[Termes IGN] station GNSSRésumé : (Auteur) The global reference frame realizations (as ITRFyy) (International Terrestrial Reference Frame), the corresponding IGSyy (International GNSS Service) and their regional densification solutions are published as SSC (Set of Station Coordinates and velocities) and SINEX files, where each of the included stations are treated in the same way and the coordinates refer to a single common epoch. Although these realizations are considered the actually best solution, it does not mean that all involved stations have the same level of reliability. The only product quality indicators are the uncertainties rendered to the coordinates and velocities, therefore the users must pay special regard to avoid distortions in the actual applications. In this paper, the separation and categorization of the reference stations is proposed. The categorization is based on the analysis of series of consecutive cumulative solution, where the convergence of the velocity estimates is considered as main categorization criteria. Class_A includes the reliable fiducial stations with long observation series (at least one years of recent data) and "consolidated" velocity parameters. Class_B mostly covers young sites, which not yet fulfilling the criteria for being fiducial station, and those may only be used for solution control. The Class_B stations also have high quality cumulative coordinates, referred to the epoch of minimum variance, which is different at each site, however no velocities are published. The main target of the proposed categorization/separation is not the exclusion of any reference sites, rather the estimation of the optimal (earliest) epoch for a recently installed stations, from when it can be used as geodetic reference. The categorization criteria and the related terms are described and discussed in the paper. This approach is successfully implemented for the EPN (EUREF Permanent Network). We found that as of January 2010 about 80% of the EPN stations can be considered as Class_A, and more than 50, recently installed stations are still not offered as fiducial for reference frame applications. The categorization is revised in each 15 weeks, and these stations are moved to Class_A, when they fulfilling the respective criteria. The presented approach is straightforward and can easily be extended both to global and national long term GNSS solutions. [Termes IGN] trigonométrie sphériqueRésumé : (Auteur) A projection family, named Equal Arc Ratio Projection (EARP), is proposed in this paper, which has two kinds of geometric cases. Coordinates in the projections are determined by the ratios between four special arcs. The projection for spherical octahedron is derived, which is available for Dutton's Quaternary Triangular Mesh (QTM), and both projections of Goodchild's and Otoo's for QTM are found to be two special implementations of EARP. The icosahedral projection and thus the corresponding spherical triangle quadtree partition model are also developed. The partition model is compared with several other global grid models. [Termes IGN] superposition d'imagesRésumé : (Auteur) We present a new interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) processing approach that capitalizes on the precise orbit tracking that is available with modern radar satellites. Our method uses an accurate orbit information along with motion-compensation techniques to propagate the radar echoes to positions along a noninertial virtual orbit frame in which the location and focusing equations are particularly simple, so that images are focused without requiring autofocus techniques and are computed efficiently. Motion compensation requires two additional focus correction phase terms that are implemented in the frequency domain. If the images from an interferometric pair or stack are all computed along the same reference orbit, flat-Earth topographic correction is not needed, and image coregistration is simplified, obviating many difficulties that are often encountered in InSAR processing. We process several data sets collected by the ALOS PALSAR instrument and find that the geodetic accuracy of the radar images is 10-20 m, with up to 20 m of additional image distortion needed to align 100 km x 100 km scenes with reference digital elevation models. We validated the accuracy by using both known radar corner reflector locations and by the registration of the interferograms with digital maps. The topography-corrected interferograms are free from all geometric phase terms, and they clearly show the geophysical observables of crustal deformation, atmospheric phase, and ionospheric phase.
