogrammetric scanner for architectural building documentation. El-Nasr Mosque façade in Mansoura city, Egypt was chosen as a case study in this paper. At first, twenty five points were selected at mosque façade at different elevations and distributed at different façade surfaces and observed using total station. Some of these points were selected as control points and the others were selected as check points to validate the results. Effect of control point’s number on image processing and analysis is also studied. Three cameras positions were selected for imaging to get the full details of mosque façade. Close range Digital Workstation (CDW) program was used for processing and analysis of multiple images. The results are indicated that close range photogrammetry using metric camera with photogrammetry scanner instead of flatbed scanner in technique is accurate enough to be beneficial in 3D architectural building documentation. Digital cameras with CRP technique give up different accuracy that depends mainly on the resolution of cameras and camera specifications. [Termes IGN] segmentation sémantiqueRésumé : (auteur) Nowadays, cultural and historical built heritage can be more effectively preserved, valorised and documented using advanced geospatial technologies. In such a context, there is a major issue concerning the automation of the process and the extraction of useful information from a huge amount of spatial information acquired by means of advanced survey techniques (i.e., highly detailed LiDAR point clouds). In particular, in the case of historical built heritage (HBH) there are very few effective efforts. Therefore, in this paper, the focus is on establishing the connections between semantic and geometrical information in order to generate a parametric, structured model from point clouds using ontology as an effective approach for the formal conceptualisation of application domains. Hence, in this paper, an ontological schema is proposed to structure HBH representations, starting with international standards, vocabularies, and ontologies (CityGML-Geography Markup Language, International Committee for Documentation conceptual reference model (CIDOC-CRM), Industry Foundation Classes (IFC), Getty Art and Architecture Thesaurus (AAT), as well as reasoning about morphology of historical centres by analysis of real case studies) to represent the built and architecture domain. The validation of such schema is carried out by means of its use to guide the segmentation of a LiDAR point cloud from a castle, which is later used to generate parametric geometries to be used in a historical building information model (HBIM). [Termes IGN] zone urbaineRésumé : (auteur) The suitability assessment of land use is crucial to avoid wasting land resources. However, the traditional methods with subjective weights are prone to reduce the reasonability and reliability of assessment. For filling this knowledge gap, the probability neural network (PNN) coupled with GIS was adopted to evaluate the land use suitability in this paper. According to the applications of the urban land resource, the land use was divided into three types (resident, industry and ecological reserve). Thus, the three different assessment criteria systems were built for the three land use types. The result of residential land use indicated that the most suitable, suitable and normal suitable residential land were 401, 272 and 12,406 km2 and mainly located in Changhai, Lvshun and Pulandian accordingly. The most suitable land for industry was in Ganjingzi, Jinzhou and Wafangdian and accounted for 22% of the total area. While the most suitable land for ecological reserve was in Pulandian and Zhuanghe with the area of 1967 km2. The results indicated that the south of Dalian was suitable for the residential land use, north of Dalian was suitable for the ecological land use and the central was suitable for industrial land use. The results were coincided to the actual spatial distribution of land use. The proposed PNN coupled with GIS assessment method in suitability of land use is conducted to provide a more reasonable assessment result that can be used by managers and regulators. [Termes IGN] toitRésumé : (Auteur) This article suggests a new approach to automatic building footprint modeling using exclusively airborne LiDAR data. The first part of the suggested approach is the filtering of the building point cloud using the bias of the Z‐coordinate histogram. This operation aims to detect the points of roof class from the building point cloud. Hence, eight rules for histogram interpretation are suggested. The second part of the suggested approach is the roof modeling algorithm. It starts by detecting the roof planes and calculating their adjacency matrix. Hence, the roof plane boundaries are classified into four categories: (1) outer boundary; (2) inner plane boundaries; (3) roof detail boundaries; and (4) boundaries related to the missing planes. Finally, the junction relationships of roof plane boundaries are analyzed for detecting the roof vertices. With regard to the resulting accuracy quantification, the average values of the correctness and the completeness indices are employed in both approaches. In the filtering algorithm, their values are respectively equal to 97.5 and 98.6%, whereas they are equal to 94.0 and 94.0% in the modeling approach. These results reflect the high efficacy of the suggested approach.
