[Termes IGN] qualité des donnéesRésumé : (auteur) OpenStreetMap (OSM) produces a huge amount of labeled spatial data, but its quality has always been a deep concern. Numerous quality issues have been discussed in the vast literature, while the fitness of OSM for road navigability is only partly explored. Navigability depends on logical consistency, which focuses on the existence of logical contradictions within a data set. Researchers have discussed the insufficiency of established methods and the lack of a computational paradigm to assess the quality of the OSM data. To address the research gaps, the current work extended the capabilities of the Quantum GIS Processing Toolbox for assessment of spatial data. The models and scripts developed are able to assess logical consistency based on geographical topological consistency, semantic information, and morphological consistency. The established and proxy indicators are selected for measuring the logical consistency of OSM data for navigability. For empirical validation, OSM Punjab data are compared with authoritative data from HERE (proprietary) and the Remote Sensing Centre (RSC), Punjab, India. The results conclude that even the proprietary road data sets are not free from logical inconsistencies and data contributed by the masses are credible and navigable. OSM has produced better results than the RSC, but needs more crowd contributions to improve its quality. [Vedettes matières IGN] GéovisualisationRésumé : (auteur) We present our contribution to the geovisualization and visual analysis of hydraulic simulation data, based on an interdisciplinary research work undertaken by researchers in geographic information sciences and in hydraulics. The positive feedback loop between researchers favored the proposal of visualization tools enabling visual reasoning on hydraulic simulated data so as to infer knowledge on the simulation model. We interactively explore and design 2D multi-scale styles to render hydraulic simulated data, in order to support the identification over large simulation domains of possible local inconsistencies related to input simulation data, simulation parameters or simulation workflow. Models have been implemented into QGIS and are reusable for other input data and territories. The most widely used one is the geometry-free combination of carrier-phase smoothed code measurements. This method, however, introduces leveling errors that substantially degrade the performance of ionospheric modeling and bias estimation. To reduce leveling errors, precise point positioning (PPP) model is preferred for obtaining the ionospheric observables. We aim to investigate whether the ionospheric observables obtained from three different PPP models are consistent and how the PPP-based ionospheric observables relates to the smoothed code method. The paper begins by formulating the ionospheric observables. We then explain the statistical evaluation methods used for analyzing the bias terms derived from these methods and assessing the leveling errors from the carrier-phase smoothed code method. Numerical analysis is then conducted to compare the bias terms in the ionospheric observables and evaluate the leveling errors. The ionospheric observables based on the three PPP models show strong consistency. Compared to leveling errors in the carrier-phase smoothed code method, the leveling errors using the uncombined PPP model are significantly reduced up to five times. Care must therefore be exercised to continuously check the quality of the corrections and to detect the possible presence of mis-modeled biases in the network data. In network-RTK or its state-space implementation, PPP-RTK, quality control of the solutions is executed in two separate phases: the network component and the user component. Once confidence in the network-derived solutions is declared, a subset of the solutions is sent as corrections to a single-receiver user, thereby allowing the user to separately check the integrity of his network-aided model. In such a two-step integrity monitoring procedure, an intermediate step is missing, the integrity monitoring of the corrections themselves. It is the goal of this contribution to provide a quality control procedure for GNSS parameter solutions at the correction level, and to measure the impact a missed detection bias has on the (ambiguity-resolved) user position. New detection test statistics are derived with which the single-receiver user can check the overall validity of the corrections even before applying them to his data. A small-scale network of receivers is utilized to provide numerical insights into the detectability of mis-modeled biases using the proposed detectors and to analyze the impact of such biases on the user positioning performance. In this study, considering the advantages of the hierarchical tiling structure and topography of virtual globes, we propose a tile‐based optimal routing method for large‐scale road networks in a virtual globe. This method designs a topographically preserved road‐network tile model by partitioning roads into tiles and constructs the road‐network pyramid from the bottom to the top. During construction, a TileArc is calculated and flagged as the shortest path in a tile. Based on the built road‐network pyramid carrying hierarchical TileArcs, a multi‐level and flexible shortest path query can be executed efficiently. The proposed method is implemented with large road networks with different road grades in a virtual globe. Experimental results verify its validity, efficiency, and exactness. Moreover, the length of the shortest path with surface distance is approximately 1.3 times longer than that with Euclidean distance.
