[Termes IGN] traitement de données GNSSRésumé : (Auteur) For rapid static positioning, the combined analysis of all observed GNSS becomes more and more important in view of the steadily increasing number of active satellites (early in 2009 exceeding 50 GPS+GLONASS satellites). Successful ambiguity fixing for all involved GNSS is the key for this application. First results of an implementation of a «GNSS-capable» LAMBDA ambiguity resolution scheme into a project version of the Bernese Software are presented. [Termes IGN] télémètre laser terrestreRésumé : (Auteur) In recent years, the method of self-calibration widely used in photogrammetry has been found suitable for the estimation of systematic errors in terrestrial laser scanners. Since high correlations can be present between the estimated parameters, ways to reduce them have to be found. This paper presents a unified approach to self-calibration of terrestrial laser scanners, where the parameters in a least-squares adjustment are treated as observations by assigning appropriate weights to them. The higher these weights are the lower the parameter correlations are expected to be. Self-calibration of a pulsed laser scanner Leica Scan Station was performed with the unified approach. The scanner position and orientation were determined during the measurements with the help of a total station, and the point clouds were directly georeferenced. The significant systematic errors were zero error in the laser rangefinder and vertical circle index error. Most parameter correlations were comparatively low. In part, precise knowledge of the horizontal coordinates of the scanner centre helped greatly to achieve low correlation between these parameters and the zero error. The approach was shown to be advantageous to the use of adjustment with stochastic (weighted) inner constraints where the parameter correlations were higher. At the same time, the collimation error could not be estimated reliably due to its high correlation with the scanner azimuth because of a limited vertical distribution of the targets in the calibration field. While this problem can be solved for a scanner with a nearly spherical field-of-view, it will complicate the calibration of scanners with limited vertical field-of-view. Investigations into the influence of precision of the scanner position and levelling on the adjustment results lead to two important findings. First, it is not necessary to level the scanner during the measurements when using the unified approach since the parameter correlations are relatively low anyway. Second, the scanner position has to be known with a precision of about 1 mm in order to get a reliable estimate of the zero error. [Termes IGN] varianceRésumé : (Auteur) In this paper, a least-squares based cadastral parcel area adjustment in geographic information systems (GIS) is developed based on (1) both the areas and coordinates being treated as observations with errors; and (2) scale parameters being introduced to take the systematic effect into account in the process of cadastral map digitization. The area condition equation for cadastral parcel considerations of scale parameters and geometric constraints is first constructed. The effects of the scale error on area adjustment results are then derived, and statistical hypothesis testing is presented to determine the significance of the scale error. Afterwards, Helmert's variance component estimation based on least-squares adjustment using the condition equation with additional parameters is proposed to determine the weight between the coordinate and area measurements of the parcel. Practical tests are conducted to illustrate the implementation of the proposed methods. Four schemes for solving the inconsistencies between the registered areas and the digitized areas of the parcels are studied. The analysis of the results demonstrates that in the case of significant systematic errors in cadastral map digitization, the accuracies of the adjusted coordinates and areas are improved by introducing scale parameters to reduce the systematic error influence in the parcel area adjustment. Meanwhile, Helmert's variance component estimation method determines more accurate weights of the digitized coordinates and parcel areas, and the least-squares adjustment solves the inconsistencies between the registered areas and the digitized areas of the parcels. [Termes IGN] réseau de nivellementRésumé : (auteur) (Auteur) Data collection is a very tedious and repetitive process. No matter how carefully the data are collected, mistakes are a part of life during field collections. Even during the most careful data collecting processes, it is easy to overlook something or make a simple mistake, which can introduce a blunder in the data. This paper analyzes blunder detection using the Tau criterion and researches its use to isolate and eliminate blunders from the data. A software program that was previously written to perform a least squares adjustment on a differential leveling network has been enhanced to incorporate the Tau criterion as a method for the detection of blunders within the data. [Termes IGN] régression multipleRésumé : (Auteur) The weighted total least-squares solution (WTLSS) is presented for an errors-in-variables model with fairly general variance–covariance matrices. In particular, the observations can be heteroscedastic and correlated, but the variance–covariance matrix of the dependent variables needs to have a certain block structure. An algorithm for the computation of the WTLSS is presented and applied to a straight-line fit problem where the data have been observed with different precision, and to a multiple regression problem from recently published climate change research.
