[Termes IGN] transformation en ondelettesRésumé : (auteur) Growing importance of Global Positioning System (GPS) applications in various fields, leads many researches to the security of GPS systems and investigation of eventual perturbations in them. One of the most important intentional interferences is spoofing. This work presents an anti-spoofing method based on complex wavelet transform (CWT). Fake satellites are omitted and then understrength satellites due to spoofing are identified. The results of investigation suggest that the proposed CWT based estimation and extraction method is better than relatively simple wavelet transform. The suggested filter is applied in the Intermediate Frequency signal. Cross-validation technique is used for automatically identifying wavelet signal layers. The proposed method has been implemented on different collected datasets. Software GPS Receiver has been used to implement and validate the developed anti-spoofing technique because it is more flexible and economical compared with usual hardware receivers. [Termes IGN] transformation en ondelettesRésumé : (Auteur) Digital Earth frameworks deal with data sets of different types collected from various sources. To effectively store, retrieve, and transmit these data sets, efficient multi-scale data representations that are compatible with the underlying structure of the Digital Earth framework are required. In this article, we describe several such techniques and their properties: namely, how to represent data in the multi-scale cell hierarchy of a discrete global grid system (DGGS) or in the multi-scale hierarchy of a customized wavelet transform. We also discuss how these techniques can be tuned to be applicable to the A3H DGGS. [Termes IGN] transformation en ondelettesRésumé : (Auteur) Information derived from waveform decomposition of full-waveform light detection and ranging (LiDAR) data has been widely used in vegetation detection and three-dimensional urban terrain modeling to investigate and interpret the structural diversity of surface coverage. Most prevailing waveform decomposition methods involve only a single wavelength, but these methods do not apply to full-waveform multispectral LiDAR (FWMSL) systems that simultaneously acquire spectral and geometric information. In this paper, we propose a new multispectral waveform decomposition (MSWD) method in order to explore the potential advantages of the FWMSL system. Both simulated data and measured data from our FWMSL system were used to evaluate the performance of the proposed method. The coefficient of determination (R2), root mean square error (RMSE), and relative error (rRMSE) metrics suggest that the decomposition results derived from MSWD exhibit a comparable overall fitting accuracy as a single wavelength waveform decomposition (SWWD) method. We also propose a new evaluation indicator, relative neighbor distance error (RNDE), to represent the relative error in the distance between adjacent targets. The simulation results present clear superiority of MSWD over SWWD in terms of discovering weak or overlapping components and retrieving accurate waveform parameters. The experimental results demonstrated a considerable improvement in RNDE (0.0100–0.0610) over the prevailing SWWD method (0.0566–0.2833). Unlike SWWD, MSWD initializes waveform components using mutually complementary wavelengths thus delivering higher completeness and accuracy. MSWD can be extended to other FWMSL or full-waveform hyperspectral LiDAR systems with additional wavelengths. [Termes IGN] transformation en ondelettesIndex. décimale : THESE Thèses et HDR Résumé : (auteur) Remote sensing data from Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) sensors offer a unique opportunity to record, to analyze, and to predict the evolution of the Earth. In the last decade, numerous satellite remote sensing missions have been launched (Sentinel-1, UAVSAR, TerraSAR X, etc.). This resulted in a dramatic improvement in the Earth image acquisition capability and accessibility. The growing number of observation systems allows now to build high temporal/spatial-resolution Earth surface images data-sets. This new scenario significantly raises the interest in time-series processing to monitor changes occurring over large areas. However, developing new algorithms to process such a huge volume of data represents a current challenge. In this context, the present thesis aims at developing methodologies for change detection in high-resolution SAR image time series. These series raise two notable challenges that have to be overcome:On the one hand, standard statistical methods rely on multivariate data to infer a result which is often superior to a monovariate approach. Such multivariate data is however not always available when it concerns SAR images. To tackle this issue, new methodologies based on wavelet decomposition theory have been developed to fetch information based on the physical behavior of the scatterers present in the scene. On the other hand, the improvement in resolution obtained from the latest generation of sensors comes with an increased heterogeneity of the data obtained. For this setup, the standard Gaussian assumption used to develop classic change detection methodologies is no longer valid. As a consequence, new robust methodologies have been developed considering the family of elliptical distributions which have been shown to better fit the observed data. The association of both aspects has shown promising results in change detection applications. [Termes IGN] transformation en ondelettesRésumé : (Auteur) Previous studies have proved that commercial, off-the-shelf, geodetic-quality Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers can monitor water level using multipath interferometric characteristics from the sea surface. A Lomb–Scargle periodogram (LSP) is typically used to extract the multipath frequency from the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), which relates to the vertical distance between the antenna phase center and the reflecting surface, and subsequently, estimate sea levels. A wavelet transform can be used to analyze the time series with a nonstationary power at different frequencies, as can be the case for multipath signals. In addition, wavelet transform analysis estimates the local energy and instantaneous frequency of the signal at every epoch, which is beneficial for water-level estimation. Therefore, we attempt to extract the instantaneous multipath frequency using wavelet transform analysis for water leveling with a geodetic GPS receiver. This study analyzed SNR data of GPS L1C from three test sites: the Kachemak Bay site PBAY (AK, USA), the Friday Harbor site SC02 (WA, USA), and the Brest Harbor site BRST (France). These sites are located in different multipath environments, from a rural coastal area to a busy harbor, and they experience different tidal regimes. The results show that the wavelet analysis has potential for the retrieval of sea level heights. For measurement site PBAY the comparison of the results obtained by the wavelet and LSP analysis yield consistency within a few percent. At the other two sites, SC02 and BRST, the agreement is significantly lower.
