[Termes IGN] réseau permanent EUREFRésumé : (auteur) The EUREF Permanent Network Densification is a collaborative effort of 26 European GNSS analysis centers providing series of daily or weekly station position estimates of dense national and regional GNSS networks, in order to combine them into one homogenized set of station positions and velocities. During the combination, the station metadata, including station names, DOMES numbers, and position offset definitions were carefully homogenized, position outliers were efficiently eliminated, and the results were cross-checked for any remaining inconsistencies. The results cover the period from March 1999 to January 2017 (GPS week 1000-1933) and include 31 networks with positions and velocities for 3192 stations, well covering Europe. The positions and velocities are expressed in ITRF2014 and ETRF2014 reference frames based on the Minimum Constraint approach using a selected set of ITRF2014 reference stations. The position alignment with the ITRF2014 is at the level of 1.5, 1.2, and 3.2 mm RMS for the East, North, Up components, respectively, while the velocity RMS values are 0.17, 0.14, and 0.38 mm/year for the East, North, and Up components, respectively. The high quality of the combined solution is also reflected by the 1.1, 1.1, and 3.5 mm weighted RMS values for the East, North, and Up components, respectively. [Termes IGN] structure-from-motionRésumé : (Auteur) State-of-the-art visual simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) techniques greatly facilitate three-dimensional (3D) mapping and modeling with the use of low-cost red-green-blue-depth (RGB-D) sensors. However, the effective range of such sensors is limited due to the working range of the infra-red (IR) camera, which provides depth information, and thus the practicability of such sensors in 3D mapping and modeling is limited. To address this limitation, we present a novel solution for enhanced 3D mapping using a low-cost RGB-D sensor. We carry out state-of-the-art visual SLAM to obtain 3D point clouds within the mapping range of the RGB-D sensor and implement an improved structure-from-motion (SfM) on the collected RGB image sequences with additional constraints from the depth information to produce image-based 3D point clouds. We then develop a feature-based scale-adaptive registration to merge the gained point clouds to further generate enhanced and extended 3D mapping results. We use two challenging test sites to examine the proposed method. At these two sites, the coverage of both generated 3D models increases by more than 50% with the proposed solution. Moreover, the proposed solution achieves a geometric accuracy of about 1% in a measurement range of about 20 m. These positive experimental results not only demonstrate the feasibility and practicality of the proposed solution but also its potential. [Vedettes matières IGN] GéovisualisationRésumé : (Auteur) With the product TopPlusOpen, the Federal Agency for Cartography and Geodesy (BKG) has for the first time provided a freely accessible web map, which is based entirely on open or free data sources. For this purpose, the BKG processed and combined many different data sources in order to achieve the best possible map presentation. Among others, free official spatial data of the Federal Government and the Open Data states Berlin, Hamburg, North Rhine-Westphalia and Thuringia are presented in the product. Furthermore, Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Rhineland-Palatinate provide their official spatial data for TopPlusOpen based on a cooperation agreement so that also these states are presented exclusively by official data. The services of the TopPlusOpen were released in September 2017. The product was very well received by the public, private and scientific sectors and is already used as a background map in many geoportals. The free access and the cross-border map presentation are especially mentioned.
