[Termes IGN] télédétection en hyperfréquenceRésumé : (Auteur) This paper describes several sensitivity studies carried out with the French global 4-D-Var system to check its ability to assimilate surface-sensitive observations over land from the Special Sensor Microwave Imager (SSM/I). As well as a sound knowledge of land-surface parameters, the assimilation of SSM/I observations requires effective rain-detection and bias-correction algorithms. Three sensitivity components are hence analyzed with a special emphasis on the land-surface emissivity at SSM/I frequencies estimated from satellite observations. Several rain algorithms were tested to reject cloudy/rainy observations over land, and the bias-correction scheme was adapted to improve its performance over land and sea surfaces. Once these problems have been outlined, a global 4-D-Var assimilation experiment which assimilates SSM/I observations over land surfaces was run and compared with a control experiment. The impact on forecast scores has been found to be globally positive. Nevertheless, the very high sensitivity of SSM/I to each of the three components presented in this study is characterized by opposite effects that, once clustered together, lead to some residual biases over land due to their combined effects. [Termes IGN] reconstruction 3D du bâtiRésumé : (Auteur) A novel approach by integrating multi-view aerial imagery and lidar data is proposed to reconstruct 3D building models with accurate geometric position and fine details. First, a new algorithm is introduced for determination of principal orientations of a building, thus benefiting to improve the correctness and robustness of boundary segment extraction in aerial imagery. A new dynamic selection strategy based on lidar point density analysis and K-means clustering is then proposed to identify boundary segments from non-boundary segments. Second, 3D boundary segments are determined by incorporating lidar data and the 2D segments extracted from multi-view imagery. Finally, a new strategy for 3D building model reconstruction including automatic recovery of lost boundaries and robust reconstruction of rooftop patches is introduced. The experimental results indicate that the proposed approach can provide high quality 3D models with high-correctness, high-completeness, and good geometric accuracy. [Termes IGN] transformation géométriqueRésumé : (auteur) This dissertation investigated the use of a data conflation approach to improve the geometric quality of provisional cadastral datasets using existing higher quality topographical datasets. The main idea is that if there are similar features in both the provisional cadastral datasets and topographical datasets, then geometric quality improvement of provisional cadastres is possible through data conflation techniques. A data conflation approach was developed that consists of four main steps: processing, derivation of a road network usually represented implicitly in cadastral datasets, road network matching, and local geometric transformation of the cadastral datasets.
