[Termes IGN] transformation en ondelettesRésumé : (auteur) Various factors cause GPS signals to be weakened in their path from satellites to receiver. This phenomenon leads to some problems in the normal stages of the positioning process, including acquisition stage. The wavelet transform is one of the tools that have been employed in several methods to improve receiver’s sensitivity in confronting weak GPS signals. Choosing an appropriate threshold plays a key role in the performance of this de-noising method. This study presents two methods for selecting an appropriate threshold. In the first method, the threshold is determined based on the statistical information extracted from the signal. On the other hand, the threshold in the second method is determined by type II fuzzy sets. The results show that employment of these two methods increases SNR gain as well as the range of acquirable SNR which makes signals acquisition with minimum post-correlation SNR of −6.5dB in a GPS receiver possible. [Termes IGN] transformation en ondelettesRésumé : (auteur) Multiresolution analysis (MRA) methods have been successfully used in texture analysis. Texture analysis is widely discussed in literature, but most of the methods which do not employ multiresolution strategy cannot exploit the fact that texture occurs at various spatial scales. This paper proposes a methodology to identify different classes in satellite images using texture features from newly developed multiresolution methods. The proposed method is tested on remotely sensed optical images and a Pauli RGB decomposed version of synthetic aperture radar image. The textural information is extracted at various scales and in different directions from curvelet and contourlet transforms. The results are compared with wavelet-based features. Accuracy assessment is performed and comparative analysis is carried out using minimum distance to mean, support vector machine and random forest classifiers. It is found that the proposed method shows better class discriminating power and classification capability as compared to existing wavelet-based method. [Termes IGN] transformation en ondelettesRésumé : (auteur) Integration of both global positioning system (GPS) and inertial navigation system (INS) assures a continuous and accurate navigation system. In low-cost low-precision micro-electromechanical system (MEMS)-based INS/GPS integration navigation systems, one of the major concerns is high-level stochastic noise and uncertainties existing in INS sensors and complex model of real noisy data. In such uncertainty-oriented environments, an intelligence structure with extra degrees of freedom which can handle and model a high-level of uncertainties in INS sensors, and an efficient denoising technique as a precursor to the intelligence structure can be efficient solutions. Our approach to these problems is taken in different steps. First, a denoising technique based on empirical mode decomposition (EMD) is used to provide more accurate INS sensor outputs and better generalization ability. Second, an optimized interval type-2 fuzzy neural network is used to model and handle a high-level of uncertainties efficiently and estimate the positioning error of INS sensors when GPS signals are blocked, and still meet both accuracy maximization and complexity minimization. Fast learning and convergence of the algorithm and less computational complexity can be achieved by using an extended Kalman filter in the learning of algorithm and an accurate and simple type-reduction, respectively, which can be utilized in real-time applications with significant performance. The results of EMD-based denoising technique, as a preprocessing phase, verify superior performance in comparison with the discrete wavelet transform denoising method in the signal-to-noise ratio improvement for raw and noisy signals of INS sensors. To verify the effectiveness of our proposed model, we applied challenging conditions consisting of low-cost low-precision inertial sensors based on MEMS technology, long-term outages of GPS satellites, a high-speed experimental test vehicle and noisy real-world data in the real-time flight experiments. The achieved experimental accuracies are compared with the results that we have achieved in other methods, and our proposed method verifies significant improvements. [Termes IGN] transformation en ondelettesRésumé : (auteur) The analysis of chlorophyll concentration based on spectroscopy has great importance for monitoring the growth state and guiding the precision nitrogen management of potato crops in the field. A suitable data processing and modeling method could improve the stability and accuracy of chlorophyll analysis. To develop such a method, we collected the modelling data by conducting field experiments at the tillering, tuber-formation, tuber-bulking, and tuber-maturity stages in 2018. A chlorophyll analysis model was established using the partial least-square (PLS) algorithm based on original reflectance, standard normal variate reflectance, and wavelet features (WFs) under different decomposition scales (21–210, Scales 1–10), which were optimized by the competitive adaptive reweighted sampling (CARS) algorithm. The performances of various models were compared. The WFs under Scale 3 had the strongest correlation with chlorophyll concentration with a correlation coefficient of −0.82. In the model calibration process, the optimal model was the Scale3-CARS-PLS, which was established based on the sensitive WFs under Scale 3 selected by CARS, with the largest coefficient of determination of calibration set (R2c) of 0.93 and the smallest R2c−R2cv value of 0.14. In the model validation process, the Scale3-CARS-PLS model had the largest coefficient of determination of validation set (R2v) of 0.85 and the smallest root–mean–square error of cross-validation (RMSEV) value of 2.77 mg/L, demonstrating good prediction capability of chlorophyll concentration. Finally, the analysis performance of the Scale3-CARS-PLS model was measured using the testing data collected in 2020; the R2 and RMSE values were 0.69 and 3.36 mg/L, showing excellent applicability. Therefore, the Scale3-CARS-PLS model could be used to analyze chlorophyll concentration. This study indicated the best decomposition scale of continuous wavelet transform and provided an important support method for chlorophyll analysis in the potato crops.
