[Termes IGN] tectonique des plaquesRésumé : (Auteur) Precise leveling, tide-gauge recordings and time series from continuous GPS stations are all sources of information about the ongoing postglacial land uplift in Fennoscandia. This article describes how to gather these three sources of data together in a least-squares collocation adjustment in order to calculate uplift rates, as well as new heights for the benchmarks in the leveling network. The estimated reliability of the resulting uplift model is in general better than 0.4 mm/year, decreasing in areas of fewer data. [Termes IGN] transformation en ondelettesRésumé : (Auteur) The merging of a gravimetric quasigeoid model with GPS-levelling data using second-generation wavelets is considered so as to provide better transformation of GPS ellipsoïdal heights to normal heights. Since GPS-levelling data are irregular in the space domain and the classical wavelet transform relies on Fourier theory, which is unable to deal with irregular data sets without prior gridding, the classical wavelet transform is not directly applicable to this problem. Instead, second-generation wavelets and their associated lifting scheme, which do not require regularly spaced data, are used to combine gravimetric quasigeoid models and GPS-levelling data over Norway and Australia, and the results are cross-validated. Cross-validation means that GPS-levelling points not used in the merging are used to assess the results, where one point is omitted from the merging and used to test the merged surface, which is repeated for all points in the dataset. The wavelet-based results are also compared to those from least squares collocation (LSC) merging. This comparison shows that the second-generation wavelet method can be used instead of LSC with similar results, but the assumption of stationarity for LSC is not required in the wavelet method. Specifically, it is not necessary to (some-what arbitrarily) remove trends from the data before applying the wavelet method, as is the case for LSC. It is also shown that the wavelet method is better at decreasing the maximum and minimum differences between the merged geoid and the cross-validating GPS-levelling data. [Termes IGN] station de référenceRésumé : (Auteur) The multiple reference station approach is a method of integrating the information from multiple near-reference stations to further improve precise carrier-phase positioning relative to the traditional single reference station approach. Network RTK uses data from a network of reference stations to model the corelated atmospheric and orbital errors to predict the errors at the location of a rover within the network. One method for predicting the errors is using least squares collocation. Multiple reference station positioning is currently somewhat limited due to the processing options of off-the-shelf receivers. Network RTK corrections are converted into a single reference station corrections format so that a roving receiver can interpret them. Due to this limitation, focus has been on calculating the value of the corrections and ignoring any stochastic information because it could not be used. This paper examines the performance of the collocation-based multiple reference station approach using both the value and estimated variance-covariance of the correction. Tests on the Southern Alberta Network, Canada, show that this approach reduces L1 and L2 carrier-phase -measurement residuals by 13 to 35 percent and 3D position errors by 16 to 35 percent. [Termes IGN] transformation en ondelettesRésumé : (auteur) Present and forthcoming satellite gravity missions provide us with new and unique datasets in order to model the Earth's gravity field at 100 km resolution. These new models will bring significant advances in our understanding of the Earth's structure and dynamics. However, it will be necessary to combine satellite data with surface and airborne measurements in order to improve the short wavelength components of the gravity field. The derived regional models with an increased spatial resolution will be used to carry out geodynamic studies at lithospheric or crustal scale. Whereas the classical spherical harmonics decomposition leads to strong numerical difficulties when dealing with local features, wavelet-based representations can handle the local scales as well as the global ones; they should thus be extremely useful to derive local models taking into account data of different origins. Here we describe the construction of wavelet frames on the sphere based on the Poisson multipole wavelet. Those wavelets are of special interest for field modelling since their shape is linked to the potential of multipole sources, and their scaling parameter to the multipole depth (Holschneider et al., 2003). We also compute a local wavelet decomposition of the gravity field at high resolution from evenly and unevenly distributed data using least squares collocation. Our first results show the efficiency of such a representation.
