[Termes IGN] signature spectraleRésumé : (auteur) Hyperspectral unmixing (HU) is a crucial technique for exploiting remotely sensed hyperspectral data, which aims at estimating a set of spectral signatures, called endmembers and their corresponding proportions, called abundances. The performance of HU is often seriously degraded by various kinds of noise existing in hyperspectral images (HSIs). Most of existing robust HU methods are based on the assumption that noise or outlier only exists in one kind of formulation, e.g., band noise or pixel noise. However, in real-world applications, HSIs are unavoidably corrupted by noisy bands and noisy pixels simultaneously, which require robust HU in both the spatial dimension and spectral dimension. Meanwhile, the sparsity of abundances is an inherent property of HSIs and different regions in an HSI may possess various sparsity levels across locations. This article proposes a correntropy-based spatial-spectral robust sparsity-regularized unmixing model to achieve 2-D robustness and adaptive weighted sparsity constraint for abundances simultaneously. The updated rules of the proposed model are efficient to be implemented and carried out by a half-quadratic technique. The experimental results obtained by both synthetic and real hyperspectral data demonstrate the superiority of the proposed method compared to the state-of-the-art methods. After highlighting some specific aspects regarding RBSs and their characteristics and summarizing the results of a number of studies concerning the possible effects of electromagnetic fields on health, we have taken an area of north-east Rome with a high population and building density as a case study, and we have provided some methodological and applicative exemplifications for different situations and types of antennas. Through specific functionalities and criteria, drawing inspiration from a precautionary principle, these exemplifications show some particular cases in order to support: possible risk factor identification, surveillance and spatial analysis; correlation analysis between potential risk factors and outbreak of diseases and symptoms; measurement campaigns in heavily exposed areas and buildings; education policies and prevention actions. From an operative viewpoint, we have: conducted some field surveys and recorded data and images with specific geotechnological and geomatics instruments; retraced the routes by geobrowsers and basemaps and harmonized and joined up the materials in a GIS environment; used different functions to define, on aero-satellite images, concentric circular buffer zones starting from each RBS, and geographically and geometrically delimited the connected areas subject to high and different exposure levels; produced digital applications and tested prime three-dimensional models, in addition to a video from a bird’s eye view perspective, able to show the buildings in the different buffer zones and which are subject to a hazard hierarchy due to exposure to an RBS. A similar GIS-based model—reproposable with methodological adjustments to other polluting sources—can make it possible to conceive a dynamic and multiscale digital system functional in terms of strategic planning, decision-making and public health promotion in a performant digital health information system. [Termes IGN] occupation du solRésumé : (auteur) With the launch of Sentinel-2 new opportunities for large scale urban mapping arise. However, the spectral information embedded in the Sentinel-2 20 m spatial resolution bands cannot yet be fully explored in heterogeneous urban landscapes. The 20 m image pixels are often composed of different land covers, resulting in a difficult to interpret mixed pixel spectrum. Here, we propose an unmixing-based image fusion algorithm (UnFuSen2) that self-adapts to the spectral variability of varying land covers and improves the image fusion accuracy by constraining the unmixing equations on the basis of spectral mixing models and the correlation between spectral bands of coarse and fine spatial resolution, respectively. When compared to alternative state-of-the-art downscaling methods UnFuSen2 consistently showed the highest accuracy when applied across test sites in three different European cities (RMSEUnFuSen2 = 203 vs RMSEalternatives = [252, 337]). In a next step, we applied Multiple Endmember Spectral Mixture Analysis (MESMA) on the downscaled Sentinel-2 image cube (i.e. ten 10 m bands) to generate subpixel urban land cover fractions. We compared our MESMA results against the traditional MESMA output as applied on the original Sentinel-2 image cube (i.e. four 10 m bands and six 20 m bands) and tested its robustness against reference data obtained over all three study sites. Results revealed an average decrease in RMSE of respectively 18% and 8% for impervious surface and vegetation fractions when our approach was compared to the traditional MESMA outcomes. [Termes IGN] vapeur d'eauRésumé : (Auteur) The atmospheric precipitable water vapour (PWV) plays a crucial role in the hydrological cycle and energy transfer on a global scale. Radiosonde (RS), sunphotometer (SP) and GPS (as well as broader GNSS) receivers have gradually been the principal instruments for ground-based PWV observation. This study first co-locates the observation stations configured the three instruments in the globe and in three typical latitudinal climatic regions respectively, then the PWV data from the three instruments are matched each other according to the observing times. After the outliers are removed from the matched data pairs, the PWV intercomparisons for any two instruments are performed. The results show that the PWV estimates from any two instruments have a good agreement with very high correlation coefficients. The latitude and climate have no significant influence on the PWV measurements from the three instruments, indicating that the instruments are very stable and depend on their performance. The PWV differences of any two instruments display the normal distribution, indicating non-systematic biases among the two PWV datasets. The relative differences between SP and GPS are the smallest, the middle between SP and RS, and those between GPS and RS are the largest. This study will be useful to promote GPS (GNSS) and SP PWV to be a substitute for RS PWV as a benchmark because of their high temporal resolutions. [Termes IGN] TwitterRésumé : (auteur) The research focuses on detecting tourist flows in the Province of Styria in Austria based on crowdsourced data. Twitter data were collected in the time range from 2008 until August 2018. Extracted tweets were submitted to an extensive filtering process within non-relational database MongoDB. Hotspot Analysis and Kernel Density Estimation methods were applied, to investigate spatial distribution of tourism relevant tweets under temporal variations. Furthermore, employing the VADER method an integrated semantic analysis provides sentiments of extracted tweets. Spatial analyses showed that detected Hotspots correspond to typical Styrian touristic areas. Apart from mainly successful sentiment analysis, it pointed out also a problematic aspect of working with multilingual data. For evaluation purposes, the official tourism data from the Province of Styria and federal Statistical Office of Austria played a role of ground truth data. An evaluation with Pearson’s correlation coefficient was employed, which proves a statistically significant correlation between Twitter data and reference data. In particular, the paper shows that crowdsourced data on a regional level can serve as accurate indicator for the behaviour and movement of users.
