[Termes IGN] Web Feature ServiceRésumé : (auteur) Schema matching is a critical step in the integration of heterogeneous web service, which contains various types of web services and multi-version services of the same type. Mapping loss or mismatch usually occurs due to schema differences in structure and content and the variety in concept definition and organization. Current instance schema matching methods are not mature enough for heterogeneous web service because they cannot deal with the instance data in web service domain and capture all the semantics, especially metadata semantics. The metadata-based and the instance-based matching methods, in the case of being employed individually, are not efficient to determine the concept relationships, which are crucial for finding high-quality matches between schema attributes. In this paper, we propose an improved schema matching method, based on the combination of instance and metadata (CIM) matcher. The main method of our approach is to utilize schema structure, element labels, and the corresponding instance data information. The matching process is divided into two phases. In the first phase, the metadata-based matchers are used to compute the element label similarity of multi-version open geospatial consortium web service schema, and the generated matching results are raw mappings, which will be reused in the next instance matching phase. In the second phase, the designed instance matching algorithms are employed to the instance data of the raw mappings and fine mappings are generated. Finally, the raw mappings and the fine mappings are combined, and the final mappings are obtained. Our experiments are executed on different versions of web coverage service and web feature service instance data deployed in Geoserver. The results indicate that, the CIM method can obtain more accurate matching results and is flexible enough to handle the web service instance data. Cet objectif est réalisé en trois phases : l'étude des données du SIG2D, l'extraction et la transformation automatique des informations exploitables ; la représentation de la donnée avec la mise en place d'une bibliothèque de symboles 3D adaptés à nos besoins ; l'assemblage et la visualisation de la maquette 3D dans les logiciels. Ces recherches ont été menées lors de l'intégration de la classe des arbres, classe d'objets ayant un impact fort dans le rendu visuel de la maquette. Pour pallier au manque de connaissance des arbres du territoire, nous avons développé une méthode de détection automatique à partir du MNE. Cette méthode crée des fichiers de points d'arbres peuplant fidèlement les forêts mais détectant aussi les arbres isolés. Nous avons créé une chaîne de création automatique des symboles d'arbres pour notre maquette. However, a generic procedure for creating flexible generalization results supporting the fast and efficient update of original building models with various complexities is still an open problem. Moreover, building clusters created in previously published generalization methods are not flexible enough to meet the various requirements for both legible and realistic visualization. Motivated by these observations, this paper proposes a new method for generating a flexible generalization outcome which enables convenient updating of original building models. It also proposes a flexible preprocessing of this generalized information to render a legible and realistic urban scene. This is accomplished by introducing a novel component structure, termed as FEdge, particularly designed for efficiently managing the geometry and texture information in building cluster instances (both original building models and building clusters) during the generalization, visualization and updating processes. Furthermore, a multiple representation structure, referred to as Evolved Buffer-Tree (EBT), is also introduced. The purpose of the EBT is to organize building cluster instances and to employ more flexible LODs for both legible and realistic visualization of urban scenes. FEdge has an intuitive planar shape which can be effectively used in representing rough 3D facade composed by detailed continuous meshes. Each FEdge is given a unique identifier, referred to as FEdge Index. In the proposed generalization scheme, firstly each original building model treated as a building cluster instance is abstracted and presented as FEdge Indices. These FEdge Indices are then used for producing generalized building cluster instances in the EBT portably, and to support convenient model updating and flexible preprocessing of the generalization results for renderable building cluster instances. Secondly, to achieve a legible and realistic visualization of urban scene, the EBT is flexibly assigned diverse LODs maintaining more important legible information than LODs defined in CityGML for 3D building models. To make the generalization more accurate by considering the city roads and districts, an algorithm for automatic road analysis is applied in our clustering and combination. Numerous experiments considering the geometrical and textural complexity of common urban building models, as well as a typical case study of complex city scene with a large number of building models, verify the effectiveness of our generalization method and the dynamic visualization of the generalized urban models. A classical approach to solve them is to search the solution by means of a trial and error method. This approach is often used with success by artificial systems. However, when facing highly complex problems, it becomes necessary to introduce control knowledge (heuristics) in order to limit the number of trials needed to find the optimal solution. Unfortunately, acquiring and maintaining such knowledge can be fastidious. In this paper, we propose an automatic knowledge revision approach for systems based on a trial and error method. Our approach allows to revise the knowledge off-line by means of experiments. It is based on the analysis of solved instances of the considered problem and on the exploration of the knowledge space. Indeed, we formulate the revision problem as a search problem: we search the knowledge set that maximises the performances of the system on a sample of problem instances. Our knowledge revision approach has been implemented for a real-world industrial application: automated cartographic generalisation, a complex task of the cartography domain. In this implementation, we demonstrate that our approach improves the quality of the knowledge and thus the performance of the system.
